Chapter 1085 Sword Tomb Enlightenment

The next day, as dawn was breaking.

At the main hall of the Sword Sect, led by Jian Hongda, Li Xuan and ten others instantly entered the area outside the Sword Tomb.

"This place is where the swords of the fallen elders of my Sword Sect are kept. Although some are damaged or have lost their spiritual essence, each of these spiritual swords was once wielded to slay countless enemies. It serves as a memorial to our departed ancestors and allows our younger generation to experience it firsthand."

Jian Hongda paused and continued, "Upon entering, you may observe and gain insights from the battles based on your own capabilities. If you are recognized, it will be a great opportunity for you."

"Of course, among our Sword Sect ancestors were many who were decisive in combat, so much so that they could be described as bloodthirsty. Their swords are naturally incredibly ferocious and filled with killing intent. Therefore, while you train inside, it is best to avoid provoking these entities."

Jian Shisan and the others nodded in agreement. Li Xuan, however, curved his lips into a peculiar smile.

"Young master, if you were to absorb those spiritual swords, you would likely ascend to the realm of a Time Walker very soon," the Heavenly Dao Brush's voice echoed in Li Xuan's mind.

Li Xuan smiled. He hoped the spiritual swords would be sufficient in quality. However, he couldn't overdo it, as these were the treasured swords left behind by the ancestors of the Sword Sect.

Soon, at Jian Hongda's signal, Li Xuan and the ten others entered the Sword Tomb.

As a wave of dizziness washed over him, Li Xuan shook his head and looked around.

Before him lay a colossal mountain range, sprawling like a slumbering dragon, its full extent impossible to discern. Yet, the sword energy emanating from this range formed terrifying storms, and its central region seemed to tear apart the heavens and earth with surging sword marks.

Moreover, upon entering, Li Xuan found himself alone. Clearly, Jian Shisan and the others had been randomly teleported upon entering the Sword Tomb.

"This makes my movements convenient," Li Xuan nodded slightly, then his figure shifted, darting straight towards the front left.

A sharp sword intent pulsed from there, indicating the presence of a peerless sword.

*Yin.*

As Li Xuan approached, a spiritual sword floating in mid-air instantly shimmered. With a sword's cry, a terrifying sword might permeated the air.

"Mere sword intent is useless against me," Li Xuan waved his hand, then with a thought, a suction force shot towards the spiritual sword.

*Weng.*

The spiritual sword, held in Li Xuan's grasp, emitted a buzzing sound. Under Li Xuan's forceful grip, it began to wail.

In just a few breaths, the spiritual sword ceased its struggles. The next moment, Li Xuan felt the surroundings change.

He found himself in a desolate city, where a lone figure stood with a sword. The city walls and houses were dilapidated, and the countless corpses within had long since dried up. A desolate and sorrowful aura permeated the air, causing the spiritual sword in the man's hand to hum.

"A city nurtures a sword, its birth filled with sorrow. Even against a myriad of soldiers, one sword can subdue all directions."

Sensing the aura of heaven and earth, a flicker of enlightenment flashed in Li Xuan's eyes as he slowly closed them.

A quarter of an hour later, Li Xuan slowly opened his eyes. A sword intent now coursed through his entire body.

"A fine sword indeed," Li Xuan said, looking at the spiritual sword in his hand, then he released it.

*Yin.*

The spiritual sword let out a cry and instantly floated before Li Xuan, seemingly wanting to follow him.

Seeing this, Li Xuan smiled and said, "You are not suitable for me. It is better to wait here for someone destined."

Li Xuan spoke and strode away, soon spotting another target and quickly heading towards it.

Time slipped away silently, and in the blink of an eye, two months had passed.

The Immortal Realm Continent, Outer Void.

"What is your intention in coming here?" Shen Wuxiang asked, looking at the woman before him with a grave expression. As the ruler of one of the three great powers of the Divine Realm Continent, Shen Wuxiang's heart was currently in turmoil.

Even for someone as powerful as himself, he was unable to discern the woman's aura. If not for being in the Outer Void, Shen Wuxiang would have almost mistaken the woman for an ordinary person.

The woman glanced at Shen Wuxiang, a trace of boredom flashing across her face. "It is too early for you to attack the Immortal Realm Continent. You should return and wait for five more years."

"You expect me, from the Wuxiang Sect, to retreat based on your mere words? You are far too confident," Shen Wuxiang said, his brow furrowed.

A flicker of impatience instantly appeared in the woman's eyes, and she pointed her jade hand, sending a sword light surging towards Shen Wuxiang.

*Boom!*

Shen Wuxiang suddenly felt a terrifying sense of mortal danger. With a thought, he retreated frantically for tens of thousands of miles. Even so, a sword mark was left on Shen Wuxiang's chest.

"Alas, after following my master for so long, I still cannot quite master the Way of the Sword," the woman pouted, seeing this.

Shen Wuxiang's pupils contracted sharply. Such a terrifying woman, and she actually had a master?

Seeing the woman's gaze shift towards him, Shen Wuxiang swiftly moved and fled towards the distance. In just a breath, Shen Wuxiang's figure had vanished without a trace.

"If it weren't for my master forbidding me to intervene, how could I have let you escape?" the woman shook her head slightly, then her gaze turned towards the Immortal Realm Continent.

"Young master, young master, I can only buy you this much time."
