Wang Yu

Chapter 1: Trying to Conceal is Just Revealing

Several days later, Hairong Island.

A streak of azure light rapidly streaked across the sky from afar, landing above Liangyu Island. The light dissipated, revealing the figure of a burly man.

The man was none other than Han Li, but he had transformed his appearance into that of an ordinary, dark-skinned middle-aged man.

He hovered motionlessly in mid-air, his eyes flashing with blue light as he scanned the area below.

At that moment, a buzzing sound echoed from a certain spot in the void below the island, and a layer of egg-shaped blue light curtain emerged.

Then, with a tearing sound, a gap large enough for one person to pass through appeared in the light curtain.

"Is that Yu? Come in." Before Han Li could make any move, a voice rang out.

Han Li raised an eyebrow and descended, flashing into the blue light curtain. The gap disappeared instantly, followed by the blue light curtain vanishing from sight.

The space beneath the light curtain was not large, a hemispherical area of just over a hundred zhang, with a rather high temperature, feeling somewhat scorching.

Han Li was slightly taken aback as soon as he entered.

A group of unfamiliar cultivators were gathered here, none of whom he recognized. However, a black-robed, black-bearded old man who had been conversing with someone was now looking at him with a smile. Beside the old man stood a beautiful woman in a yellow dress.

After a moment's thought, Han Li recognized that these two were none other than Hu Yan Daoren and Yun Ni. Like him, they had also transformed their appearances.

"I was delayed a bit on the road, and kept Senior Martial Uncle waiting, I'm truly sorry," Han Li said with a cupped fist, his gaze shifting behind the two.

Behind Hu Yan Daoren and Yun Ni stood nine other cultivators dressed as Daoists.

All of them wore fiery red robes, embroidered with a lifelike fire crow pattern, indicating they were from the same sect.

The nine individuals all had a strange, flushed complexion, and their bodies emitted waves of intense fire-attributed spiritual power, clearly indicating that they cultivated fire-attributed arts.

The three leading them were an elderly man with red hair and beard, a tall and sturdy man with a bare upper body, and a middle-aged woman around forty years old.

The aura emanating from the three was vast and profound, not as strong as Hu Yan Daoren and Yun Ni, but clearly all Jin Immortals. However, the elder's cultivation was somewhat deeper than the other two.

"Come, Yu, let me introduce you. These are the Daoists from the Zhenyan Sect of the Guyun Continent. They will be traveling with us to the Underworld Frost Immortal Mansion to seek opportunities and fortune. This is Sect Leader Xu Yangzi, and these two are Elder Zhenyun and Elder Lulan. Three Daoists, Yu is a junior of ours, alert and capable, and should be able to play a role in the Immortal Mansion," Hu Yan Daoren, disguised as a black-bearded old man, said with a chuckle.

"So it's the three seniors from the Zhenyan Sect, and fellow Daoists. I am Gu Yu, greetings," Han Li said, his eyes flashing with a smile as he cupped his fist.

He knew the name of the Zhenyan Sect.

This sect was located in a remote corner of the Guyun Continent, one of the major forces second only to the Zhulong Dao. They were particularly skilled in fire-attributed divine abilities, but for some reason, its members rarely ventured out, seeming to be quite low-key, resulting in the sect's relative obscurity.

Before the Zhulong Dao underwent its great changes, the major forces of the Guyun Continent mostly relied on the Zhulong Dao, both openly and secretly, and often had disputes among themselves. However, as long as they did not involve certain bottom lines, the Zhulong Dao would naturally not interfere, and even welcomed it.

Han Li did not know the specifics of the Zhulong Dao's current situation, but with his experience and knowledge, he could more or less guess the current state of the Guyun Continent. It would not be far off to call it "When the tree falls, the monkeys scatter."

Hu Yan Daoren's sudden invitation of this sect to travel together had a hint of trying to cover something up.

"Truly, a formidable junior. Fellow Daoist Gu, the Immortal Mansion's entrance is still unknown, so talking about matters after entering the Immortal Mansion seems a bit too hasty," Xu Yangzi merely nodded slightly at Han Li before shifting his gaze, saying.

The other tall and sturdy man, Zhenyun, and the middle-aged woman, Lulan, only glanced indifferently at Han Li, clearly not paying much attention to a non-Jin Immortal.

Han Li simply smiled faintly at this, not caring, and walked behind Hu Yan and the others to stand.

"Actually, the news from the Boundless Alliance, I believe the three fellow Daoists are aware of it as well. Although that may not really be the entrance to the Immortal Mansion, it is at least some clue," Hu Yan Daoren said with a slight smile.

"The two fellow Daoists generously shared this opportunity to enter the Immortal Mansion with our Zhenyan Sect, showing great trust in our sect, for which we are immensely grateful. However, we have searched for so long, turning almost the entire Blackwind Sea upside down, yet have gained nothing. This news arrived suspiciously, and is probably mostly groundless," Xu Yangzi said, frowning.

