Chapter 1581: Chapter 1581: Two Abnormal Persons

In her dreams, he appeared. It should have been something she could feel smug about.

But what on earth were the contents of those dreams?

It was either kicking him out or finding him annoying.

In her heart, it seemed he hadn’t left even the slightest positive impression.

“Rui Hui Adolf, do you really hate me so much for hurting you?” Diwu Zexuan’s fingers brushed across her brow, as though he were murmuring to himself, “But back then, I didn’t even know you.”

Meeting the right person at the wrong time, and failing to cherish them.

It was the trickery of fate.

Diwu Zexuan’s gaze flickered briefly. As he looked at the woman nestled in his arms, his eyes gradually grew calm.

He had never regretted anything he’d done.

Even now, he still wouldn’t.

Dan Hanjie’s external injuries healed quickly.

Living a life where everything was handed to him, food and drink included, his mood couldn’t have been better.

As long as Qin Youxuan was by his side, even if he had to live in the hospital forever, he was more than willing.

“What has Diwu Zexuan been busy with these past few days? It’s so rare to even see him once a day.” Qin Youxuan sat by the bed, peeling an orange for Dan Hanjie.

Once peeled, she handed it to his mouth.

Dan Hanjie opened his mouth and bit into the orange, taking the opportunity to nibble on her fingers as well.

The tingling in her fingertips made Qin Youxuan tremble slightly, as if electrified. She quickly withdrew her hand and glared at him.

“Why do you care what he’s doing? It’s better if he’s not here—one less third wheel.” Dan Hanjie raised an eyebrow.

Speaking of third wheels, he turned his head to glance at the additional baby crib beside them, gritting his teeth.

“Don’t you dare despise my son!”

As Qin Youxuan noticed his gaze, she immediately stepped in front of the crib, her tone displeased as she reminded him.

“Fine, I won’t despise your son. I’ll despise my son, is that acceptable?” Dan Hanjie grabbed her hand and planted a kiss on her fingertips.

“…”

Qin Youxuan felt warmth spread across her palm. She looked down at him, her expression speechless.

Their son—wasn’t he the same person?

How could he even think of separating it like that?

“I’m being serious. Haven’t you noticed something off with Diwu Zexuan and Rui Hui these past few days?”

Qin Youxuan redirected the conversation back to those two, her feline-like eyes glinting with curiosity.

When Dan Hanjie had just been hospitalized, Diwu Zexuan had practically shown up every day, and every time, he wasn’t alone.

Rui Hui was always by his side. The two of them bickered incessantly, like they owed each other something from a past life.

But in the past few days, Diwu Zexuan was always alone and elusive.

Apart from the moments he had to perform checkups for Dan Hanjie, he was completely absent. Not only that, Qin Youxuan couldn’t even remember the last time she’d seen Diwu Zexuan and Rui Hui together.

She hadn’t heard of them fighting, but their behaviors were undeniably strange.

“What are you trying to say?” Dan Hanjie held her small hand in his large one, pulling her closer to him.

“I feel like Diwu Zexuan is avoiding Rui Hui, but I don’t know why.” Qin Youxuan bit her lip, pondering seriously before speaking.

“…”

Dan Hanjie’s exotic, captivating eyes gleamed briefly as he looked toward the hospital room door at Rui Hui’s presence. He didn’t answer Qin Youxuan’s question.

“What’s the matter? Why aren’t you saying anything?” Qin Youxuan frowned in dissatisfaction when her question was ignored. She lifted her head to look at Dan Hanjie.

She noticed he was staring at the door. Following his gaze, she turned her head and saw Rui Hui standing by the doorway.

Startled, Qin Youxuan quickly extricated herself from Dan Hanjie’s embrace and stood up.

“When did you arrive? Why didn’t you come in?” Qin Youxuan smiled, stepping forward and reaching out to pull her hand.
