Chapter 137 The Roadblock

The ninja resisted forcefully, gritting his teeth, "No!"

Bai Ye grinned, suddenly chuckling, "You say no, and I should just stop? Where does that leave my pride?"

*Pu!*

The dagger pierced the ninja's chest, sinking deeper bit by bit. Blood continuously oozed from the edges until the resistance vanished. Only when the dagger had fully penetrated the man's heart did Bai Ye release his grip.

Rising, he wiped the blood from his hands and turned to leave the bar.

Just as he reached the entrance, Little Rada scampered over, chirping excitedly at Bai Ye, then gesturing to the surroundings.

"Hmm?"

Bai Ye glanced at the blown-up car and the scorch marks, then at the tire tracks on the ground.

He spoke to the chattering Little Rada, "The other party has accomplices? They ambushed Jin Sha at the entrance and abducted Alex?"

"Chirp chirp!"

Little Rada nodded its small head repeatedly.

"Damn it!" Bai Ye cursed, "Where's your backbone? Your pride? What has happened to people these days, so lacking in integrity? Everyone is banding together, where's the spirit of venturing out alone?"

"Chirp?"

Little Rada tilted its head, looking at Bai Ye. Aren't you the same?

After his outburst, Bai Ye pulled open the car door, slid into the driver's seat, and beckoned to Little Rada, "What are you waiting for? Let's go!"

Little Rada chirped and hopped into the passenger seat through the window.

Bai Ye quickly started the car, "Jin Sha left you here, meaning you can help me find her, right?"

Little Rada nodded, "Chirp chirp!"

Bai Ye nodded, saying nothing more. But at that very moment...

As the car left the alley and was about to turn onto the street, a convoy arrived at the alley's mouth, blocking Bai Ye's path.

"Talk about one misfortune after another!"

Bai Ye slapped the steering wheel.

The convoy before him...

It was the boss of the Reis family!

Alex had been captured by the Reis family and brought to the underground bar. Facing Mr. One Hundred Million, the Reis family boss intended to personally escort the captive out of the city. He had driven over with a group of his trusted subordinates, but it seemed he was clearly late.

At this moment, a heavily tattooed man stepped out of a car, walked to Bai Ye's car, placed his hands on the roof, and bent down to look at Bai Ye, "What's your situation? Why are you coming out of there?"

Bai Ye tilted his head, "Picking up a delivery."

The man blinked, "Picking up what delivery?"

Bai Ye pulled an AK-47 from under the seat, "Death sent me to deliver your lives to him!"

Before the man could react, Bai Ye decisively pulled the trigger. In an instant, the man was riddled with bullets and fell backward.

The next moment, Bai Ye floored the accelerator and rammed forward.

*Bang!*

Bai Ye forcibly pushed aside the foremost car, carving a path straight through, and sped off into the distance.

A man with a cigar hanging from his mouth stuck his head out and roared, "Send a car to check if something happened at the bar, the rest of you, pursue them! Don't let them escape."

Meanwhile, Bai Ye looked in the rearview mirror and soon spotted the Reis family cars in pursuit.

"These buzzing flies..." Bai Ye grabbed Little Rada and placed it by his feet, "This is the accelerator. Just press it down hard and don't let go, understand?"

"Chirp?"

Little Rada's face showed panic. You want a rat to drive?

Bai Ye gave Little Rada no chance to refuse. He released the accelerator and climbed over into the driver's seat, sticking his body out of the sunroof.

The next moment, Bai Ye raised his gun and began firing at the vehicles behind them!

*Tuk, tuk, tuk, tuk, tuk...*

The AK-47 roared, bullets pouring out behind them. The car windows shattered one after another, forcing the drivers to duck low and grip the steering wheel with all their might.

But...

There were always unlucky ones!

A driver's head was suddenly pierced by a bullet. With wide eyes, he slumped forward, his head hitting the steering wheel.

The person in the passenger seat cried out in alarm and quickly grabbed the steering wheel, trying to steady the car. However, the steering wheel was firmly jammed by the driver's arm.

Then...

*Bang!*

Two cars collided violently.

One of them flipped into the air and slammed into a car on the side, sending that car onto the sidewalk and crashing directly into a cake shop.

"Playing with me?"

Bai Ye burst out laughing, then crawled back into the car, pulled the accelerator-pressing Little Rada up and threw it into the passenger seat, and continued driving forward.

Suddenly, Little Rada began chirping loudly.

"Hmm?"

Bai Ye glanced at Little Rada, then peered upwards. He spotted a green mantis-like beast, about a meter tall, flying in the sky, quickly passing over the rooftops.

Bai Ye pulled his head back in, "Is that Jin Sha's beast?"

Little Rada nodded.

Bai Ye said, "Hold on tight."

Bai Ye slammed on the brakes, then violently spun the steering wheel. The car practically flew as it rounded the street corner without slowing down, terrifying nearby vehicles.

"Are they crazy? Rushing to their deaths?"

A hot-tempered driver stuck his head out and yelled.

Bai Ye casually picked up the AK-47, extended it out the window, and pulled the trigger towards the sky.

The cursing driver flinched and quickly ducked into his car, covering his head. Simultaneously, the vehicles ahead heard the gunfire and instinctively moved aside, clearing a path.

Bai Ye sped along, quickly turning another corner. He saw the flying mantis land on the roof of a building.

"Hmm?"

Bai Ye slowed down, parked the car by the roadside, picked up Little Rada, grabbed his gun, and got out, walking towards the building where the mantis had landed.

However, as he approached the building, Bai Ye realized the mantis on the roof had vanished. He then looked at the building itself.

It had pointed arched roofs, flying eaves, and numerous stained-glass windows. There were hollowed-out sections in the walls, containing statues. It was a typical Gothic building. Above the main entrance, a giant cross stood, so it was almost certainly a church.

Bai Ye thought as he walked to the church's main entrance and casually pushed the door open.

Then...

A green, round object rolled towards Bai Ye.

Bai Ye looked down...

"What the hell!"

Bai Ye instantly swore and leaped backward, tumbling down the church's front steps.

*Boom!*

The moment Bai Ye hit the bottom of the stairs, a deafening explosion occurred. Following the blast, large plumes of fire accompanied by black smoke suddenly billowed out.

...
