BOOOOM!
A pillar of white light shot out from Leyla, piercing the sky.
Christopher stood frozen, his jaw agape. Beside him, Tiamat watched in awe. Leyla ascended into the air, her body enveloped in a cocoon of white energy; her black hair instantly turned to pure white.
"She did it!" Tiamat exclaimed:
"She successfully merged with the light spirit!"
BOOOOOOM!
A burst of intense energy erupted from Leyla, pushing Christopher several steps back. Half of the surrounding buildings instantly disintegrated into dust.
"What?!"
Christopher's eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at the clean, lateral cut through the building.
"So strong?!" He looked up at Leyla, who had just broken through into the Transcendent rank.
"She... she skipped the entire Supreme level?!" He was dumbfounded.
_____
BOOOOM!
Miles away, Darkness stopped and glanced over his shoulder.
"What is that?! No! It can't be!"
The dragon whirled around and shot towards the white light.
____
BAM!
Dracula and Lincoln smashed into the ground, both coughing up a mouthful of blood.
"This is insane!" Lincoln groaned, his expression grim. "These three are too strong!"
BOOOOOOM!
The five of them—Dracula, Lincoln, Lucas, Reaper, and Death—turned towards the explosion. Lucas's eyes shrank to the size of a needle, seeing the pillar of white light.
"To the master!" She spread her wings and shot into the air. Reaper dropped to all fours and ran, with Death following closely behind.
"Are we safe?" Lincoln asked, only to see several clones of Christopher standing before them.
"Without those beasts, we can handle them." Dracula stood, picking up his sword.
"We lost the five guardians. This defeat must be avenged."
"Aren't you curious about that light?" Lincoln asked.
"Which one?"
Dracula turned, a frown on his face.
"Which one?"
Lincoln followed his gaze, his eyes widening. There were now two pillars of light—one red and one white—shooting into the sky.
WHOOSH!
The Christopher clones vanished.
"Something isn't right! Come on!" Dracula said, but Lincoln stopped him.
"I say we back down!"
"What?!" Dracula snapped.
"Those three beasts are heading to that spot, and I'm sure the real Christopher is waiting for us there! I say we retreat and heal! The leader should have reached the barricade by now, we should assist him."
"Do you really think the leader won't go there?!" Dracula yelled, then sighed.
"Okay, younger brother... we will go and spectate. If we can't win, we can simply retreat."
Lincoln nodded in agreement.
_____
BOOOOOM!
Sunny shattered the final skeleton's skull and turned to the explosion. Ragnarok and Garrett were rushing towards them with Electra and Alex.
"What is happening over there?!" Xing yelled as the four landed.
"We don't know," Garrett replied, his relief evident. "But whatever caused that explosion caught the attention of the Golden Organization's leader. He was right behind us."
Xing stared at him for a second before turning her gaze to Electra and Alex. "What about the others?"
The two lowered their heads, saying nothing. Xing understood, and turned to Phoenix.
"Let's go!"
"Go where?!" Phoenix asked, frowning.
"Master is in the city! At that spot!" Xing pointed to the two pillars of light.
"Really?!" Sunny instantly grew anxious.
"Yes!"
"Then what are we waiting for?!"
Without hesitation, Sunny shot into the air, flying towards the location at full speed. Xing looked at them, then followed suit.
"You can go inside and ask for a doctor," Ragnarok said to Electra.
The rest of the Beast Kings flew into the sky and moved towards the location.
Electra looked at Alex. "If their master is our former master, shouldn't we find out who he is?" she asked.
"They valued him so much they would jump into flames without a thought," Alex said.
"We... I need to see."
The soldiers watched as the two flew into the air, following the Beast Kings.
_____
[Back To Christopher.]
BOOOM!
Christopher turned to Advika just as a wave of fire moved towards him.
BOOOOOOM!!!!
The flames collided with him and, to his surprise, entered his body.
"Phew... thank goodness I have the Ice Primordial Flame," he muttered, staring at Advika, who was now ascending into the air.
BOOOM!!!
"What the hell?! A peak Transcendent?!" Christopher was horrified.
"Is she absorbing that bitch's full powers?!" Tiamat asked in shock.
"Is that even possible?!" Christopher yelled back.
BOOOOOOM!!!
A pillar of countless colorful flames burst from Advika, shooting into the sky.
"She just entered the Ascendant rank!" Christopher was speechless.
CRACK!
He quickly flew into the air as the remaining buildings shattered and collapsed.
"Master... enemies are coming!" Lazarus reported.
Christopher nodded, landing on Lazarus's head.
