If Lu Bingming had known that the so-called advertising plan two was merely a special tactic to "cool down," he would have wept tears of blood: was it really necessary to target just one student?
Inside the office, Shen Yu and Tong Ruo continued their conversation. Tong Ruo asked Shen Yu, "Then, what about Zhang Hong? You can't possibly let Lu Bingming beat him up, can you?"
Shen Yu replied without hesitation, "It's fine, at worst, we just won't let Zhang Hong come over. The Awakened team has so many people; finding someone to maintain the equipment is simple enough."
After a few more words, Tong Ruo checked her phone, "I still need to remind Feng Bing and the others not to let anything slip."
…
We will not concern ourselves with the extent to which the annoying advertisement's aftermath affected Lu Bingming. Suffice it to say, Shen Yu's popularity across the entire Minglong Kingdom soared, and at least everyone in Minglong knew of Shen Buyan, the hyper-offensive trainer.
One day, Shen Yu was sitting on a swing by the entrance of her small courtyard when she heard the distant sound of an electric vehicle. Looking up, she saw a little green man, accompanied by a messenger bird, wobbling over.
Arriving at Shen Yu's doorstep, the little green man dismounted and looked at the house number, "Excuse me, are you student Shen Yu?"
Shen Yu nodded gently, "I am. What can I do for you?"
The little green man pulled the messenger bird out from the front basket of the vehicle, "Hello, I'm a courier from the Messenger Bird Postal Service. I have some mail for you to sign for."
With that, the little green man produced a stapled booklet, dozens of pages thick, and handed it to Shen Yu, "Please sign on the bottom right corner of each page."
"Each page?"
Shen Yu looked at the booklet in her hand. If she had to sign every single page, she'd be exhausted.
"Yes, every page, because there are just too many things being sent to you."
As the little green man explained, he and the messenger bird began to unload items. While they were busy, Shen Yu quickly signed her name on the delivery slips. Although Shen Yu's name was only two characters and not difficult to write, signing so many times was tiring.
After signing for a few minutes, Shen Yu, having finished the entire booklet, stretched her fingers. "Here, it's done."
The little green man took the signed booklet and pointed to a small mountain beside him, "These are your deliveries, eighty-five items in total. Please check them, and if everything is correct, please sign…"
At this point, the little green man paused, surprised to be asked for another signature. He then looked at the papers in his hand, "Uh, there was a slight error in the procedure earlier. Please just check them."
After quickly counting the delivered packages, Shen Yu nodded, "Everything's fine. Thank you."
The little green man put away the stack of delivery slips and rode off on his vehicle, puttering away. He hadn't gone far when he rode back on his electric bike, puttering again. He grabbed the messenger bird, which was still perched on the pile of mail, and put it back in the basket, "I'm sorry, I left this one behind. See you next time."
Watching the little green man putter away, Shen Yu looked at the large pile of items stacked at her doorstep, "This is going to be a problem. How am I going to get them back inside…"
The eighty-odd items completely blocked the entrance. Shen Yu would either have to move them all or climb over the wall. With no other choice, Shen Yu touched her Poké Ball, "Delphox, come out and help."
When Delphox emerged, she was startled by the dozens of packages blocking the door. She looked at Shen Yu, her tail twitching. Shen Yu picked up a letter from the bottom, "This is a letter. I don't recognize the sender. How did it get sent?"
She quickly opened and read the letter, blushing as she crumpled it into a ball and threw it to Delphox, "Burn it. I don't want to see it again."
Delphox took the paper ball. She was curious about what had upset her trainer, but after unfolding the letter, she realized she couldn't understand the human writing. With no other option, Delphox used a small flame to incinerate the paper in her hand.
Seeing Delphox burn the letter, Shen Yu breathed a sigh of relief. The contents of that letter had made her blush and her heart race.
It was a love letter, or to put it bluntly, a proposal letter. The language was so explicit that Shen Yu couldn't handle it. Not even Xia Huanao had ever said such things to her.
Just after asking Delphox to burn the letter, which was brimming with pink bubbles, Shen Yu regretted it, sighing, "I should have kept that letter to use as evidence and reported them. Oh well, no use crying over spilled milk."
As she spoke, Shen Yu handed the envelope to Delphox, "Please trouble yourself to burn this too. It makes me angry just looking at it."
