Chapter 40: Battle at the Villa:

Jiang Huaiyue was stunned. She realized she’d been far too careless—she hadn’t even considered setting up surveillance.

Although her conversation with Shen Wuxiao didn’t sound like anything romantic, those people had clearly misunderstood something. However, there was one thing they had gotten wrong—she was no longer a virgin! She had already given herself to the man sleeping soundly on the couch.

Even though it happened without much process or ceremony, that line had been crossed.

Jiang Huaiyue was extremely stubborn by nature. She was never one to back down.

“So this is what you planned? Then I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed,” she said coldly. “I already gave myself to him. I’m his woman now.”

“And since I’m his woman, I’ll remain his woman even in death!”

“Today, either you die here or you take my corpse with you. There is no third option!”

She gripped the hilt of her sword tightly, ready to fight to the death. She would never allow herself to be controlled by someone else’s supernatural powers.

“You really are young and fearless,” Aunt Wu sneered. “Fine, I’ll entertain you!”

She stepped forward. A short dagger suddenly appeared in her hand.

The two women locked eyes. The atmosphere grew tense—battle was inevitable.

Jiang Huaiyue was no stranger to danger. She had experienced life-and-death situations many times and possessed rich combat experience. She wasn’t afraid.

Their strength wasn’t far apart—both were around the fifth level. Even though Aunt Wu had backup, Jiang Huaiyue was confident she could take one of them down if she went all out.

She moved her feet, searching for an opening. In the next instant, she raised her hand and her soft sword danced like a fluttering ribbon, light and deadly.

With a motion as swift as a swallow, she soared forward and landed in front of Aunt Wu.

Sensing the intensity of Jiang Huaiyue’s killing intent, Aunt Wu didn’t dare to be careless. She immediately raised her dagger to block.

Clang!

The soft sword met the dagger in a flash of sparks. Despite its flexibility, the tip of the sword was razor-sharp, lunging straight for Aunt Wu’s face like a snake.

Though Aunt Wu wasn’t as talented as Jiang Huaiyue, she was still a seasoned fighter of the older generation. Her reaction was quick. She swung her short dagger upward, deflecting the thrust. Then she slashed back with precision.

Jiang Huaiyue’s eyes sparkled. Her right hand twisted to the side, her palm forming into a fist that shot forward like lightning.

Aunt Wu countered with a palm strike of her own. The two forces clashed, and she took three steps back.

Jiang Huaiyue didn’t miss a beat. Without hesitation, she launched herself forward again, swift and light.

True energy surged around her, and she attacked with both sword and fist simultaneously. The soft sword in her right hand flowed like water, while her left fist was as fast as a shadow.

The air hissed with energy as gusts of wind swirled around her, completely throwing Aunt Wu off guard.

Aunt Wu was struggling. After all, she couldn’t truly fight to kill the young lady—there was hesitation in her heart.

Still, she didn’t dare to relax and swung her dagger defensively to try and slow Jiang Huaiyue down.

But just as she steadied herself, Jiang Huaiyue struck again. She slashed with her sword, forcing Aunt Wu to lean back.

At that moment, Jiang Huaiyue spun mid-air and unleashed a powerful whip kick.

Whack!

The kick landed squarely on Aunt Wu’s side, sending her staggering. She nearly flew across the room.

Before she could recover, Jiang Huaiyue closed in. As soon as Aunt Wu stood back up, the tip of the soft sword was already aiming for her throat.

Now Aunt Wu was truly frightened.

She hurriedly raised her short dagger and pushed out a palm filled with true energy to block the attack.

Jiang Huaiyue responded with a palm strike of her own.

BOOM!!!

Their powers collided fiercely, sending shockwaves across the room. Winds roared outward, scattering everything in their path.

Both women were thrown back. Jiang Huaiyue caught herself just before hitting a table, placing one hand on it to absorb the force. Then she spun and jumped atop it.

Three streaks of white light flashed through the air.

Three flying knives shot forward, trailing powerful energy behind them like blades slicing the wind.