"Fellow Daoist Xu Yangzi, you are mistaken. Since we have searched for so long without any results, now that this news has appeared, whether it is true or false, we should go to Red Moon Island to investigate," Yun Ni suddenly said.

"Forgive Yan for speaking frankly, but although this news is raging in the Boundless Alliance, after all, no one knows whether it is true or false. Perhaps someone deliberately leaked it, setting a trap on Red Moon Island, attempting to harm those who go. If we go, wouldn't we be throwing ourselves into a trap?" Zhenyun shook his head vigorously.

"Yes, it might even be a trap set by the Northern Cold Immortal Palace. This matter should be carefully considered," the middle-aged woman, Lulan, also said with a frown.

"The three, the Underworld Frost Immortal Mansion only opens once every ten thousand years, especially since someone discovered that there might be other hidden realms within the last time, and there might actually be the 'Taiyi Pill,' which is rumored to be extremely helpful for breaking through to the Taiyi realm. Otherwise, why would all the forces, including the Northern Cold Immortal Palace, be mobilizing so grandly this time? This is a rare opportunity, are the three of you truly willing to retreat at this moment?" Hu Yan Daoren frowned, saying.

"This... that's not quite it... but this matter should be carefully considered, and everything should be done with caution," Xu Yangzi said, his expression slightly changing.

The other two did not say anything more for a moment, but the doubt in their eyes remained.

Han Li frowned slightly at the sight.

These Jin Immortal cultivators from the Zhenyan Sect were probably attracted by the treasures in the Immortal Mansion, but they were somewhat hesitant in the face of the current situation, lacking any aggressiveness. With a sect leader and elders of such character, it was no wonder this sect had previously acted so understated.

"I know, the three are worried about the Northern Cold Immortal Palace's power and ambition. With just us, even if we added two or three times the number, we still wouldn't be able to handle them. However, since the changes in the Zhulong Dao, although the Immortal Palace's strength has greatly increased on the surface, it has also faced considerable resistance in secret. As far as I know, forces including the Cangliu Palace and the Fuling Sect are quite resentful of the Immortal Palace, not wanting to end up like the Zhulong Dao. Especially since the Northern Cold Immortal Palace secretly sealed the entrance to the Immortal Mansion this time, it can be said to have angered the masses. I expect that people from other forces will definitely go to Red Moon Island," Hu Yan Daoren sighed softly, slowly saying.

"If this news is true, and the entrance to the Immortal Mansion is under Red Moon Island, then when everyone acts together, even though the Immortal Palace is powerful, it cannot possibly contend with everyone, right? Even if this is a trap, it cannot possibly trap all of us, what do the three of you have to fear?" Yun Ni immediately added.

"What the two of you say makes some sense..." Xu Yangzi stroked his beard, seemingly moved.

Zhenyun and Lulan also exchanged glances, their eyes flickering.

After all, the rumored Taiyi Pill in the Immortal Mansion aside, just the various rare and priceless treasures within were enough to make them envious.

"There is not much time left. The three fellow Daoists must make a decision as soon as possible. You must know that there are countless treasures inside. Are you really willing to not get even one, and let these treasures fall into the hands of others?" Hu Yan Daoren asked again.

A fiery light flashed in Xu Yangzi's eyes.

"Of course, we cannot go there carelessly. We must act cautiously and think of some countermeasures," Hu Yan Daoren nodded slightly, saying.

"Senior Martial Uncle is resourceful and wise, surely you have already thought of a solution?" Han Li looked at the people from the Zhenyan Sect and smiled.

Hu Yan Daoren smiled faintly, neither affirming nor denying, and waved his hand to lift the surrounding restrictions.

He then flicked his sleeve, and a ball of blue light appeared out of thin air, transforming into a blue flying chariot. Its shape was quite peculiar, with a cross-shaped windmill at the front and back, flashing with strange light and filled with spiritual energy, attracting the attention of everyone in the Zhenyan Sect, including Xu Yangzi.

"This Water-Controlling Chariot is a rare treasure that I accidentally obtained in the Underworld Frost Immortal Mansion many years ago. Its concealment effect is excellent. Traveling in this chariot should be much safer," Hu Yan Daoren said.

Han Li examined the chariot and his heart stirred.

This chariot was clearly refined with some special spiritual materials, including rare water-attributed materials, and it was engraved with countless complex and profound spiritual patterns, emitting extremely faint fluctuations of the Water Law.

Because of the Heavy Water True Wheel, he now had some understanding of the Water Law, and vaguely felt that the laws emitted from various parts of the chariot were probably related to concealment.

Han Li moved and was the first to fly onto the chariot.

Xu Yangzi hesitated for a moment before making a decision, flying into the chariot.

Following his move, the two elders, Zhenyun and Lulan, and the six True Immortal cultivators also flew into the chariot.

Hu Yan Daoren and Yun Ni smiled and flew up as well.

After stabilizing his figure, the former waved his hand and cast a spell. The chariot emitted a peculiar blue light, like mist, enveloping the entire chariot.

The blue chariot immediately became faintly visible, without emitting any aura, and even the faint fluctuations of the law disappeared completely.
