Chapter 191 The Fiercest Warrior of the Water Margin

"Ding! One million two hundred thousand Killing Points successfully deducted!"

"Ding! Twelve thousand Dao of Samsara Power successfully exchanged!"

"Ding! The system is now summoning!"

Yang Hao closed his eyes, gazing into his soul, where on the mysterious Samsara Xuanhuang Pagoda, dozens of golden carved figures had already revealed their true glory.

A melodious voice echoed throughout his mind: "Samsara Xuanhuang Pagoda, boundless creation, forming the essence of heaven and earth, responding to infinite providence!"

"Buzz~~"

Six thousand strands of Samsara Power, glowing with a faint golden light, merged into the pagoda's spire, filling the air with golden radiance!

The Samsara Xuanhuang Pagoda resonated with the Great Dao!

Historical scrolls unfurled, stars cascaded like sand, and banners fluttered vibrantly!

Buzz buzz!

The imposing characters "Song Dynasty" appeared before his eyes.

In this era that valued literature over martial arts, a large number of generals still emerged, fighting fiercely on the battlefield to protect our vast territories.

The sound of the Dao filled the air, like the roar of gods, and a figure gradually materialized on the Samsara Xuanhuang Pagoda, emitting golden light.

Swish!

Splash!

A multicolored river of stars appeared, the stars shifted and twinkled!

A human figure gradually solidified. Yang Hao looked up to see a man with piercing eyes, brows shaped like the character "eight," a body nine feet tall and radiant as silver, imposing and majestic, with the bearing of a celestial being. His loyalty was as unwavering as the sun, and his ambition soared like a dragon reaching for the clouds. Truly, a peerless hero of ancient times.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host for successfully summoning the Jade Qilin - Lu Junyi!"

Yang Hao gazed at the nine-foot-tall man, a hint of melancholy in his heart. Among the one hundred and eight heroes of the Water Margin, only a handful were truly capable fighters, unlike the characters in the Investiture of the Gods. The one hundred and eight heroes of the Water Margin were not so much generals who fought on the battlefield as they were renowned martial heroes of the jianghu.

The Jade Qilin, Lu Junyi, ranked first in combat power among the one hundred and eight heroes of the Water Margin. He was wise and renowned. In Beijing, he was originally a wealthy magnate. When facing enemies on the battlefield, he charged through myriad troops and swept away thousands of soldiers. He served the country with absolute loyalty and achieved great deeds. His generosity echoed throughout the universe, and his heroism was known everywhere.

He was also a tragic figure. Sighing, Yang Hao shook his head.

"Check information for Jade Qilin - Lu Junyi."

Yang Hao looked at the shining nine-foot-tall golden phantom in the river of Samsara, clad in a Qilin golden armor and holding a Qilin golden spear, and said softly.

"Name: Lu Junyi"

"Alias: Jade Qilin"

"Dynasty: Late Northern Song Dynasty"

"Cultivation: Spirit Awakening Level Two!"

"Cultivation Method: Qilin Thunder Scripture"

"Attached Troops: First-rate Troop - One hundred thousand Liangshan Elite Soldiers (Enhanced)!"

Biography: Lu Junyi is one of the classic characters in the famous Chinese classical novel "Water Margin," with the alias "Jade Qilin." He ranks second, corresponding to the Heavenly Spirit Star.

He was dignified, loyal, and affectionate, with reserved emotions. He possessed formidable martial arts skills, unparalleled in staff combat, earning him the reputation of "Three Wonders of Hebei." He was considered the most skilled martial artist under heaven. He originally resided in Daming Prefecture, Hebei (present-day Daming County, Handan City, Hebei Province), and had a wife, Ms. Jia, and a steward, Li Gu, along with his servant Yan Qing.

He was originally a wealthy merchant, a great landlord, and a gentleman in Daming Prefecture, Hebei. He was tricked by Wu Yong and others, who exploited the affair between Li Gu and Ms. Jia, into going to Liangshan. Later, he became the second leader of Liangshan, corresponding to the Heavenly Spirit Star. After Lu Junyi and Song Jiang accepted imperial amnesty, they campaigned against Liao, Tian Hu, Wang Qing, and Fang La, and were subsequently appointed as the Deputy Commander of Military Affairs and the Governor of Luzhou.

