"F**K!"
Roken swore in shock, his face pale.
Although these Cambyons had just hatched and broken out of their pods, their bodies were already about one meter fifty-six in size.
Getting surrounded by numerous Cambyons at once would be a very deadly situation.
Whether it was their bad luck to arrive just as the Cambyons were hatching,
or their presence provoked the Cambyons, causing them to hatch early,
it was not good news for Sun Yan either way.
"We need to leave here quickly."
After chopping down a Cambyon that had just crawled out of a giant pod, Sun Yan immediately headed toward the end of the hall.
There was no way back the way they came. Whether it was a dragon's den or a tiger's lair up ahead, they had no choice but to push through.
If they stayed here any longer, they would be dead sooner or later.
Bam bam bam!
Roken quickly fired his gun, each bullet precisely hitting the Cambyons in the head.
Ordinary gunpowder bullets wouldn't do much damage to demons, but Roken was using exorcism bullets loaded with holy water.
Once hit, the power of the holy water would inflict severe damage on the Cambyon, enough to be lethal.
Buzz!
White flames erupted from the Cambyon's head, burning intensely using the Cambyon's body as fuel.
The flames even affected the nearby giant pods, incinerating the Cambyons that hadn't yet crawled out.
With Roken holding the rear, Sun Yan forged ahead with the golden halberd, the newly-born, yet weak Cambyons fell under his blade wherever he went.
But the sheer number of Cambyons hatching was overwhelming, akin to a city under siege by zombies.
All around Sun Yan and Roken, Cambyons climbed and roared, desperately trying to grab Sun Yan's ankles to drag him away.
Seeing the situation grow increasingly dire, Sun Yan furrowed his brow and immediately began the Nuo Opera Opening Dance.
"At a time like this, you're dancing?" Roken asked, utterly perplexed.
Sun Yan didn't reply, instead picking up the pace of the Nuo Opera.
Nuo was an ancient shamanistic ritual performed to expel plagues, invoke blessings, dispel disasters, and invite fortune.
The Nuo Opera performed during Nuo had the effect of invoking divine assistance, blessing, and exorcism.
Once Sun Yan's cemetery entry 'Nuo Opera Opening Dance' was activated, it called upon the Mountain-Opening Fierce General for aid.
Putting on the Nuo mask, Sun Yan shook his head, instantly his entire demeanor changed. The golden halberd in his hand also glowed with a faint golden light.
Those Cambyons approaching from all around sizzled and their flesh began to rot merely from being touched by the golden light.
In a matter of seconds, a Cambyon turned into a pile of white bones on the ground.
Overjoyed, Sun Yan raised the golden halberd, letting the magical artifact's golden light shine everywhere.
"Ah!!!"
Cambyons lied on the ground writhing in pain, retreating from the range of the golden light.
Those unable to retreat in time died under the golden light of the golden halberd.
"This." Seeing the power of the magical artifact in Sun Yan's hand, Roken's expression turned utterly shocked.
As an exorcist for many years, he had never witnessed such a feat, akin to the scenes only archbishops employing sacred artifacts in the church could conjure.
"Don't just stand there, let's go."
Seeing Roken in a daze, Sun Yan quickly reminded him, speeding toward the large door at the end of the hall.
After all, the golden halberd was just a magical artifact, not an immortal's treasure.
It could only hold back the Cambyons temporarily. If they tarried, they would still be in danger.
Bam!
They burst through the door, quickly closing it behind them.
Sun Yan and Roken leaned against the door, finally exhaling a long breath of relief.
But in the next second, the scene before their eyes struck them with immense shock.
"Holy crab..." Roken muttered in disbelief.
This place was filled with pink flesh lumps, which seemed to breathe, expanding and contracting rhythmically.
Each expansion spewed pink mist from the blood vessels, spreading all around.
A massive four-meter-tall sticky lump of flesh stood like a small mountain in the center.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be two enchanting demons entwined together.
Their bodies were immensely obese, like sacks filled with mud, their chests had merged completely from long-term clustering, indistinguishable from each other.
This thing's body surface was covered with inner heads, as a large number of Cambyons greedily fed on the inner juices.
The sight made goosebumps rise all over Sun Yan's body instantly, leaving him speechless.
The pink mist in the area drifted upwards, disappearing through a round hole in the ceiling.
"Is that Asmodeus?" Roken couldn't help whispering.
"Probably not."
Sun Yan shook his head: "According to the Key of Solomon, Asmodeus has three heads, a human, an ox, and a lamb,
rides an evil dragon from Hell, has avian-like feet and a serpentine tail, can spew fire from its mouth, wields a poison-coated spear, knowledgeable in astronomy and mathematics, capable of inciting drunkenness, gambling, or criminal tendencies,
this thing doesn't seem to match those descriptions and is more like a mutated enchanting demon. Asmodeus shouldn't be here."
Roken wiped the cold sweat off his face: "Shit, this thing seems to be beyond what we can handle, this is truly troublesome."
