Chapter 1243: Chapter 389: I Am You
Looking at the state of the Great Emperor Ziwei, if anything were to happen to Sun Wukong, he would surely turn against us.
The Eastern King glanced at the Martial King, and said meaningfully: "I just mentioned it earlier, did you think I was deceiving you? The relationship between Wukong and the Great Emperor Ziwei is closer than even blood brothers, and although Wukong is jokingly referred to as the Emperor’s consort, it still signifies their extraordinary bond."
The Martial King was sweating on his forehead.
He swallowed a mouthful of saliva and said, "In that case, we should now go find the Great Saint."
He heard Yang Jian refer to Sun Wukong as the Great Saint and dared not call his name, referring to him directly as the Great Saint instead.
It was mainly the attitude of the Great Emperor Ziwei towards Sun Wukong that made him somewhat anxious.
Even, the Martial King worried, perhaps the attitude of Lord Taishang towards Sun Wukong might be the same.
If that’s the case, then when the Nine Wastes enter the Three Realms, if something happens to Sun Wukong, none of them would survive.
"Let’s go."
The Great Emperor Ziwei noticed the Martial King’s nervousness, his heart sank, knowing something was amiss.
However, he couldn’t express anything at this moment, and was ready to set off immediately.
The group set off together, heading towards the Endless Abyss.
At this moment, Sun Wukong was in the Endless Abyss, bathing in blood and fighting fiercely.
Endless monsters arose from the void, and he slew one after another, already losing count of how many he had killed.
Even so, the monsters continued to appear nonstop, and Sun Wukong advanced, fighting his way through an unknown distance.
He seriously doubted whether he had been deceived by that Martial King fellow.
Wasn’t it said that it was not very dangerous here?
If a Heavenly Emperor could break through, Sun Wukong was confident he could fight his way out.
Although he was not as strong as the Heavenly Emperor, his own strength and means made his survival ability not much weaker.
Even so, he felt he was reaching his limit.
Sun Wukong doubted if the Heavenly Emperor could really make it out alive.
If it weren’t for the Primordial Demonic Qi supplying mana, he would’ve been exhausted of mana by now.
It was mainly because there were too many enemies, and he had slaughtered at least a thousand demonic creatures.
The weakest among them had the power of a top-level Great Heavenly Venerate, while the stronger ones were comparable to Sub-Paramount, almost reaching the Supreme level.
No wonder Sun Wukong was fighting to exhaustion.
Any Supreme of comparable strength to him would have already fallen here.
Thankfully, there were no Supreme level monsters here.
Otherwise, Sun Wukong would be plotting his escape rather than exploring as he was now.
Sun Wukong was quite curious about this Endless Abyss.
It was primarily the stone monkey mentioned by the Martial King and others that caught Sun Wukong’s attention.
A stone with nine orifices, absorbing the essence of the sun and moon, could transform into a living being.
This type of Immortal Stone becoming a living being was extremely rare.
However, once transformed, they were exceptionally powerful entities, with abilities and potential that defy the natural order.
Sun Wukong himself was a stone monkey, naturally aware of this fact.
Along the way, he lost count of how many monsters he had slain.
Sun Wukong felt he was losing his way, unable to remember the way back.
At this moment, he could only continue forward.
It was as if a voice in the dark was guiding him, urging him to push forward.
Sun Wukong’s eyes flashed with golden light; he was calm, and could ascertain that he was not attracted by illusions or coaxed away.
Instead, it was something innate, a voice telling him, or rather an intuition, urging him onward.
This was the reason Sun Wukong kept fighting his way forward.
Even though he saw nothing in the Endless Abyss, he continued to explore.
Sun Wukong didn’t know how long he had been fighting; he only knew that even the Primordial Demonic Qi seemed dim and shook within his body in dissatisfaction.
This time, the Primordial Demonic Qi had been drawn for too much mana, and given its usual nature, it certainly felt shortchanged.
Sun Wukong, however, couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to it; after all, no matter how reluctant the Primordial Demonic Qi was, it had to obey him.
Providing mana, the Primordial Demonic Qi could not refuse.
Most importantly, Sun Wukong felt that the place he was reaching was near.
Just as he smashed a gigantic monster that was nearly Supreme, the scene in front of Sun Wukong suddenly cleared.
A Divine Statue appeared before him, reaching one hundred thousand feet high.
Sun Wukong scrutinized the Divine Statue and was surprised to find that it was a monkey.
Could it be?
Sun Wukong was shocked; could it be the legendary stone monkey mentioned by the Martial King and the others?
A master reportedly on the verge of surpassing the Creation Realm, an invincible entity even within the Creation Realm.
Is this its Divine Statue?
Sun Wukong’s sharp eyes noticed a coffin at the foot of the statue.
Upon reaching here, the call in Sun Wukong’s heart grew stronger.
It was the Divine Statue of the stone monkey calling to him.
At this moment, a golden coffin was radiating brilliant light, placed horizontally at the foot of the statue, with a corner that was opened now closed.
Sun Wukong stepped forward, and at this moment, the Divine Statue glowed, and a light flew from the statue directly into Sun Wukong’s body.
Sun Wukong shuddered all over and immediately froze.
The Primordial Demonic Qi sensed Sun Wukong’s condition, intending to erupt, but one sweep of an aura made it quiet down instantly, with no further reaction.
A hazy world, with no up, down, or four corners in sight, just an indefinite, hazy space.
Golden light appeared, illuminating the entire misty world.
In front of Sun Wukong appeared a being identical to him in appearance, with eyes shimmering with faint gold, standing with hands behind his back, gazing at Sun Wukong, with a slight smile on his face.
"You have arrived."
The being spoke, with a familiarity as if they were old acquaintances.
Sun Wukong cocked his head to look at him, with a hint of impatience in his eyes.
He was most annoyed by others mimicking his appearance, which invariably reminded Sun Wukong of that Six-Eared Macaque.
Sun Wukong struck without hesitation, swinging his staff over.
The figure vanished from that spot in a flash.
When it reappeared, it was already at another position.
The being’s smile did not waver as he said to Sun Wukong: "These are all illusions, existing merely in a single thought. You can’t kill me. Even if you did, it wouldn’t matter, because I am merely a remnant spirit, already dead."
"Who are you really?"
Sun Wukong asked.
The being identical to him chuckled and said, "I am you."
Sun Wukong was taken aback, his eyes narrowing, a pair of glowing golden eyes staring at the counterpart, pondering silently.
The being met Sun Wukong’s gaze unflinchingly, unfazed by his stare.
Suddenly, Sun Wukong let out a cold laugh and reached out with an empty grab.
At once, the being was drawn towards him and grasped in his hand.
