Chapter 466 - 466 221 Expulsion from the Clan_2

466: Chapter 221: Expulsion from the Clan_2 466: Chapter 221: Expulsion from the Clan_2 Considering that Huaguo Mountain is located above the East Sea and echoes the East Sea Dragon Clan from afar, based on the relationship between Sun Wukong and the East Sea Dragon King, should anything happen to Huaguo Mountain, the East Sea Dragon King would likely rush to its aid immediately.

After all, even the East Sea Dragon King’s daughter, the Lady Dragon of Wealth, resides on Huaguo Mountain.

Not to mention that the current status of the Dragon Clan can’t be separated from Sun Wukong’s influence.

Thinking of this, Maitreya Buddha ultimately dared not say anything more.

Times had changed; not so long ago, he could berate Sun Wukong and call him a rascal monkey, but now he definitely didn’t dare to do so.

“So, if the Jade Emperor intends to take action to retaliate against the Heavenly Court, or even against the Tathagata Buddha, he could only target Mount Ling, not Huaguo Mountain,”

shine flashed in Jin Chan’s eyes.

Sun Wukong nodded.

After taking a deep breath, Jin Chan bowed to the three of them: “Wukong, Mount Ling is grateful to you for not bearing grudges and for protecting our Mount Ling.”

Maitreya Buddha muttered, “Don’t jump to conclusions about things that haven’t happened yet.”

“Shut up.”

At that moment, Jin Chan shouted somewhat angrily.

Maitreya Buddha immediately shut his mouth, visibly annoyed.

His face turned ashen, and he fell silent.

“If the Jade Emperor’s men do come to kill, we won’t need Wukong and the others to rescue us, because it will simply be too late.

I definitely won’t die, but none of you will survive,”

As these words were spoken, Maitreya Buddha and the others’ complexions drastically changed.

They quite acknowledged the truth in Jin Chan’s words.

If that day really came, indeed, none of them would survive.

And with the strength of a Great Heavenly Venerate, Jin Chan would still have a chance to escape, plus his own cunning, giving him at least an eighty percent chance of slipping away.

As for Jin Chan fighting to the death side by side with Mount Ling, sorry, he definitely couldn’t do it, nor would he.

Having understood all this, Maitreya Buddha finally stopped speaking, and the rage in his heart essentially dissipated.

Seeing that he was no longer speaking, Jin Chan’s expression eased somewhat.

He asked Sun Wukong, “When do you think the Jade Emperor will make his move?”

Sun Wukong thought for a moment and said, “I don’t know why the Jade Emperor has no reaction to all the rumors outside, but I think he can’t possibly stay silent forever.

I estimate that within a month, he will definitely take action.”

That is to say, Sun Wukong only needed to stay at Mount Ling for a month.

Jin Chan immediately felt relieved, knowing that with Sun Wukong and the others present, plus his four Great Heavenly Venerates,

as long as the Jade Emperor doesn’t personally intervene, there isn’t much to worry about.

Jin Chan said with a smile, “In that case, please enjoy the dance of the Flying Apsaras.”

He signaled for the dancing Flying Apsaras to continue, their graceful movements breathtakingly enchanting.

Even Sun Wukong showed a surprised expression and, after thinking for a moment, couldn’t help but remark, “You really care about Mount Ling.

To think of such a method to aid them in improving their cultivation.”

Jin Chan sighed and said gloomily, “Do you think this is what I wanted?

With a bunch of fools by my side, and Tathagata merely babbling endlessly, leading others astray.

Although I have no ambition to dominate the Three Realms, Mount Ling’s strength is too pathetic.

And the only two with true wisdom have left Mount Ling, so I had to make a move to bolster Mount Ling’s strength a bit.”

As his gaze swept over the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, Sun Wukong exclaimed, “It seems there has been some success, though not great.

Congratulations are also due to the Lamp-Burning Ancient Buddha.”

Lamp-Burning Ancient Buddha smiled faintly and said, “Thank you, Great Saint.”

The crowd was puzzled, not understanding their cryptic exchanges.

Only Maitreya Buddha had some insight, but his realm was still inferior to that of Lamp-Burning Ancient Buddha, so he didn’t gain as much.

After all, not everyone has the same aptitude.

The Bodhisattva Guanyin and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva suddenly understood Jin Chan’s intention.

Initially, they thought Jin Chan was being frivolous, but now they regarded him with a touch of solemnity in their eyes.

This Jin Chan was indeed much more outstanding than they had imagined.

“Guanyin sister, consider returning to Mount Ling.

I will ask that old man Tathagata to appoint you as a Buddha, a position not inferior to mine,”

Jin Chan tried to persuade Guanyin.

However, the Bodhisattva Guanyin merely smiled slightly and rejected Jin Chan,

saying softly, “With Buddha in my heart, whether it’s on Mount Ling or in the Purple Bamboo Forest of the South Sea, I can cultivate just the same.

There is no need to join Mount Ling.”

“Ksitigarbha, I sincerely invite you back to Mount Ling.

Don’t forget, Mount Ling is your root.

If you return, I will ask the Buddha to appoint you as the Kṣitigarbha Buddha, a position second only to the Buddha himself.”

Jin Chan continued to invite Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

However, before Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva could speak, Sun Wukong expressed his discontent,

saying, “Old Sun is still here, and yet you try to poach from Old Sun’s corner, monk.

Are you asking for a beating?”

Jin Chan immediately let out a dry laugh,

clearly aware that what he was doing was inappropriate, but he still couldn’t help feeling discontent.

Ksitigarbha and Guanyin used to be great saints of the Buddhist Realm, but now they had both left Mount Ling.

If they were still at Mount Ling, what would they have to fear even if the Jade Emperor sent his men to attack?

With four Great Heavenly Venerates from one sect, they might not have the capital to dominate the Three Realms, but it would be enough to become the strongest force in the Realm.

Though Mount Ling might seem invincible and the strongest force in the Three Realms to ordinary immortals, even comparable to the Heavenly Court,

even some of the Bodhisattvas and Arhats of Mount Ling thought so,

only Tathagata and those like him knew that compared to the topmost forces between heaven and earth, Mount Ling was not on the same level.