Aunt Wu was stunned and quickly rolled to the side, narrowly dodging them.

But Jiang Huaiyue had already seized victory.

She kicked the edge of the table to propel herself forward. Her soft sword shimmered in the light, aiming straight for Aunt Wu’s body.

Just then, Uncle Wu finally made his move—but not in battle. Instead, he pressed a knife directly against Shen Wuxiao’s heart.

“If you want your man to live, then stop!” he threatened.

Jiang Huaiyue glanced over, furious.

Shameless!

But she had no choice. She twisted her body midair to cancel the attack and retracted her sword.

Aunt Wu was pale with fear. If it hadn’t been for her husband, she would’ve been skewered right then.

Helping the young master chase women was really life-threatening!

“If you want a fair fight, then let him go! Settling this with threats—what kind of warriors are you?” Jiang Huaiyue shouted, her voice full of anger and frustration.

She couldn’t let anything happen to Shen Wuxiao. No matter what, he was her man. From the moment she gave herself to him, that fact would never change.

“You two really are in love,” Uncle Wu chuckled mockingly.

He kept up the act and added, “Actually, I didn’t need to threaten you. If I had used my supernatural ability earlier, you would’ve lost anyway, right?”

Jiang Huaiyue didn’t respond. She knew very well—if he had used his power, the outcome would’ve been very different.

Shen Wuxiao, pretending to be asleep, was equally speechless. You know nothing.

“What exactly do you want?” Jiang Huaiyue growled through gritted teeth.

Uncle Wu smiled coldly. “I came to teach you a lesson. To show you the price of messing with us—man and woman demons.”

“But now, it seems pointless. Since you’re his woman, our young master isn’t interested in you anymore.”

“And seeing how devoted you are reminds me of my wife and me in our youth. So, I’ll let you go—for now.”

“But we don’t like loose ends. So, we’ll need some proof to keep you quiet. You understand what I mean, don’t you?”

Jiang Huaiyue was stunned. She understood clearly now.

They wanted her to go to Shen Wuxiao again—so that woman could take that kind of photo…

What kind of twisted hobby was this?

Still, with Shen Wuxiao’s life hanging in the balance, she couldn’t refuse. Not when she had already been photographed by Aunt Wu once. What more could she do now?

“…Fine,” Jiang Huaiyue said coldly.

She turned to Aunt Wu and said, “Come in.”

Aunt Wu was nearly gleeful. The proud young lady had actually caved in!

Jiang Huaiyue put away her sword, walked to the sofa, and lifted Shen Wuxiao into her arms. Then she carried him into the bedroom.

Aunt Wu followed behind with a smirk.

Once inside, Jiang Huaiyue placed Shen Wuxiao on the bed. She sighed and looked at his sleeping face.

Then, with a slightly trembling hand, she began to undo his bathrobe.

Soon, his muscular, sculpted body was fully revealed. The clear lines of his abs were flawless—and certain parts made her blush furiously.

Her cheeks burned, but she didn’t stop.

She shut her eyes tightly and slowly undid her own robe.

Her fair, flawless skin glowed in the light, enticing and beautiful.

She leaned forward, gently wrapping herself around Shen Wuxiao.

The moment their bodies touched, Jiang Huaiyue felt her head spin.

Aunt Wu snickered meanly, “You’re fast—go on, kiss him!”

Jiang Huaiyue held that insult silently in her heart.

She gazed at Shen Wuxiao’s handsome face, moved closer, and gently pressed her lips to his.

The kiss sent a jolt through her body, making her shiver involuntarily.

Aunt Wu casually took out her phone, changed the angle a few times, then nodded in satisfaction.

“Perfect. With this kind of evidence, you won’t dare try anything funny again.”

“You’re strong, girl. I can’t beat you. But unfortunately, we don’t play fair.”

“Enjoy your night with your man!”

Her words dripped with sarcasm.

Then, without another word, Aunt Wu turned and left the room, closing the door behind her.

Outside, she and Uncle Wu exchanged smug smiles—and quickly disappeared from the villa.
