Chapter 35: Chapter 35: Artificial Intelligence 2

"You go out first."

Su Ziyu instructed Pasha to take the copied data and leave first, while the woman in the protective suit held a silver-white mechanical arm made of metal. It seemed quite sophisticated, though also rather heavy.

There are quite a few research outcomes here, but whether they can be used is hard to tell.

Bionic humans can greatly enhance their physical qualities, with the mechanical transformation branch capable of creating extremely powerful Super Soldiers that can handle most of the radiation-mutated creatures in this Wasteland Era. However, Su Ziyu himself isn’t particularly interested in this, as he doesn’t want to replace his body with bionic organs for power. His current body has already been strengthened quite a bit, and Su Ziyu believes that as long as he actively takes out more of the radiation Giants like bosses, he will ultimately achieve the combat strength of bionic humans.

While Su Ziyu isn’t interested, Pasha does have some thoughts on it, and the woman in the protective suit is clearly tempted.

If one can survive,

Transforming into a bionic human may not be a bad choice.

After the two women in front of him walked out, Su Ziyu placed his hand on the vast supercomputer.

"Data loss!..."

"Data loss!..."

"Data loss!..."

Some changes occurred in the immense base-26 data stream in Su Ziyu’s Mental World, and without causing any unusual reactions, he noticed that the supercomputer kept showing data loss prompts. The entire process didn’t last long, probably just about one or two minutes, before only a pile of gibberish was left on the supercomputer.

Shortly after, some information appeared in his mind.

"Fusion complete!"

"Task accomplished!"

"Space-Time Monitor System’s computing capability enhanced!..."

"Database expanded."

"Related technology of [Bionic Human Modification] has been added to the database."

"Related technology of [Mechanical Human Modification] has been added to the database."

"Related data of [Bio-Modification-Radiation Mutation] has been added to the database."

"Related data of [Flesh Corruption-Pollution] has been added to the database."

"Analyzing calculations!"

"Current plane is Chaos Wasteland, with ecological balance already collapsed, and intelligent creatures [humans] in the current plane are already in extinction status. Detected [Flesh Corruption] deep pollution, locking plane coordinates, joining purification sequence!..."

"Connecting to Space-Time terminal!... Connection failed!..."

"Calculation failed!..."

"Unable to connect!..."

"Launching Space-Time Monitor System’s autonomous response mode!..."

"Issuing an autonomous response task!"

"Task objective: Eliminate the Flesh Corruption pollution source in the current plane."

"Task reward: Root Source Law—[Flesh]."

The sudden influx of data caught Su Ziyu off guard.

The data stream attached to the Hourglass of Time hadn’t reacted in a particularly special way for quite a while, but after just merging the artificial intelligence, it suddenly spewed out a string of information, making Su Ziyu slightly bewildered, as much of the information seemed hard to grasp.

But there’s no doubt this system is indeed very formidable!

Su Ziyu now feels an inexplicable sense of awe, only able to vaguely guess that this is an auxiliary tool crafted by a high-dimensional civilization.

Its function is uncertain.

Su Ziyu can now only guess, as the task issued by the system seems indifferent to the radiation pollution of this Wasteland Era. It wants to purify a thing called [Flesh Corruption], reminding him of the ’Indescribable horror’ mentioned in the previous world, making him feel that the system’s existence might be to address something very terrifying.

A monstrous horror capable of destroying civilizations and extinct species!

Of course.

All of this is just Su Ziyu’s conjecture, as many pieces of the information in the data stream are still missing.

"Su?" Pasha’s voice came from outside the door.

Su Ziyu temporarily paused his chaotic thoughts and quickly walked out of the laboratory.

The supercomputer seemed to have been scrapped, with its artificial intelligence merged into the Space-Time Monitor System. All valuable data here has fused into the database within the data stream, not just from the lower laboratory’s [Bionic Human Modification] and [Mechanical Human Modification], but also the related data on radiation mutation and flesh pollution from the upper laboratory.

It’s undeniable that the ability is very powerful.

The two people outside were waiting for Su Ziyu to come out, and upon leaving, he casually picked up a sophisticated-looking bionic hand. Though he doesn’t need it, he took it to divert attention.

"Are we going out now?" Another woman, holding the heavy mechanical arm, asked.

"Yes." Su Ziyu nodded and raised his gun,"Let’s be careful."

All the sealed gates opened wide.

As they went out, they saw many gruesome bodies scattered across the ground with countless bullet casings. The bodies of the combat personnel that followed in were beyond recognition, with the radiation Giant killing them in extremely brutal ways, either tearing them apart or smashing them into a pulp. The walls held splatters of terrifying, disgusting, blurred flesh, barely indicating the form of a person.

"Catch." Su Ziyu pulled out a few grenades from the bloody corpses and tossed two to Pasha beside him.

Soon, the exit was in sight.

They climbed the passage ropes slowly, taking quite a while to return to the surface.

"Damn!"

Just as they reached the surface, Su Ziyu’s face changed drastically, and raising his gun, shouted to the people behind him,"Hurry up! Something’s wrong up here! Trouble is brewing here!"

The ground was covered in patches of blood.

Yet, there were no bodies in sight, with a thick layer of bullet casings scattered by the window at the entrance, marked by heavy explosion impacts and violent clashes. Bloody, chaotic footprints traced along the side, while the Corpse Ghost near the artificial lake had vanished, leaving an expanse of thick, dark red liquid visible from afar.

Pasha quickly climbed up, though the other woman was slightly behind.

"What’s happened? Where are the others?" Pasha looked around with a heavy expression before bending over to lift a rocket launcher.

Boom!

A muffled explosion sounded from about a few hundred meters to the left.

Then came continuous gunfire.

"Move." Su Ziyu picked up a gun and walked outside, while the area around the artificial lake was already dark red. It was unclear what had transpired during the time they had gone down.

Boom!

The ground shook with another violent explosion.

At that moment, the gunfire from that side grew sparse and the distance continued to widen.
