Chapter 810 Lady's Etiquette

Shen Qingqing hurried over and took the child from him, glaring at the stranger. "Who are you? How did you get into my house?"

The man walked up to Ning Xin and lowered his head slightly.

"Boss, you were right. This child was trying to hide the item. Fortunately, I discovered him in time."

Shen Qingqing was startled.

When had this man come upstairs?

Ning Xin smiled, her words laced with mockery. "So, this is your sincerity. You're trying to stall me while having your child move the stolen goods..."

She let out a cold laugh and glanced at Chenchen, her eyes filled with an indescribable emotion.

"If you've taught your child like this, I'm afraid his character is already ruined."

Shen Qingqing quickly covered the child's ears and looked at Ning Xin coldly. "Don't spout nonsense. My child has always been the best."

"Moving stolen goods, wasn't that something you taught him?"

Shen Qingqing knitted her brows and said sternly, "Please mind your words. What do you mean by 'stolen goods'? This is my room, my room, and my son is of course allowed to enter!"

Even the police wouldn't have the right to stop her, let alone her.

Ning Xin sneered, deciding to be direct. "But you outwardly agreed to let me search for the necklace, and behind my back, you had your son move it. What does that mean?"

Shen Qingqing said calmly, "Which eye saw me tell my son to take the necklace?"

Ning Xin faltered. "You didn't say it explicitly, but I believe you're definitely involved. Otherwise, why would your son be running into your room for no reason?"

"It's 'you think' again," Shen Qingqing said, not hiding the mockery on her face. "Does Miss Ning do things based on what you think?"

Ning Xin's expression grew colder.

Shen Qingqing picked up the child and swept a sharp gaze at the man. "You are not allowed to leave. Whether the necklace is found today or not, you have trespassed into my bedroom, which is against the law."

The man stiffened and instinctively looked at Ning Xin.

Before Ning Xin could speak, Shen Qingqing interrupted her. "Do you still want to search or not?"

"Yes."

Ning Xin had no choice but to set aside the matter for now, giving the man a look to calm him down, and walked towards Shen Qingqing's bedroom.

She remembered seeing the man carrying Chenchen out of the third room on the left.

Shen Qingqing followed behind and looked at Chenchen, who whispered something in her ear.

She patted Chenchen's back and whispered comfortingly.

"It's okay."

Chenchen lowered his head guiltily. "Mommy, I'm really so stupid..."

"It's alright, don't say that."

Shen Qingqing comforted him gently, not blaming him at all. Her warm tone effectively soothed the child's uneasy heart.

As she stepped into the room, Ning Xin looked back at them. "What are you two talking about?"

Shen Qingqing looked up, her face instantly turning cold. "It's none of your business what we're talking about."

"Then hurry up. I don't want any more surprises."

Ning Xin couldn't be bothered to ask further and simply issued a warning.

Shen Qingqing followed her into the room, holding the child in one hand and operating her phone with the other. On the screen, Ning Xin was searching everywhere.

Perhaps it was because Shen Qingqing was nearby, or perhaps it was Ning Xin herself, but she didn't search haphazardly. She opened potential hiding places and closed them if nothing was found.

"Don't you have a tracker?" Shen Qingqing raised her eyebrows lazily. "Do you still need to search like this?"

Ning Xin glanced at her and said nothing.

She had stopped looking at the tablet in her hand long ago. Ever since entering this room, the red dot on the tracker had been still, as if it had malfunctioned.

She guessed that there was an instrument in the room that disrupted signals.

This would interfere with the tracker and the sensor in the tablet when they got close.

Shen Qingqing kindly reminded her, "The bag I brought back that day is in the dressing room. You might want to check there."

Ning Xin stopped and looked back at her. "Are you so confident that I won't find it?"

"I'm not particularly confident."

"Then why are you still warning me?" Ning Xin sometimes couldn't understand what this woman was thinking. Shouldn't she be trying her best to stop her at this point?

Shen Qingqing simply asked, "Can I stop you?"

She had clearly come prepared, with so many bodyguards and a tracker. Even if she called the police, they would support Ning Xin's search. So, why bother?

Ning Xin fell silent.

Then, she let out a cold laugh and turned to walk towards the dressing room.

Shen Qingqing stood at the doorway without going in, pointing her camera at the room and watching Ning Xin. Ning Xin found the purple bag in the closet. Shen Qingqing said slowly, "I suggest you just take a look and don't touch anything inside. After all, whether I stole it or not, we'll need to verify fingerprints. If your fingerprints are on it, it's hard to say whether you're framing me."

Ning Xin was unfazed. However, since Shen Qingqing was filming, she had no choice but to cooperate. She picked up the bag and opened it, just taking a glance.

Inside, a necklace lay quietly. The gem on it sparkled under the light.

"The necklace is right here."

Ning Xin looked at Shen Qingqing and sneered, "Do you have anything else to say?"

"Let's go downstairs first."

Shen Qingqing carried the child and turned to leave. Of course, she waited for Ning Xin at the door before going downstairs together.

Ning Xin's gaze was complex as she watched Shen Qingqing's retreating back.

Something was wrong.

Her demeanor was off, and her expression was also strange. Since the necklace had been found, proving she had stolen it, why was she still so calm? Or was she just pretending?

She calmly followed them downstairs and showed the necklace from the bag to everyone. Of course, she hadn't touched the necklace throughout the entire process.

Not because she didn't want to, but because she didn't have the chance.

Shen Qingqing's phone had been recording the entire time.

Ning Xin maintained a calm facade, but she was anxious inside. The last step of her plan couldn't be implemented, and she was about to die of impatience!

"Now that the evidence is conclusive, what more do you have to say for yourself?" the man asked indignantly, pointing his finger at Shen Qingqing.

His fingertip almost poked her nose.

Shen Qingqing rolled her eyes at him. She placed the increasingly plump little dumpling on the sofa and secretly rubbed her slightly sore arm. "I have nothing to say. Since the evidence has been found, let's call the police."

"Aren't you afraid of being arrested?" The man had never seen someone so arrogant after being caught stealing. He couldn't help but wonder if this woman was doing it on purpose.

Her goal was to make them think she still had a trump card.

"Don't think that proposing to call the police will scare us. You're the one who stole the item, and we are the victims!"

"Then call the police."

Shen Qingqing resisted the urge to roll her eyes. A lady shouldn't roll her eyes often, but she found it utterly speechless. "Am I stopping you? Or do you not have a phone? Do you need me to lend you one?"

The man was so infuriated that he looked at Ning Xin and said resentfully, "Boss, let's just call the police and send her to the station for a good reformation!"
