Yu Wenli exhaled smoke and got straight to the point, "What brand of sanitary pads do you usually use?"
"Huh?"
Yu Zhishu was clearly stunned by the question and after a long silence, she dazedly asked, "Are you sure you're asking about... sanitary pads?"
Her seemingly ethereal cousin actually cared about such things? This was more unbelievable than a scam.
Just as Yu Zhishu was questioning her life, Yu Wenli gave a very certain single syllable.
"Mm."
Then he impatiently urged, "Which brand?"
"Uh..."
Yu Zhishu's brain short-circuited for a few seconds. But instinctively, she listed a few brands, along with details about day and night use, and lengths. Yu Wenli didn't fully grasp the details, but his two minutes in front of the shelves weren't wasted. He quickly matched the data.
"Wait!"
Just as he was about to hang up, Yu Zhishu suddenly reacted and asked with uncertainty, "You're not... dating, are you?!"
Yu Wenli frowned at her tone, "Is that not allowed?"
Yu Zhishu clicked her tongue meaningfully, "Was the young lady forced into it?"
Yu Wenli: "..."
Yu Zhishu twirled her pen, saying with great sympathy, "You didn't scare her silly, did you?" She knew her cousin's temper best. He had absolutely no patience. The last time she was only three minutes late, he had already left and his phone simply said he was busy and didn't have time to waste. If he really found a girlfriend, he'd bully the poor girl to death.
"Heh."
Yu Wenli let out a sarcastic, chilling laugh and hung up decisively.
Truly his sister, not a single word he could actually listen to.
Yu Zhishu stared at the hung-up phone, then belatedly remembered something. Sanitary pads. Her incredibly proud cousin was actually buying these things for a girl? The sun must have risen from the west. Unable to suppress her gossip, Yu Zhishu sent a message to Que You, asking who Yu Wenli's girlfriend was.
Que You was perplexed, "When did he get a girlfriend?"
Yu Zhishu's eyes widened in surprise, "???"
He was buying sanitary pads for someone he wasn't even dating yet?! That was even more terrifying. Her aloof cousin might actually be smitten.

Meanwhile.
Yu Wenli finished his cigarette and returned to the shelves. Following the brands and data Yu Zhishu provided, he picked up a pack of each. Then, carrying the sanitary pads, which completely clashed with his demeanor, he went to the counter. The young lady at the checkout stared back and forth several times before remembering to scan the items. Her face was red when she collected the payment.
Yu Wenli thanked her and then gently asked, "May I have a black bag, please?" He didn't mind walking around with sanitary pads, but the young lady was quite shy and he figured she might be embarrassed.
Seven minutes.
Wen Tingxue sat on the bed, bored, counting the minutes. When she reached 421 seconds, the boy she had been waiting for returned with a bag. A bulging bag. Wen Tingxue blinked dazedly, "How many packs did you buy?"
Yu Wenli casually took out a pack for daily use and explained, "I didn't know which brand you liked, so try them all."
"..."
Having such private items held in his hands made Wen Tingxue blush with both shame and embarrassment. Her voice was soft, like a spoiled child's. "Oh, stop looking and just give them to me."
Yu Wenli frowned, his gaze sweeping over her hands, which were wrapped up like a zongzi. "Are you sure they'll be useful for you?"
"..."
Although it was the truth, the young lady's face still turned red from her neck upwards. Her long lashes drooped, and she refused to look at him any further. Yu Wenli chuckled softly and stopped teasing her. He reached out and carried her to the bathroom door, then called for a female doctor to assist her.
While waiting outside, Yu Wenli ran into Yu Yahoo, who was in a wheelchair. Their eyes met; hers were cold and emotionless, his were shy and fearful. After just one second, Yu Wenli quickly looked away, as if he had touched something dirty. Yu Yahoo bit her lip with a displeased expression and quickly pushed her wheelchair away. Her injury wasn't severe, just inconvenient for walking. Yu Wenli could see that, which only made him more annoyed. She had fallen too lightly. Compared to the wrongs the young girl had suffered, it was nothing.
...
By the time everything was dealt with, it was already class time. Yu Wenli carried the young girl on his back to the classroom. His favorite song played through his earphones, and his beloved was cradled in his arms. Even walking on the deserted road, he didn't feel lonely. After a few songs, they arrived at the foot of the teaching building. Yu Wenli pondered for a few seconds and then asked, "How do you plan to tell your uncle and aunt about your injury?"