While Delphox was burning the letters, Shen Yu continued to open the envelopes. Apart from the first letter, the next dozen or so were all similar. Shen Yu grew increasingly annoyed. After patiently reading all the letters, Shen Yu re-packed them and said to Delphox, "Go and take these to Sister Xiaoxiao. She'll handle it."
Delphox took the bag Shen Yu handed her, slung it over her back, and set off to find Zheng Xiaoxiao. Meanwhile, Shen Yu looked at the remaining boxes, "Surely, there aren't any more of those messy things in here."
As Shen Yu pondered, she opened a box. The development of events once again confirmed that theorem: what humans fear will inevitably come. This first box was filled with letters, a whole box of them. Shen Yu randomly picked a few to read, and without exception, they were all love letters.
Growing angrier as she read, Shen Yu tidied up, fuming. None of these boxes contained anything proper; it had completely shattered Shen Yu's composure.
With only two or three boxes left, she hadn't found a single decent item. Weary, Shen Yu picked up a box and glanced at the sender's name, "How is this possible?"
The sender's name was clearly written as Xia Huanao. This sent ripples of emotion through Shen Yu, making her unable to calm down. Xia Huanao had been dead for over a month, and now a mail had arrived from him. This was undeniably astonishing.
Shen Yu gently stroked Xia Huanao's name on the box, "So, why would he send me this kind of mail?"
Thinking as she went, Shen Yu opened the box sent by Xia Huanao. Although the box was quite large, it was filled with countless foam papers for cushioning. The only item of potential value was a notebook and an envelope on top of it.
After opening the letter, Shen Yu was once again bombarded with sweet words. However, unlike before, because the sender was Xia Huanao, Shen Yu only felt a warmth in her heart.
She carefully read the entire letter and nodded, "I see. But I don't have time recently."
Shen Yu sighed. Xia Huanao's letter stated that he had paid a small sum to have this package delivered to Shen Yu at the end of September, so she could pack up and leave during the holiday. However, Xia Huanao had overlooked one detail: in Minglong Kingdom, October had no holidays. Although there was the Mid-Autumn Festival, there was no National Day. This made the situation somewhat awkward.
Shen Yu carefully put away the letter sent by Xia Huanao, sealed it meticulously, and then looked at the last two boxes. The first box was from Mu Zhishui's laboratory, and the second was from home. Before she could even look at the contents of these two boxes, she heard Tong Ruo's voice from not far away, "Xiao Yu, I heard you received something extraordinary."
Shen Yu smacked her forehead, "Oh no, how did Ruo Ruo-jie find out?"
Shen Yu had planned it all out: she'd just tell Zheng Xiaoxiao about this troublesome matter, and the principal would surely handle it appropriately. But she had also overlooked the fact that wherever Zheng Xiaoxiao was, Tong Ruo would also be present. And with Tong Ruo's tendency to stir up trouble, knowing about this incident wouldn't make things any better.
Tong Ruo rushed over to Shen Yu's side, "I didn't expect this, our Shen Yu is so charming that trainers from all over Minglong are writing you love letters."
"Ruo-jie. Please don't tease me. I'm already bothered."
Saying this, Shen Yu pointed to the large pile of messy boxes nearby, "Ruo Ruo-jie. All of this stuff is in here. What do you think we should do?"
Tong Ruo walked over and rummaged through the boxes, "Don't worry, Xiaoxiao has already entrusted me with handling these. We can just burn these letters."
As she spoke, Tong Ruo summoned Shen Yu's Delphox to help her play with fire, "After these are all burnt, I'll issue a public announcement in the name of the school to warn them."
With that, Tong Ruo finished burning one box and reached for the second, "Hmm, what's in here? It doesn't feel like letters."
Shen Yu looked at the box that had caused her such mental distress, lowered her head, and mumbled, "You can open it and see for yourself."
Tong Ruo listened, reached out, and opened the box. Looking at the messy contents inside, even she was shocked, "There are such disgusting people. Don't worry, I'll help you deal with this properly."
With that, Tong Ruo resealed the box and sat on it, "I'll accept these things even before they're opened. Call me if anything like this happens again."
Having diligently dealt with all the unwelcome items, Tong Ruo looked at Shen Yu, "Is there anything else? If not, I'll be going."
Shen Yu thought for a moment, "Yes, Ruo-jie. I'd like to request a long leave of absence."
