Chapter 13 The Maniacal Azure Dragon Gang

The next morning, Luo Xiao Le was awakened by the conversation of the other three people.

She had slept late and was not yet fully awake.

She could hear Luo Shu and the others talking.

"Holy crap, thank goodness we said something in the group chat beforehand last night," Luo Shu exclaimed, gesturing wildly. "One of the brothers never locks his window when he sleeps. He stayed up late last night, saw our message, and got so scared he closed the window! Guess what?" He even paused for dramatic effect.

"What happened?" Luo Xiao Le, now awake, groggily followed his lead.

"The brother closed his window and was about to sleep when, less than a minute later, that climbing zombie smashed through his glass and woke him up. Luckily, he was prepared. He had a silenced pistol next to his pillow and shot the zombie dead with one shot!"

Luo Xiao Le's sleepiness vanished instantly. That sounded so exciting!

"That brother is thanking us in the group chat now. That zombie must have been active around that time. If we hadn't reminded him, and he'd kept his window open, he would have been attacked as soon as he fell asleep in a daze."

Luo Xiao Le breathed a sigh of relief. It was good that the message had been useful.

She hadn't found an answer to last night's problem and had eventually fallen asleep in a daze from exhaustion.

Thinking about it now, her brow furrowed again.

Dealing with the climbing zombie and upgrading her trading skills were two urgent matters that needed immediate resolution.

"Xiao Le, what are you worrying about?" Zhu Hui asked, taking a bite of the biscuits they had traded for earlier, and looking at her with a swaying head.

"I'm thinking about how to deal with that zombie," Luo Xiao Le said listlessly, taking another half-box of biscuits that Zhu Hui offered her.

"Are you not feeling hungry?" Zhu Hui asked, pulling out a small basket from the room. "I have other flavors here, would you like some?"

Luo Xiao Le's eyes lit up when she saw the small basket.

Ignoring the ache in her limbs that had become a daily affair, she pushed herself up from beside the sofa and rushed to the storage room, pulling out the climbing rope they had from home.

It was long enough, she thought!

Next, she asked Zhu Hui to transfer the supplies from the basket to another box.

She tied the climbing rope to the small basket and pulled it hard. It seemed very secure.

Then, she began to privately message the buyers who had ordered weapons, confirming if they had ropes and small hooks at home.

...

Within a few minutes, the buyers had sent their door numbers.

Luo Xiao Le stood by the window, locating the buyers who were in the same building as her.

She then messaged them individually, asking them to secure their hooks and their own ropes.

Although confused, they all complied, and one after another, they tossed ropes with hooks out of their windows.

A miracle happened!

Their ropes seemed to be grabbed by someone, they twitched, and then, following instructions, they pulled them up!

The ropes, carrying small baskets, were suddenly pulled up by them.

And inside were the weapons they wanted!

Desk lamps... ballpoint pens... although their appearance was bizarre, after a few swings, they immediately realized that these were the divine weapons the weapon dealer had spoken of for fighting zombies!

"Don't just stand there, send my basket back down after you've taken your items," Luo Xiao Le said, privately reminding them when the buyers remained idle for too long.

"Coming right up!"

After receiving her basket back, she repeated the process, delivering weapons to the other residents in the building.

A total of 49 items, all sold!

[Your account has received 49000, balance 57200 mall coins]

Yes! Luo Xiao Le cheered.

If she could earn another 51000, she could upgrade again and go to the side entrance of the supermarket for supplies!

...

Finally, a peaceful daytime arrived.

Luo Xiao Le had already scoured most of the items at home, and there wasn't much left for her to enhance for the time being.

She also had a rare day of rest, replenishing her mental energy.

She kept trying to recall who it was that had helped her in front of the supermarket, cleared the corridor, and saved her last night.

But she still had no clue.

She had been forced to do housework at home every day and had very little time for social activities, so she didn't have many close friends.

Especially after the apocalypse, she had lost everything overnight, so to speak.

Even her mother's other ring had been taken by someone.

She couldn't think of anyone familiar who would step forward to protect her at such a time.

The sun gradually set, drawing a lonely arc across the horizon.

She didn't know if the climbing zombie would attack again tonight.

