Chapter 93 - 10: Witch Hunter 2

Chapter 93: Chapter 10: Witch Hunter 2

The room was dead silent.

Su Ziyu could tell what Van Helsing was intending to do. He gazed at the other’s crimson eyes and suddenly raised his brow, asking, "Need a hand?"

"Of course."

"I charge a fee."

Van Helsing’s expression showed a hint of surprise. He lowered his voice and said, "Offending those Eternal Flame madmen, you’ll have plenty of trouble in the future."

Su Ziyu couldn’t help but chuckle at the words and replied, "I’m more concerned if you still have money on you."

Clang.

Van Helsing directly tossed his purse over.

Although Demon Hunters possess inhuman physical attributes, those Witch Hunters are no simple folk either. Many of them are seasoned mercenary assassins and warriors, with some having also consumed concocted magic potions, making them far more dangerous than ordinary warriors. When certain Demon Hunter organizations have fallen, their legacies have drifted into the hands of secular powers, and many kingdom religions secretly nurture death warriors using similar methods.

Jingle jangle.

Su Ziyu counted six Golden Galleons from the purse, then threw it back, saying, "Madmen’s lives are cheap. One head is only worth one Golden Galleon."

Van Helsing took a deep look at Su Ziyu in front of him, reached out to take the purse without speaking again, and simply hammered his chest with his hand.

Melissa had been quietly watching all this from the sidelines.

Once Van Helsing left, she came beside Su Ziyu and softly said, "Thank you."

The girl had a trace of hatred and murderous intent in her eyes.

Su Ziyu rose, glanced at her, and calmly said, "This time you stay obediently in the hotel. Otherwise, I won’t teach you the next stage of the White Crow Swordsmanship."

Upon hearing this, Melissa immediately pouted and glared at him angrily.

Su Ziyu didn’t bother to argue with her and just turned around, leaving the room.

Those Witch Hunters are really not simple!

Their equipment is well-fitted, with crossbows, petroleum, each with skills no less than Demon Hunters, all being bloody-handed assassins. With Melissa’s current ability, she’s entirely an unlikely match for them. With the presence of crossbows, a single mistake could lead to her death, and neither Van Helsing nor Su Ziyu would allow her to join in the action.

Su Ziyu’s mentality has been much more open than it used to be.

He had figured it out.

Regardless of whether he can return home alive, he’d just do the things he wishes to do.

The sky gradually dimmed.

At dusk, Van Helsing returned here with a woman wearing a cloak.

"Alice." Van Helsing pointed to the woman in the black cloak and said, "She’s a member of the Female Sorcerer Mutual Aid Association. They also plan to take revenge on those Witch Hunters."

Van Helsing evidently had contact ways with those female sorcerers.

The woman pulled off her hood, revealing long black hair. Her features were extremely beautiful, giving a mixed-race impression. Her lightly dark eyeshadow held Charm, with a high-bridged nose, three-dimensional features, and small lips painted with a red-black lipstick. Beneath her icy demeanor was a hint of hatred and sadness as she assessed Su Ziyu in front of her.

"Is he reliable?" The female sorcerer named Alice turned to Van Helsing and asked.

Van Helsing didn’t speak, merely sliced a cut on his palm with a dagger, with blood droplets falling down the palm.

Alice didn’t ask anymore afterwards.

This seems to be a special custom from certain places, including Van Helsing’s initial gesture of pounding his chest towards Su Ziyu.

"They’re hunting for our trails."

"Many sisters have been forced to relocate."

"There are quite a number of these lackeys; yesterday, six formidable ones came in," Alice sat before Su Ziyu, saying slowly, "We must have revenge! Blood for blood, tooth for tooth!"

Van Helsing also sat down, asked solemnly, "Do you have any plans?"

"They’re tracking us." Alice looked at Su Ziyu and spoke slowly, "We plan to set a trap. Lure them out of the city!"

Van Helsing pondered and asked, "How many of them are there?"

"Don’t know," Alice shook her head, "At least twenty people. The nobles here seem to have been roped in by them."

"Jenny’s identity was just exposed like that."

Mentioning the deceased witch, Alice’s eyes were full of hatred and sorrow.

It seems the witch was quite beloved.

Van Helsing fell into deep thought. After a while, he slowly raised his head and asked, "How many people do you have?"

"Five," Alice whispered, "Inid is rushing back. But it’ll take at least three days."

"Many sisters are no longer willing to wait."

"Those sisters who just awakened are extremely vulnerable now, the Eternal Flame’s dogs seem to have acquired some intelligence about us."

In this world, witches need talent to awaken their casting abilities.

Those recently awakened witches are often weaker, requiring training and the consumption of magic potions to gain more powerful casting abilities. Demon Hunters are the creations of wizards; their bodies undergo genetic mutation due to magic potions. However, becoming a Demon Hunter requires talent; this kind of casting talent is much weaker than that of a witch, but without it, it’s difficult to pass the trials of magic potions.

After hearing Alice’s words, Van Helsing couldn’t help but turn his gaze towards Su Ziyu.

As if wanting to hear his opinion.

Seeing how highly Van Helsing regarded the young man, Alice couldn’t help but focus her gaze on Su Ziyu as well.

Tap tap tap.

Su Ziyu’s fingers lightly tapped the table. He pondered and said, "I can handle at least ten."

He was unfamiliar with everything about Lund.

However, Su Ziyu was clear about his strength. Conservatively estimating, without revealing his Spiritual Energy, he could single-handedly take on over ten Witch Hunters. If the terrain is open and he can maintain distance, dealing with twenty to thirty Witch Hunters alone wouldn’t be tough. But the problem is the Anti-Material Sniper Rifle’s ammo is running low. He thought he should be somewhat humbly discreet. Without using the Anti-Material Sniper Rifle, he could still manage ten Witch Hunters somewhat decently.

"Arrogant guy!" Alice laughed in anger, unable to help saying, "These lackeys have used magic potions."

"Though they can’t cast Dharma Seals, their strength isn’t weaker than you Demon Hunters!"

A flash of cold light.

Alice suddenly swallowed back her words. A strand of black hair gently fell, and she hadn’t even seen Su Ziyu’s movement, just felt a blur before her eyes, then a chilling sensation arose on her white neck.

Instantly, this female warlock’s hair stood on end!

She knew clearly that if he were an enemy, she would’ve had her throat slit.

This is an extremely dangerous man!

Su Ziyu looked at the female warlock with a slightly stiff expression and smiled gently, saying, "I’m serious."
