Chapter 77: Are They More Important Than Me?

Chapter 77: Chapter 77: Are They More Important Than Me?

Elias Lancaster’s eyes turned cold, and he pulled back his hand. "Get out."

Selene Quincy was startled by the look in his eyes.

Elias Lancaster walked out without looking back.

Leaving Selene Quincy stunned in place.

His sweetheart was still waiting for him in the office; who wanted to go eat at some noodle shop with her?

Selene Quincy stared blankly at Elias Lancaster walking away, and she thought of Serena Yeats in the office. Her gaze changed.

What’s so good about that woman that she could enchant Elias Lancaster like this!

Just because she gave birth to two kids?

She even had the audacity to hit her like that earlier!

Thinking of how she lost face earlier and now was rejected, Selene Quincy was burning with anger.

Her expression was terrifyingly dark.

After a while.

She adjusted her state, and with a less-than-pleasant expression, she walked out of the meeting room.

In the office, Serena Yeats just finished the last touch, and Elias Lancaster returned.

Elias Lancaster walked toward her, "Hungry?"

Serena Yeats put down her pen, touched her stomach, and nodded.

He pulled her up and walked toward the sofa. Just as they were about to sit down, someone beside them pulled them up.

Elias Lancaster looked at her in confusion, "What’s wrong?"

Serena Yeats felt uncomfortable when she saw the sofa.

"She just sat on it and even wore your coat."

The "she" she referred to, Elias Lancaster naturally knew who it was.

Disgust flashed in Elias Lancaster’s eyes as he led Serena Yeats back to his seat, sat down, and held her on his lap.

Serena Yeats looked at the sofa and suddenly felt much more at ease.

She shifted her position slightly.

"Smack!"

Elias Lancaster lightly patted her on the butt.

He whispered in her ear, "Don’t move."

Serena Yeats understood the meaning in his words and stopped moving, blushing as she buried her head in the man’s embrace.

Elias Lancaster held her in one arm while dealing with the files on the desk.

Twenty minutes later.

Elias Lancaster looked down.

The person in his embrace had fallen asleep.

Watching her sleeping face, he smiled indulgently and carried her to the lounge.

He laid her on the bed and tucked her in.

When he exited, he saw the suit jacket in the trash bin, which had been soaked and then tossed.

He remembered what she had just said.

After coming out, Elias Lancaster called Quentin Shaw inside line, his face dark.

In front of Serena Yeats, he would wear a pleasant expression; now that she wasn’t here, he didn’t need to hold back, especially after seeing the jacket in the trash, he even more so...

Quentin Shaw answered the call promptly and entered, respectfully greeting, "President Lancaster."

Elias Lancaster coldly asked, "Who brought her into the office?"

Quentin Shaw understood immediately, "It was Linda from the secretary’s office."

Elias Lancaster’s face darkened, "Fire her."

"Alright, I’ll handle it right away."

Linda was considered somewhat senior, but she trusted Selene Quincy’s childhood friendship talk, got deceived, and brought her in.

Didn’t expect to pay the price for it.

Elias Lancaster continued, "From now on, without my permission, no one can come in."

"Yes, I will ensure the message gets across!"

After a while, Elias Lancaster added, "Serena can come and go as she pleases."

Quentin Shaw’s mouth twitched, "Understood."

Elias Lancaster pointed to the sofa, "Get a new set."

Quentin Shaw replied, "President Lancaster, is there anything else?"

Elias Lancaster’s face was cold, "Leave."

Quentin Shaw quickly went out, arranging for someone to replace the sofa with a new set.

After finishing his tasks, Elias Lancaster returned to the lounge and watched the person on the bed sleeping soundly.

His gaze filled with warmth, as gentle as water.

Then he glanced at the time; it was dinnertime.

He was reluctant to wake her, so he held her and went home.

Once home, she was still asleep in his arms.

She must have been really tired today.

As soon as they entered, Nanny Livingston saw Elias Lancaster carrying Serena Yeats and thought something was wrong. She hurried forward.

Elias Lancaster gestured for her to remain silent.

Only then did she realize that their young madam was asleep, and she breathed a sigh of relief, turning to busy herself.

Elias Lancaster carried her directly to the bedroom and laid her on the bed.

Looking at the clothes he was wearing, he recalled the woman pulling at his clothes after the meeting. He took off his shirt and threw it in the trash.

Next, he removed his trousers, climbed into bed, and held his sweetheart as he slept.

Serena Yeats was sleeping comfortably, especially later on, as she reached for a comfy pillow and slept soundly.

Two hours later, Serena Yeats awoke from hunger, and upon opening her eyes, she saw the chest muscles.

Her hand was still wrapped around the man’s waist.

Suddenly noticing that the person she was holding wasn’t wearing clothes, she sat up with a jolt, moving away from the man.

She quickly grabbed a blanket to wrap around herself.

The man’s body was exposed right in front of her, especially when she noticed that...

It was standing tall.

Serena Yeats quickly closed her eyes, pulled the blanket over her, hiding within its folds.

The comfortable pillow turned out to be Elias Lancaster!

Elias Lancaster sat up, staring at the person hiding under the blanket, "You’ve seen so many times, and you’re still shy!"

Serena Yeats silently protested in her heart.

I’m not you, of course, I’m shy.

Elias Lancaster checked the time; it was already eight in the evening, past dinnertime. She must be hungry, so he stopped teasing her and got up to dress.

Serena Yeats sneakily peeked out from a gap in the blanket, watching the man outside dressing. She sighed in relief.

Only when the man was fully dressed did she emerge from the blanket.

After dinner, Elias Lancaster took Serena Yeats and the two babies for a walk around the villa.

But Serena Yeats’s actions left him feeling sullen.

She only focused on playing with the two babies, not sparing him even a glance.

Master Lancaster was not happy!

Upon return to the villa, the nanny bathed the two babies, and then Serena Yeats brought them to the bedroom, placing them on the big bed.

Elias Lancaster, "..."

He looked at the two little ones who had already fallen asleep.

With a somber expression, he pulled her underneath him, looking down at her from above, "Sweetheart, what are you doing?"

Serena Yeats asked in puzzlement, "What?"

Elias Lancaster glanced at the two little ones, his meaning evident.

Serena Yeats understood immediately, "I wanted to sleep with the babies. It’s been a long time since I slept with them."

Her eyes were full of laughter.

Elias Lancaster stared into her clear eyes, "Are they more important than me?"

Serena Yeats didn’t like his behavior.

"They’re our babies."

But the man, who was practically drowning in jealousy, didn’t care about that. He wished he could just throw those two little rascals out.

He asked again, "Are they more important than me?"

Serena Yeats patiently replied, "The two babies are our children; they’re important, and you’re important too. These cannot be compared."

Elias Lancaster’s questioning was putting her in a difficult position.

How could anyone distinguish or compare such things?

Elias Lancaster was dissatisfied with this answer, "Who’s more important?"

He just wanted to compare with them. Since they arrived, his sweetheart’s focus often wasn’t on him.

He wanted to know who was first in her heart.

Serena Yeats helplessly said, "You’re all equally important in my heart."

"You must tell me, who’s more important?"

Serena Yeats shifted her body slightly.

Only to hear the man’s husky voice. "Sweetheart, don’t move."

Serena Yeats swallowed hard, not daring to move, looking into the man’s deep eyes, "Elias, you’re so childish. You’re jealous of your two sons every day."

"I’m not."

Elias Lancaster denied it.

He would never admit to being jealous!

Stubbornness!

Serena Yeats. "Think carefully, aren’t you childish?"