Everyone sat in the living room, planning to take turns on watch. If the zombie came, at least someone would notice it in time.

This was destined to be a sleepless night.

When it was Luo Xiao Le's turn to keep watch, a sudden exclamation came from the room next door, piercing her ears.

"Ah! What are you doing!" The voice sounded somewhat familiar.

Luo Xiao Le tilted her head, trying to identify it. The voice seemed to be coming from next door.

Calculating the location, this seemed to be the home of the young lady who had saved them in the corridor yesterday?

Luo Xiao Le's expression became serious. She said "you guys," and even spoke, so it was unlikely to be a zombie encounter...

Was the young lady being attacked by others?

Luo Xiao Le braced herself on the sofa with difficulty, preparing to cross over to the young lady's home from the connecting balcony to check.

"You're going to save her?" Wang Hao, who had woken up at some point, asked curiously, looking at Luo Xiao Le with his eyes.

Luo Xiao Le's expression became somewhat subtle when she heard his question. "Of course."

"Then I'll go too," Wang Hao said sullenly.

Luo Xiao Le raised an eyebrow, a little surprised. But then she remembered that Wang Hao hadn't abandoned Zhu Hui on the first day.

Although he could be selfish at times, he was generally a good person.

Luo Xiao Le climbed with difficulty over the nearby window and landed with Wang Hao on the young lady's balcony.

She looked through the glass window in shock and saw several burly men tying the brown-haired young lady to the head of the bed!

And they had confiscated her weapons!

The men had lecherous smiles on their faces, and one of them had already started unbuckling his belt.

Some of them had tacky tattoos and fierce expressions, clearly not good people.

Luo Xiao Le was instantly filled with rage!

Just as she was about to move to help, Wang Hao quickly grabbed her wrist.

"Don't go!" Wang Hao whispered.

"Without her yesterday, we would have been finished!" Luo Xiao Le retorted.

"This... this is different. If we could save her, we would. But we can't beat these guys. We'd just be throwing our lives away," Wang Hao said, looking somewhat evasive.

Luo Xiao Le looked down and saw that Wang Hao was still holding the weapon she had given him, and she felt a pang of disappointment.

If people lack courage, even with a dragon-slaying sword, they will falter midway.

She said softly, "Although I used to be timid, I still understand the principle of repaying kindness. Without her, I wouldn't be standing here now."

She added, "And, dealing with these people isn't that difficult."

The girl tied to the bed had already closed her eyes in despair.

These people were repeat offenders, skilled in breaking and entering. She hadn't even heard a sound before her home was invaded.

Tears slowly rolled down her cheeks. She hadn't died by the hands of zombies, only to encounter scum!

"Yo, this little lady, so tender and fair. My brothers are in for a treat tonight!" one of them chuckled sinisterly.

"Indeed, Azure Dragon, Azure Dragon, Little White Dragon of the Waves. Our Azure Dragon Gang's slogan isn't just for show."

"Normally, the boss enjoys himself. Tonight, we brothers will enjoy ourselves too!"

The men laughed wantonly and gathered around, preparing to climb onto the bed.

Suddenly, they felt a shadow that had suddenly obscured a large portion of the moonlight by the window.

"Second brother, why is there a dark cloud tonight? Look, even heaven is hinting that today is a good day for some stormy fun!"

One of them said carelessly.

The others burst into laughter, but then they froze.

By the window, a giant strawberry bear plush toy had mysteriously appeared, blocking most of the light.

The plush toy was stained with black blood and had appeared extremely suddenly.

Standing unusually upright and silent, it looked exactly like a doll from a horror movie come to claim a life.

"What... what the hell is that thing!" The men scrambled away in terror, some even wetting themselves.

"Swoosh!" A sound of something cutting through the air, and one of the men's hands was instantly nailed to the wall by something.

Blood flowed from his palm, dripping onto the floor, making a heavy 'plop' sound in the silence.

"Ghost... ghost..." The men instantly turned and ran towards the door.

Only the weak-kneed man, pinned to the wall, was left, now trembling with fear in the corner.

His eyes were wide with terror as he watched the terrifying strawberry bear slowly advance towards him!