The corrupt officials Cai Jing and others summoned Lu Junyi back to the capital and placed mercury in the emperor's gifted meals. Lu Junyi was in so much pain that he couldn't ride a horse and had to travel by boat back to Luzhou. He fell into the water and drowned en route.

In "The Legend of Yue Fei," Lu Junyi is a disciple of Zhou Tong, making him a martial brother to Lin Chong and Yue Fei. This account is widely circulated.

Later literary works, such as storytelling and derivative literature, also included the claim that Shi Wengong was Lu Junyi's martial brother. In "Water Margin" and popular opinion, Lu Junyi has repeatedly been portrayed as the most formidable general of the Water Margin.

"Continue!"

Yang Hao looked at the Samsara Xuanhuang Pagoda and said leisurely. As soon as he spoke, sixty thousand strands of Samsara Power instantly shot into the Samsara Xuanhuang Pagoda.

"Buzz~~"

Swish!

Splash!

A multicolored river of stars appeared, spanning Yang Hao's soul. Brilliant light enveloped the Samsara Xuanhuang Pagoda, and for a moment, the stars shifted and twinkled!

Buzz~~

The imposing characters "Tang" fluttered in the auspicious clouds.

A carved figure on the Samsara Xuanhuang Pagoda slowly lit up, and a person emerged from the river of history!

"Congratulations to the host for successfully summoning the Medicine King - Sun Simiao!"

Sun Simiao!

Although Wan Mingshi, summoned earlier, bore the title of Medical Sage, he was not among the Ten Great Doctors, nor was his fame as great.

Sun Simiao valued medical ethics, treating everyone equally regardless of "status, wealth, age, appearance, enmity, friendship, or wisdom of the Hu and Yi." He declared, "Human life is of utmost importance, worth a thousand gold."

He believed that a physician's sole duty was to relieve the suffering of patients, without any other desires or ambitions. He treated all patients equally, "as if they were supreme," "regardless of the wisdom of the Hu and Yi, all are treated the same."

He practiced what he preached, devoted himself to healing, and sought no fame or profit. Throughout his life, he embodied his Daoist medical ethics and is considered the founder of medical ethics in China.

"Check information for Medicine King Sun Simiao."

"Name: Sun Simiao"

"Profession: Alchemist"

"Rank: Fifth-Rank Alchemist"

"Dynasty: Tang Dynasty"

"Cultivation: Spirit Awakening Level One"

"Cultivation Method: Medicine King Sacred Canon"

Biography: A native of Huayuan, Jingzhao. Legend has it that he was a descendant of Qu Yuan, a minister of Chu. He was a Tang Dynasty physician and Daoist, revered by later generations as the "Medicine King."

In the seventh year of the Western Wei period (539 AD), Sun Simiao was born into a poor peasant family. He was exceptionally intelligent from childhood. As he grew older, he became fond of Laozi and Zhuangzi's Daoist philosophy. In the first year of the Sui Dynasty (581 AD), seeing the turmoil of the state, Sun Simiao lived in seclusion in the Zhongnan Mountains of Shaanxi, gradually gaining a high reputation.

Sun Simiao placed great importance on folk medical experience, constantly accumulating knowledge and making visits, promptly recording them, and finally completing his work, "Qian Jin Yao Fang" (Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold).

After the establishment of the Tang Dynasty, Sun Simiao accepted an invitation from the court and collaborated with the government in medical activities. In the fourth year of the Tang Gaozong's Xianqing period (659 AD), he completed the world's first national pharmacopoeia, "Tang Xin Ben Cao" (New Tang Materia Medica).

In the first year of Tang Gaozong's Shangyuan period (674 AD), Sun Simiao, being old and ill, requested to return to his hometown. In the first year of Yongchun (682 AD), he passed away.

After Sun Simiao's emergence, the Samsara Xuanhuang Pagoda fell into a deep stillness, with only the faint resonance of the Great Dao gently lingering.

Yang Hao opened his eyes. The purchase of the blind box and the summoning of ancient heroes had happened in the blink of an eye. As he opened his eyes, officials were still continuously entering the Xuanzheng Hall, bowing respectfully. Liu Hong, Bi Xi, and a few others followed far behind, entering the Xuanzheng Hall. Up close, they could see Yang Hao's face clearly, but his Yuanli realm was entirely indiscernible.

ps: The Water Margin characters are truly difficult to manage and cannot be compared with generals from other dynasties.
