Chapter 877: Fabled Primal Chaos Realm
Meanwhile, as Maximus and the others trained, those in the Plane of Valhalla didn’t return home and began to pursue their own paths.
Instead of going back, they continued their adventure, visiting various planes and even taking an Omni to explore the depths of Chaos.
Some battle-hungry fighters, feeling unsatisfied, headed to the frontlines to confront dark beasts and challenge stronger opponents.
Liam, his children, and nieces returned to the Aeon Plane but skipped training, planning to expand the Shadowcrest family’s influence.
Starting with nearby planes, they targeted down powerhouses in the Shadow Void Land and even the Archons.
Lux, taking a few companions, returned to his old business, believing it better suited him to form his Archon of Law.
As for the rest, they continued playing, eating, experimenting, or pursuing other endeavours.
Each followed their own path, slowly harnessing myriad energy to strengthen their essence while forging a unique path of comprehension.
Aware of their choices, Maximus let them be, occasionally calling them back to share insights and boost their comprehension.
---
Soon, the time blazed by as thousands of years turned into hundreds of thousands, then into millions.
Everything proceeded smoothly as Maximus comprehended the Archon of Law, while he helped his family do the same.
The Aeon Plane wasn’t also left behind, absorbing myriad energy he provided at a breathtaking pace.
Maximus estimated that in a few tens of millions of years, the Aeon Plane could advance to the Tier 13 realm.
At that point, the only step left to perfect his foundation would be his Plane Source Physique.
Initially, with the massive myriad energy Maximus was amassing, if he focused solely on advancement, it wouldn’t take long to complete the foundation left from his prior advancement and reach the Tier 13 Archon Realm.
Yet, sensing he could push for more, Maximus patiently bided his time, planning to build an even stronger foundation.
One of his goals to build a stronger foundation was mastering all the Archons of Law to strengthen the Archon of Maxim, making it more inclusive and powerful.
Another was to raise the Aeon Plane and his Plane Source Physique to the Tier 13 realm.
Finally, Maximus also explored the deduction of the Amalgamation of Will, Dark Energy, Divine Energy, and other branches of Chaos.
Though uncertain, he believed this might lead to a path that could help him reach the mythical Tier 14 Primal Chaos Realm.
Since it was spoken of as a myth and given a name, Maximus was willing to bet it was real and achievable.
Even if it wasn’t, Maximus refused to settle for mediocrity, determined to surpass everyone else.
---
Meanwhile, as Maximus bided his time and made steady progress, the leader of the Black Sigil, Lazarus, achieved a breakthrough.
"I finally decoded it! I didn’t expect there is such an ingenious way to use the essence of the Chaos Eater."
After millions of years, Lazarus finally unravelled the inner workings of the Omnis.
He understood how they grew, multiplied, relayed information, and monitored the chaotic void.
Like tiny living beings, each Omni possessed autonomous intelligence, sharing improvements, information, and abilities with each individual Omni.
They also shared their owner’s origin, preventing them from rebelling or developing independent consciousness.
It was basically a foolproof device, obeying only its owner’s commands.
Unfortunately, despite knowing its mechanics, Lazarus couldn’t fathom how to create one.
Like the spontaneous creation of Chaos, it was a miracle that couldn’t be replicated.
After toiling for millions of years only to realize he could never recreate it, Lazarus could only sigh in frustration.
"Hmph! No matter. It’s time for the Black Sigil to act."
Though he couldn’t replicate the Omni, Lazarus developed efficient ways to block and even destroy it.
Without these tiny eyes relaying everything in the chaotic void, the powerhouses from the Central Chaos Region could begin their retribution.
"Gather everyone! It’s time to set this world ablaze!" Lazarus declared with a glint in his eyes.
No one knew why Lazarus sought to destroy Chaos.
Why was one of the former Overseers bent on annihilating everything, despite knowing the consequences?
However, one thing was certain: Lazarus wasn’t driven by admiration or worship of the Dark Beast but by his own hidden agenda.
Besides fooling those weaker beings, each Archon of the Black Sigil knew this yet still fought for his cause, thinking it was for the best.
"Soon, just a bit more death and destruction, and it will arrive. The key to the Primal Chaos Realm...I’ll seize it no matter what it takes..."
---
On the frontlines of the Dark Beast battlefield:
As millions of years passed, batch after batch of Overlords joined the regiment.
From roughly 200 trillion Overlords, their numbers had swelled to half a quadrillion Overlords roaming the chaotic void.
As a result, besides facing the surging dark beast tide heading to the Central Chaos Region, they also began encroaching on the enemy’s rear, hunting relentlessly to wipe out everything.
The Chaos Void Outpost, on the other hand, also grew from barely a hundred to thousands.
Crushing every dark beast in their sight, they were the key stabilizing force on the battlefield, keeping everything from falling apart.
With these new powerhouses and a destructive architectural weapon, the dark beasts they once feared had become an inexhaustible gold mine they could mine.
Though they hadn’t made a dent in the ever-flowing dark beast tide, the plane origin and myriad energy they earned thrilled everyone.
The myriad energy, in particular, was so abundant that the Overseers couldn’t absorb it all themselves.
Not wanting such a precious resource to sit idle, they began granting it to selected individuals to help them advance toward the Archon Realm.
From those with unique physiques, talents, and fighting skills, they picked the best of the best, aiming to forge a new group of Archons.
In the past, even with such vast amounts of myriad energy, this might not have been possible.
But after discovering the Tower of Chaos’s ability to aid in comprehending the Archon of Law, they were full of hope.
Beginning to turn the tide of battle, everyone in the Central Chaos Region was beaming with smiles.
Unbeknownst to them, however, the black hands behind the scenes had started to make their move...
