Grand Line, First Half.

"This is bad, Captain!"

"Marines! That Navy warship has caught up again!"

"What! Quickly, accelerate, accelerate!"

Panic erupted on the pirate ship. Yesterday, after plundering a town, they were having a feast on board when they encountered a patrolling Navy warship.

Just as they were feeling triumphant and thinking of raising their bounties, before they could even charge forward, the opposite warship accelerated towards them.

Simultaneously, magma bombs rained down from the sky, scattering the people on the ship. The alcohol was enough to sober them up.

If it hadn't been for the sudden change in weather on the Grand Line, they would have been in prison yesterday. They had no idea that even after running all night, that warship was still relentlessly pursuing them.

On the other side, as the warship accelerated.

"Rear Admiral Sakaski, we are within attack range. Shall we commence bombardment!"

The Marine Lieutenant Commander in charge of the warship's cannons shouted to Sakaski.

Sakaski's cold voice responded:

"Open fire. Prevent the pirates from escaping. Accelerate and prepare for boarding."

"Yes!"

As they closed in, both sides opened fire.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

Half of the cannonballs fired by the warship landed on the pirate ship, nearly stopping it. The cannonballs fired by the pirate ship were from a state of panic.

Most of them missed their targets. Only a few hit the warship directly. But at that moment, a figure leaped from the ship, using Geppo to intercept the cannonballs.

Shing! Shing! Shing!

The sound of blades rang out as several cannonballs were bisected mid-air, falling into the sea without inflicting any damage on the warship.

"Well done, Doberman."

"Heh heh."

The young Doberman, hearing Sakaski's praise and feeling the envy of his comrades, chuckled.

Doberman was an elite class student two years junior to Sakaski. This year, due to the significant actions of the Rocks Pirates, Marine Headquarters was on high alert and preparing for battle, leading to instructors being dispatched.

Consequently, the newly admitted elite class students had no one to guide them.

Therefore, Kong made a temporary decision to assign the elite class students in batches to the ships of various Vice Admirals for temporary tutelage.

Sakaski had been promoted to Rear Admiral a year ago. When selecting students, he chose a few who were inclined towards a hawkish approach, and they set out to eliminate pirates.

Over the past year, the combined bounties of the pirates they had annihilated totaled over a billion.

Sakaski never left any survivors. Zephyr had noticed this and spoken with him several times, but neither could convince the other.

Boom!

As the warship rammed into the pirate ship, the already heavily damaged vessel was nearly broken in half, and the hull began to leak water.

"Make it quick."

With Sakaski's command, Marine soldiers and students alike leaped onto the pirate ship, engaging in combat.

"Damn it, let's fight them to the death!"

"Kill!!!"

As Captain Springy Lenko shouted, the pirates also ignited their ferocity, brandishing their swords and charging at the Marines.

"Spring Punch!"

Lenko's arm transformed into a spring. After coiling, he swung it out with immense force. Soldiers who were too slow to dodge were almost instantly killed.

It was only natural. While the physical constitutions of people in the pirate world were strong, they were no different from ordinary people when facing someone much stronger. Just like how Luffy was glorified as an adventurer in the anime, but if you think about it, at Gear Second speed, a single blow from Luffy would mean instant death for an ordinary Marine soldier.

"Spring Dash!"

After killing several people consecutively, Lenko seemed to regain some confidence and began to punch even more ferociously. The Dobermans fighting nearby, seeing the situation, couldn't contain their anger and drew their swords, rushing forward.

"Fighting Dog!"

With a swing of his blade, a faint phantom of a fighting dog appeared, slashing fiercely at Lenko. Lenko managed to turn and block, but the powerful force forced him back over ten steps.

Doberman continuously swung his sword, gaining the initiative and forcing Lenko into a passive defense. In his haste, Lenko was hit several times, but his movements were not restricted in any way. It seemed the damage wasn't enough, yet Lenko couldn't counter and could only defend.

This was the difference between a self-taught fighter and someone with formal training. After all, pirates had no specialized instructors. While they possessed some strength, their movements were somewhat clumsy, and they couldn't seize opportunities in battle.

However, there were also commendable aspects. Having fought their way through, despite being at a disadvantage, their physical fitness was excellent. Under Doberman's relentless swordplay, Lenko took many blows but showed no signs of defeat.

"Finger Pistol!"

Suddenly, Doberman changed his attack. With another swing of his blade, as Lenko raised his hand to block, Doberman's left index finger shot out, aiming for Lenko's eye.

"Squelch!"

"Ahhhh!!!!"

His left eye burst, causing Lenko to scream in agony. He staggered back, covering his eye with his left hand. Doberman seized the opportunity to attempt a beheading strike, burying the sword halfway into his neck. However, Lenko lowered his left hand and grabbed it.

With adrenaline surging and knowing his life was nearing its end, Lenko's savagery flared.

"Marine, I will kill you aaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!”

Holding the sword with his left hand, he forcefully pulled it outwards and yanked. At such close range, Doberman couldn't dodge. Just as Lenko's coiled right fist was about to strike him.

"Molten Rock Gun!"

A molten projectile shot from Sakaski's fingertip, flying through the gap between the two. Upon hitting Lenko, it exploded, engulfing Lenko in a large area of magma.

"Ugh!!!"

In an instant, all sound ceased. Nothing remained but a patch of lava on the ground emitting a pungent, acrid smoke.

At some point, Sakaski had appeared not far behind Doberman.

This was, after all, a training exercise, and casualties were unavoidable, but the proportion needed to be controlled. Following this, a series of Molten Rock Guns annihilated more than half the pirates. The remaining pirates, their spirits broken, surrendered.

"Treat the wounded."

At Sakaski's order, the Marines began to orderly treat the wounded. Others were dispatched to collect supplies from the pirate ship.

Then, all the captives were herded onto the pirate ship. The remaining Marines voluntarily returned to the warship.

"Hey... are they letting us go?"

"Impossible."

"But they've all gone back."

"This... let's wait and see. We'll set sail after the Marines leave."

A group of terrified pirates whispered amongst themselves. After all, being captured and then returned to their own ship was something they had never experienced or even heard of.

On the other side.

"Report, all captives have been rounded up."

"Also, Headquarters has sent a message, summoning all officers of Vice Admiral rank and above to Headquarters."

"Understood."

Listening to his副官's report, Sakaski replied calmly. He then gathered all the officers, thinking, is that matter about to happen?

He then looked indifferently at the pirate ship.

"Great Eruption!"

Boom!

"Set sail."

"Yes!!!!!"

In the year 1486 of the Sea Calendar, as Rocks' ambitions continued to swell, the God Valley Incident erupted....
