Chapter 305 The Will

It was rare for Nuo Nuo to finally accept Chen Zhisheng.

Chen Zhisheng was overjoyed, not knowing how to react. Even the wound on his arm seemed to stop hurting. Fortunately, it wasn't serious, and he could go home after it was bandaged.

Upon returning to the Fu residence, he voluntarily offered to treat Fu Jingshu and Shen Qingqing to a meal.

Having learned the truth of the past and found his daughter, he finally understood how foolish he had been. "I want to apologize to you. All these years, I misunderstood you."

He looked at Fu Jingshu with guilt.

Fu Jingshu said calmly, "Let's eat at home."

"I'll cook..."

Before Shen Qingqing could finish her sentence, someone hooked his waist and pulled her into his arms. She instinctively looked up at him, but Fu Jingshu wasn't looking at her.

"I'll have someone prepare the meal. You two go and rest first."

Chen Zhisheng didn't say anything else and took his child back to the room.

Meanwhile, Shen Jinxi and Chenchen immediately rushed over, surrounding Shen Qingqing and calling "Mommy, Mommy" incessantly. Of course, Chenchen remained silent as usual, just holding onto her hand and refusing to let go.

Old Madam Fu also came downstairs. "How is it?"

Fu Jingshu's lips curved into a faint smile. "Everything went smoothly."

Old Madam Fu finally breathed a sigh of relief, a relaxed smile appearing on her face. "Good, at least we can have some peaceful days from now on."

"Where's Father?"

Shen Qingqing hadn't seen him since she returned.

"He's at the company. He said that since Jingshu isn't here, he needs to help manage the company and ensure there are no accidents. He's practically living at the company."

Old Madam Fu spoke of her youngest son with great satisfaction.

As they were talking, Chen Zhisheng came downstairs with his child. They didn't know what the father and daughter had discussed upstairs, but the atmosphere between them seemed to have become very intimate.

Shen Qingqing was naturally happy to see this.

At the dinner table, Chen Zhisheng had already memorized Nuo Nuo's preferences and was serving her the dishes she liked. Old Madam Fu and the others watched with gratification.

When they had eaten most of their meal, everyone gradually put down their chopsticks. Chen Zhisheng then pulled Nuo Nuo to stand up, placing his large hand on Nuo Nuo's fluffy head.

"Apologize to your Chenchen and Xixi brothers."

"I'm sorry," Nuo Nuo said softly.

She had told her father everything that had happened earlier and now knew that what she had done before was wrong. She knew she was wrong.

Chen Zhisheng said in a low voice, "I apologize for the harm Nuo Nuo caused you in the past. From today onwards, I will teach her properly."

Shen Qingqing looked at Shen Jinxi and Chenchen.

Whether to forgive or not should be decided by the two children; the adults had no right to make decisions for them.

Shen Jinxi and Chenchen exchanged a look and quickly made their decision.

Xixi waved his hand generously, "It's okay."

This was forgiveness.

Chen Zhisheng looked at Chenchen again. Although he didn't speak, he nodded silently.

Chen Zhisheng breathed a sigh of relief and felt even more guilty. Fu Jingshu's children were so well-behaved, yet his own child had been raised that way...

He shook his head. Fortunately, his child was back with him, and there was plenty of time to educate her properly.

"I've already booked the flight tickets. I'll be leaving this afternoon."

Shen Qingqing raised an eyebrow. "So soon."

Chen Zhisheng was afraid that woman would find them again and affect the child. "I want to take my daughter to see her mother."

Having found his child, it was necessary to inform his wife at her grave.

After the meal, Chen Zhisheng went to pack his luggage and prepare to leave with Nuo Nuo. Fu Jingshu offered to see them off, but Chen Zhisheng refused.

He said he had no face to face them now and just wanted to leave quietly.

Fu Jingshu agreed and asked Lin Mo to send them to the airport, handing them some things.

As Lin Mo was leaving, he said to Chen Zhisheng, "Mr. Chen, for so many years you misunderstood Master Fu, but Master Fu never explained anything. It wasn't because he was guilty..."

"You don't need to say more," Chen Zhisheng said, feeling even more ashamed upon hearing this. "I know everything. I was blind before, instigated by others. Now I understand. Please tell Mr. Fu that I wish him all the best."

Watching Chen Zhisheng and Nuo Nuo leave, Lin Mo shook his head and drove back to the Fu residence.

He went to the study to report to Fu Jingshu.

"Master Fu, the documents and the school admission letter have been given to him. I also specifically told him to look at them after boarding the plane."

"Hmm."

"With the shop abroad and the school admission letter, their father and daughter will not lack for a living," Lin Mo felt that his boss was truly kind. He had spent a large sum of money to buy that shop, and although he didn't say it out loud, he had always been planning for Chen Zhisheng.

As he spoke, Shen Qingqing happened to walk in and, upon hearing this, looked at Fu Jingshu.

Fu Jingshu felt uncomfortable being looked at by her when he did these things, which he considered ordinary. "You go and attend to your own business."

"This is what Chen Zhisheng left for you."

Lin Mo glanced at his wife, understood something, and placed an envelope on the table.

After he left, Shen Qingqing placed the coffee cup she was holding on the table, turned, and sat on Fu Jingshu's lap, wrapping her arms around his neck. "You say you don't care about Chen Zhisheng, but you don't think that way in your heart, do you?"

When they were alone, he had said he wanted Chen Zhisheng to leave as soon as possible.

Yet, his actions were very thoughtful.

Fu Jingshu pursed his thin lips and said calmly, "I just don't want him to live in destitution and then come looking for me. I don't have time to deal with him."

"Yes, yes, yes."

Let him be contradictory!

Shen Qingqing couldn't be bothered to expose him and her gaze fell on the envelope on the table. "What is this?"

Fu Jingshu picked up the envelope and placed it in her palm.

"I should look?"

"Yes."

Shen Qingqing's eyes twinkled, and she deliberately asked, "Could it be a love letter someone left for you?"

Fu Jingshu paused. "It's from Chen Zhisheng."

A man would leave him a love letter?

He frowned. The thought was somewhat repulsive.

"That's what he said, but..." Shen Qingqing found his awkward expression amusing and struggled to suppress her laughter.

Fu Jingshu quickly noticed her face contorted with suppressed amusement. "Alright, you're teasing me?"

His strong hands reached for her waist. She had ticklish spots, and this was always an effective way to deal with her. However, before he could exert any force, Shen Qingqing grabbed his hand.

"I was wrong."

Her quick admission of fault caused a flicker of regret in his eyes.

Shen Qingqing leaned in and lightly kissed his cheek. Fu Jingshu's lips curved upward, and his gaze towards her lips became heated.

She quickly opened the envelope. "Let's see what's written inside."

She was originally worried that Fu Jingshu might lose control in broad daylight, and it wouldn't be good if the children saw them. But the moment she opened the envelope, her expression became complicated.

"What's wrong?"

She simply handed the letter to Fu Jingshu. "You'd better look at it yourself."

This was not precisely a letter, but rather—Chen Zhisheng's suicide note.
