Chapter 126: Chapter 82: Mists Growing from the Stone Wall (Part 3)
But that mouse didn’t run far before fog emerged from the stone wall, trapping it within the crevice. The mouse kept spinning in circles in place, unable to move any further.
After wandering in the fog for seven or eight minutes, suddenly the spirit of the white-clad girl emerged from the mouse, shouting amidst the mist: "Zhang Chen, save me!!!"
Then a rune flickered on Zhang Chen’s palm, transforming into the form of a girl who stood beside Zhang Chen, her body somewhat pale, appearing a bit ethereal.
"This damned Feng Shui Grand Array really is unreasonable." Fox Fairy Nannan cursed vehemently as she watched the mouse spinning endlessly in the crevice, fearing that the mouse had already fallen into an Illusion Realm and wouldn’t stop until it exhausted itself.
"How does it feel?" Zhang Chen asked.
"I clearly feel as if I’m moving forward, yet I’m just spinning in place. If it weren’t for the subtle connection between us, allowing us to sense the distance between us even in the Feng Shui Grand Array, I fear I would have fallen into the same trap as the mouse. Even with the protection of the physical body, it makes no difference compared to the soul state." Fox Fairy Nannan said with lingering fear: "This is my first encounter with a Feng Shui Grand Array, and its might greatly exceeded my expectations. Truly unbelievable! Though I am an existence of the Eighth Tier, I stand powerless before the Feng Shui Grand Array."
"How can human strength compare with the Power of Heaven and Earth? It’s only natural you can’t overcome the Feng Shui Grand Array." Zhang Chen said leisurely, then turned to the Fox Spirit: "Watch my skill!"
"Watch your skill? Do you have a way to break the array?" The Fox Spirit looked at Zhang Chen with eyes full of suspicion.
Looking at the expression on the Fox Spirit’s face, Zhang Chen suddenly had a vivid understanding of the term "suspicion."
Zhang Chen released his foot and activated the Beast Taming skill, and the mouse at his feet immediately dashed forward, heading towards the gap.
"Damn! You can control that mouse? Is this a Beast Taming Ability????" The Fox Spirit exclaimed with astonishment, eyes filled with terror as she stared at Zhang Chen: "How many abilities do you actually control? It’s rare for ordinary gods to wield two abilities, yet you possess at least three. You have the Light of the True God, Water Control Technique, plus the Beast Taming skill. Do you have any other abilities?"
The Fox Spirit’s eyes were filled with shock, staring at Zhang Chen as if he were a monster.
Zhang Chen ignored the Fox Spirit’s surprise, instead focusing his gaze on the mouse crawling in the crevice. However, the mouse controlled by Zhang Chen was even worse than the one controlled by the Fox Spirit. As soon as it entered the fog, it began to spin around in circles continually, seemingly determined not to stop until it exhausted itself.
"Is it not working?" Zhang Chen frowned, realizing he might genuinely be in trouble.
"This Feng Shui Grand Array is too difficult to deal with. Otherwise, the white-boned master wouldn’t have died without encountering the Twelfth Tier of mystery." Fox Fairy Nannan said dejectedly.
"It’s a pity my Golden Light can counteract the fog, but I can’t enter!" Zhang Chen remarked beside her.
"You’re not afraid of this fog?" Fox Fairy Nannan widened her eyes at his words, as if hearing something unbelievable, filled with horror: "What exactly is your Golden Light? How can it be so defying of nature?"
Zhang Chen didn’t know what his Golden Light was, so he didn’t answer Fox Fairy Nannan, instead murmuring to himself:
"Do I have to rely on explosives to blast open the passage?"
"Don’t blow up this mountain and bury us here." Fox Fairy Nannan said softly: "I suggest, since you have mastered Beast Taming Technique, why not capture a dozen pangolins, sooner or later they’ll dig the stone cave open."
"It’s a method indeed." Zhang Chen’s eyes lit up.
"You really dare to think! I’m afraid you’ll get trapped inside the mountain with no chance to go out and capture pangolins!" Fox Fairy Nannan retorted, feeling exasperated, then turned to wander around the stone chamber. Moments later, she exclaimed in surprise: "Come quickly and look! There’s a Celestial Book exhausted of Mysterious Power here!"