"There is no way to hide this type of energy." He sat down, staring at the two pillars of light.
Leyla slowly opened her eyes. Her energy subsided, flowing back into her body.
"Huh?" She was stunned, seeing Advika.
"Come out!"
The space behind her cracked open, and her huge cobra flew out, now pure white. Leyla leaped backward, landing on her beast's head.
"Up here."
She looked up, seeing Christopher on his golden dragon.
"Up, girl!"
Her beast nodded and flew towards Christopher, hovering beside the dragon.
"How is this guy so big?" Leyla asked, staring at Lazarus's body, which was ten times larger than her snake.
"Congratulations on breaking through," Christopher said, ignoring her question.
"All thanks to you and the life force tide," she said, looking around.
"It came... unexpectedly, so we stopped attacking and started absorbing. Where are Katherine and the rest?"
"Safe," Christopher answered, his gaze fixed on Advika.
Leyla followed his gaze. "What's wrong with her?"
"I think she lost control," Christopher said with a frown.
BOOOOOOM!!
Another energy wave burst out from Advika, pushing her to the mid-stage of the Ascendant rank.
"The enemies are almost here," Lazarus reported.
"Okay. Leyla, call back your beast and get on Lazarus."
Leyla nodded and leaped onto Lazarus's head, landing beside Christopher. "Come!"
She rubbed her earrings, and her beast turned into white light, flying towards her and entering the ring.
"New hairstyle," Christopher said suddenly.
"Huh?" Leyla touched her hair and was dumbfounded to find it was pure white. "What the fuck?!"
"Now, Lazarus."
Lazarus nodded and activated his newly acquired skill, instantly creating an invisible barrier around them and disappearing from sight.
_
WHOOSH!
Darkness and his dragon stopped, with Extinction and the other four Kings beside him, all staring at the floating Advika, whose eyes were still closed.
"Where is the light spirit?" Darkness asked, looking around.
"Should we stop her?" Death-flames asked.
"She is an enemy, so yeah... take her down," Darkness ordered.
The fourth and fifth kings moved towards Advika, channeling all their power.
"Shouldn't we help her?" Leyla whispered to Christopher.
"Help her? Only the ignorant would try that," Christopher said with a smirk. "Just watch."
Leyla stared at him for a few seconds before turning back to the two kings.
"DIE!"
The two unleashed their life force, amplified by the life force tide, towards Advika.
BOOOOOM!!!
The attack collided with Advika, causing a massive explosion.
"Hit!" The fifth king said with a smile.
"She thinks breaking through will save her," the fourth king scoffed.
"How... dare... you?!"
Darkness frowned, hearing the voice from the explosion. "Both of you, retreat!" he yelled.
WHOOSH!
Windy and Earth-fist froze, their faces filled with shock and disbelief.
Everyone watched as their heads rolled from their shoulders and fell to the ground, followed by their bodies.
BOOOM!
Their bodies smashed heavily into the ground, sending a shiver down everyone's spines.
"This?!" Darkness looked up as the flames around Advika entered her body and her blazing eyes snapped open.
".....?!"
Everyone was stunned.
'A mid-stage Ascendant rank losing control... When she was just an intermediate level, a Divine stage beast couldn't even scratch her. Now... A monster.' Christopher thought.
Advika flicked her wrist, and a long flaming sword appeared in her grasp. Her eyes blazed with fury.
"None of you will leave here alive!" she hissed, lunging towards Darkness.
"This?!"
Extinction, Death-flames, and Eagle-eye moved forward, summoning their weapons.
Advika simply sent a slash made of red and black flame, which smashed into the three of them, sending them flying back meters away.
"Take her down!" Darkness ordered.
GRAAAAA!
His long dragon let out a roar and unleashed a black torrent of flames towards Advika.
'So pathetic... using flames against the fire spirit. Isn't that stupid?' Tiamat thought, clearly enjoying the show.
BOOOM!
Advika entered the flames and, within seconds, appeared in front of the dragon. She unleashed a terrifying sword energy that smashed into the beast.
GRRRAAAAA!
The Dragon let out a painful roar, moving back from Advika.
"Impossible! This is a Celestial stage beast! You are just an Ascendant rank!" Darkness asked in shock.
"Today... no one will leave here alive!"
Advika raised her sword, channeling her energy into it. "Die!"
With a downward slash, she unleashed another attack towards Darkness.
"YOU!"
Darkness pointed a finger at the energy blade moving towards him.
"See you in the afterlife!"
A beam of light shot out from his finger, heading towards Advika's attack.
BOOOOOOM!!!!
"....?!!"
