Chapter 31: Blood On The Snow[4]
Fear, for a predator to feel fear was a thing far worse from death. As Rain walked towards the elders, sword dragging on the ground their expressions turned to one of horror.
The feeling of death nearing them with every step he took made them shiver and sweat profusely. They closed their eyes as they didn’t want to see each others head being cut off.
But Rain’s blade never came, they opened their eyes and saw Rain walking towards the exit, his back turned towards them.
He stopped and turned his head to look at them one last time, "I’m not in any position to execute you, your leader will see to it." He said and spat on the ground and walked away.
Loud footsteps alerted the elders as they looked to the side, Tharnak walked towards them, his expression full of hatred and disgust.
"Tharnak are you really going to do this?" One of the elders desperately questioned.
But Tharnak gave no reply, only a foot to his face which broke his jaw in two. He reached for the greatsword on his back and took it out of the sheath.
It was an old sword judging from the cloth wrapped around the handle, its pommel had a wolf-head carved on it.
The blade itself was a magnificent piece of crafting. The silver blade had no rough edges and no dents, it felt sharp enough to cut through even a Dragon’s scales.
Legend has it that it was forged from the fang of Fenrir, that’s why it is called Fenrir as well.
The elders started pleading for mercy but all their pleas fell on deaf ears for Tharnak. He closed his eyes as he approached the elder on the far right.
"I, Tharnak in the name of the Wolf God and as the Chief of the Wolf Tribe sentence you all to death. Your sins are too much to ask you for any final wishes." Tharnak declared and swung his sword.
The sword cut through the elders head like it was butter, the body of the elder went limp and fell while his head rolled off of the platform.
A young warrior picked it up and put it on a spike and dug it into the ground.. A befitting end for traitors.
Tharnak continued and one by one he executed them himself. Now it was Tarlocks turn, he kept quiet and saw each one of his comrades lose their head.
For the first time in his entire life he truly felt helpless. Helpless against a father whose daughter he tried to kill and a Chief against who he tried to do mutiny.
"P-please spare me, C-Chief...I-I am sorry...I w-was blinded..." Tarlock cried out as he backed away from the approaching Tharnak.
Each step of Tharnak made him scream more and more.
"PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!"
"NOOOOOOO!"
"I WILL SERVE YOU FAITHFULLY!"
"I’M SORRY!"
Tharnak stared down at the trembling Tarlock, he reached for Tarlock’s hair and pulled him forward. Tharnak swung his sword but stopped right before he cut Tarlock’s head.
He purposefully gave him a moment of hope and as Tarlock opened his eyes with a chuckle he pressed the greatsword on his neck. The cold blade sent shivers down his body when it touched him.
In the next instance his head fell down with a thump and rolled off the platform.
"May Fenrir rip apart your souls and you may suffer eternally" Tharnak whispered.
He then let go of the greatsword, droplets of rain fell on his face as he looked at the cloudy sky. The sun had started to set and the sky was painted in a grey hue due to the clouds.
He took a deep breath and howled loudly prompting the rest of the wolves to follow him.
Rain stopped and looked back towards the general direction of the Wolf Tribe after he heard their collective howl.
He chuckled and pulled out a cigarette, igniting it he put it in his mouth and chuckled. One of his main agendas was successful. The Wolves would now be a formidable opponent for the Tigers.

As soon as the sun set and darkness consumed the world, Becca and the Wolf Tribe members moved as shadows among the tall grass and trees.
They reached the backside of the Tigers main base and saw an extension going up the small mountain. They split up and climbed it from different angles.
Becca was the quickest because of her small stature. When she got to the top she saw a wolf woman in chains as they threw water at her.
From the opposite side she saw the Wolf Tribe member finally making it there. As soon as it saw the disgraceful treatment they were doing with his Lady he reached for his sword but stopped.
Becca signaled him to not attack, his hand shook violently as he stopped himself from attacking them.
The second Wolf Tribe member was nowhere to be found but then they heard a grunt sound as the two Tigers who were throwing water on Fenra suddenly dropped dead on the ground.
He quickly cut the chains and grabbed Fenra in his arms, but from the building behind him four Tigers stepped out.
They were quick to attack but Becca and the other wolf interfered and blocked their attacks.
"RUN" Becca shouted as she swung her sword and activated her skills.
She dodged the attacks of two Tigers simultaneously and cut them. They staggered but Becca didn’t give them enough time to recover and shot ice spikes from her hands which pierced their thick skin.
The second Wolf who was fighting along Becca had killed one as well, the last Tiger was bigger than all of them. He saw that he was alone and backed away.
He took in air and roared loudly, Becca’s eyes widened as she swung her sword vertically and an arc of fire jumped from it consuming the Tiger.
No words were said as they both ran towards the wolf who had Fenra with him. The roar just now was a intruder alert and if they get to him first then Fenra would surely die.
Becca jumped alongside the Wolf and ran full speed towards the young wolf running with all his might. From their right a horde of over a hundred Tiger ran towards him as well.
Becca had to make a decision fast, time was against them. As both her and the wolf ran straight towards the young wolf she suddenly changed her direction and ran towards the Tiger horde.
"Tell Xior that I will be waiting and be fast I can’t hold them back for too long." Becca shouted and jumped high in the air.
She raised both of her hands and ice spears formed behind her, with a downwards swing of her arms they descended upon the Tigers who kept running despite that.
When she landed, a Tiger was already in her face. She looked back at the Wolves who had already gotten far away as she was consumed by the raging Tigers.
