Chapter 1626: Chapter 1626: Just Say Don’t Know

“Hubby, you’re so clever!” Qin Youxuan climbed into his embrace like a loyal puppy, her arms immediately wrapping around his neck.

“Good girl.” Dan Hanjie raised his hand and lightly patted her on the head twice.

The night was deep and solemn, the kind that was perfect for murder and disposing of bodies.

A helicopter pierced through the drifting clouds in the unique night sky, landing on the lawn of a private villa.

“Xuan, I love you so much!” Rui Hui, upon seeing the person who came to pick her up, was so excited she nearly leapt at Qin Youxuan for a bear hug.

“Enough talk. This time, I’m basically committing a crime against the wind. If Diwu Zexuan gets word and rushes over, no one can save you. Quit dawdling and go already. Contact me by phone once you’re in Germany.”

Qin Youxuan, draped in a thin jacket, urged softly.

Her faint voice was almost drowned out by the sound of the helicopter.

“I’m leaving now,” Rui Hui waved her hand. Without hesitation, she turned and boarded the helicopter.

The helicopter carried her away, transforming into a tiny black dot in the sky.

It was unclear how much time had passed before Dan Hanjie came up behind her and wrapped his arm around her waist.

“She’s gone, what are you still looking at?”

“I’m not looking at Rui Hui. I’m wondering how long it’ll take before Diwu Zexuan comes after us. I need to come up with a good excuse, something that can keep me out of trouble. If he gets mad, what about your injured foot?” Qin Youxuan’s face brimmed with anxiety.

“No need for excuses. Just say you don’t know anything.”

“What?” Qin Youxuan turned her head in astonishment, fixing her gaze firmly on Dan Hanjie.

“The more you say, the more slip-ups you’ll make. Just say you don’t know. He won’t be able to trace anything back to you,” Dan Hanjie said with certainty.

As he finished speaking, he grabbed Qin Youxuan and headed back toward the villa.

“Wife, it’s late. We should sleep now.” The man’s captivating eyes gleamed with an unusual light.

“…”

Qin Youxuan shuddered all over and shrugged her shoulders nervously. “Separate rooms tonight. I’m going over to sleep with Tingye.”

With that, Qin Youxuan dashed off like an arrow, vanishing in a flash.

Germany. Berlin.

In the suburbs of the city, where the Havel River flows, a helicopter slowly landed.

The cabin door opened, and someone was already respectfully waiting outside.

As soon as she saw Rui Hui step out of the helicopter, the person immediately bent forward in greeting, “Miss, you’re back.”

“Where’s the car? Stop chattering and let me go home and sleep first,” Rui Hui said, yawning as she instructed her subordinate.

The thought of finally escaping Diwu Zexuan’s control made her feel indescribably happy.

It was a genuine thrill of breaking away from an oppressive grasp.

The entire way, she was scared to death that moving even a moment too slow would allow Diwu Zexuan to discover her and drag her back.

Only upon entering German airspace and seeing the familiar city landmarks did Rui Hui’s heart gradually begin to settle down.

“Yes, Miss. This way, please.”

After getting into the car, Rui Hui found herself too exhausted to fall asleep.

Looking at the familiar streets and buildings outside the window, her heart felt not only joyful but also a touch peculiar.

She turned to glance at the empty spot beside her, her enchanting eyes blinked once, and she bit her lip.

Why did Diwu Zexuan suddenly come to mind…

She must have been enslaved by him for so long she’d nearly forgotten what it felt like to be free and relaxed on her own.

Back at the Adolf family’s villa in Berlin, Rui Hui didn’t allow herself any more thoughts. She went straight to her room and threw herself onto the bed for a deep sleep.

When she woke, it was already three in the afternoon.

No one had even come to wake her.

Rui Hui squinted her eyes but finally realized she wasn’t in America anymore.
