Xia Huna, or "Hu Nao" as he was affectionately called, enjoyed Shen Yu's impromptu fashion show in the cabin. Little Yu'er finally obtained the Milotic she'd longed for, making the sea voyage quite a success. It was indeed cause for celebration.
However, the enjoyable escapade had to end, and Xia Huna, having been caught, had no choice but to depart with his companions. It wouldn't do to stay.
Little Yu'er was heartbroken at the news of Xia Huna's departure. But her tears quickly dried when Xia Huna promised she could bring her Vaporeon and Milotic to visit him in Liuling or Jinghai sometime. The little girl then enthusiastically bid farewell to Xia Huna and his group, prompting Xia Huna to muse, "Girls' fickleness is truly in their nature."
They returned to Liuling Pokémon University by plane. Looking at the campus gates, Xia Huna sighed, "So many things have changed, yet the people remain."
Tong Ru punched the armrest of his wheelchair. "What right do you have to say that? As if you've been through so much. Anyway, Xiao Xiao and I have some matters to attend to. You two can entertain yourselves."
With that, Tong Ru, dragging a reluctant Zheng Xiao Xiao along, left. Xia Huna gazed at the setting sun. "The sky isn't even dark yet..."
Shen Yu pushed Xia Huna's wheelchair. "Let's go. Show me your place. I've never seen your room before."
Xia Huna looked up. "Really? Didn't you go to Biyu City with Sister Xiao Xiao and the others? Weren't you supposed to meet up at Liuling?"
"No, my two older sisters took me directly from home. Hurry, let me see what your room at Liuling University looks like. Are there any 'inappropriate' things in there?"
"What 'inappropriate' things could there be? If I have you, why would I need anything else?"
"Are you trying to die? Hurry up and go."
Xia Huna and Shen Yu arrived at the entrance of Xia Huna's small apartment at Liuling University. Xia Huna stopped at the door, refusing to open it. Shen Yu stared at him. "So, you *do* have something to hide, don't you? Otherwise, why wouldn't you open the door?"
Xia Huna blinked awkwardly. "Uh, the key is gone. Sister Meng broke it, and I can't even find the dust anymore..."
"You only have one key?"
"Would you carry multiple house keys around with you?"
They stood there at the door. Fortunately, Zheng Xiao Xiao, who lived next door, saw them from her balcony. "What are you two doing outside the door? Admiring the mosquitoes?"
Xia Huna waved. "Sister Ru, my key is gone. Do you have any ideas?"
Zheng Xiao Xiao, from a distance, tossed a key over. It landed in Xia Huna's yard, hanging from a small tree.
"Sister Xiao Xiao, you're something else."
Xia Huna released Shedinja, and after much explanation, managed to get the Shedinja to understand its task. Shedinja floated into the yard, retrieved the key, then floated back out and handed it to Xia Huna. Finally obtaining the key, Xia Huna opened the door. "Xiao Yu, we're home."
Opening the door to his room, Xia Huna noticed it wasn't very dusty; in fact, it looked like it had been cleaned recently. "It must be Sister Xiao Xiao. Sister Xiao Xiao is so good to me, cleaning my place while I was away."
He steered his wheelchair to the bottom of the stairs, and both of them froze. How was the wheelchair supposed to get upstairs? Fortunately, Xia Huna was prepared. He pulled a pair of crutches from his wheelchair.
"I always thought I wouldn't need these..."
But then, Xia Huna realized a problem: how was he supposed to ascend the stairs with crutches?
Xia Huna's current condition was that his legs were completely unusable, but everything else was generally fine. His recovery rate had exceeded his expectations. According to his and the system's latest estimates, Xia Huna would be able to stand by mid-September at the latest, though he wouldn't be able to engage in strenuous activity. But what about now? His legs were still weak, completely incapable of supporting him with crutches. He couldn't exactly prop himself up under his armpits with the crutches.
Xia Huna, belatedly realizing this, smacked his forehead. "There are other ways."
Although his legs hadn't recovered, Xia Huna had already healed his hip bone in order to use the wheelchair. He could manage to climb by pushing off the stairs with his hands. However, in the end, with Shen Yu's assistance, Xia Huna opted to use a single crutch to ascend.
He reached his bedroom door and pushed it open, shouting, "I'm back!"
A red shadow darted out of the room. Upon seeing Xia Huna, its first words were, "Who's the yokai? Eat my Rotomoto!"
Xia Huna looked at Rotom, who was being theatrical right in front of him. "Did you sneak another peek at the TV shows on my laptop again? But this time, you've improved. You didn't build a pyramid in the house."
As soon as he said that, Xia Huna realized Rotom was watching Journey to the West. Where in Journey to the West were there pyramids? The first scenic spot was the Water Curtain Cave.
"I'm saying, you didn't try to build a Water Curtain Cave and get stopped, did you?"
His secret revealed by Xia Huna's sharp observation, Rotom directly hid inside the Pokédex.
"I knew you couldn't sit still. I was gone for so long, and not only did you not starve, but you had the leisure to build a Water Curtain Cave?"
The Rotom Pokédex floated to Xia Huna's bedside table and picked up a charging cable...
Yes, the sight was astonishing. Rotom could pick up a charging cable. Generally, Pokémon like Rotom moved things using electromagnetic fields. For Xia Huna's Rotom Pokédex to have grown a hand was truly unprecedented.
Xia Huna spun his wheelchair over and grabbed Rotom's hand. "How did you manage this?"
Rotom, quite proud of its evolution, explained the entire process to Xia Huna and Shen Yu.
Previously, the Rotom Pokédex had run out of power. Rotom had come to charge itself, but the charging cable was flexible. No matter how Rotom tried to control it, due to the angle, it couldn't plug it in. So, Rotom simply used its electricity to form a hand, grabbed the charging cable, and plugged itself in.
Through repeated use, the hand eventually evolved. Rotom also used this hand to open Xia Huna's laptop and watch Journey to the West.
Xia Huna examined Rotom's structure. "Rotom, why did you only grow one hand? Doesn't it feel unbalanced to float around with just one hand?"
Shen Yu also came over and touched Rotom's electronic hand. It felt tingly and quite comfortable.
Rotom swung its electronic hand. "It's fine. I can just manifest this hand when I need it, and retract it when I don't. As for balance, I can't help it; I can't manifest a second hand."
Xia Huna was puzzled. It had already created one hand, so why couldn't it create another?
Xia Huna decided to ask the system. The system's explanation was that Rotom's level was insufficient...
"You expect a Rotom at a single-digit level to manifest two hands? Are you kidding me?"
Xia Huna stroked his chin. "Hmm, that makes sense. So, when will Rotom be able to manifest two hands? It won't take until level 100, will it? That's ridiculous."
The system's conclusion was one hand per ten levels. This meant Rotom could manifest an electronic hand approximately every ten levels it gained.
Xia Huna imagined Rotom floating out with ten electronic hands. He smacked his lips. "Doesn't that make it like the Thousand-Armed Guanyin?"
As he was contemplating the Thousand-Armed Guanyin, Xia Huna suddenly heard an alarm clock ringing in the room. Upon hearing the sound, Rotom immediately floated out of the room. Not long after, Rotom returned, carrying a plate.
Looking at the steaming hamburger on the plate and the iced cola with a straw, Xia Huna blinked. "Rotom, what new ability is this?"
Rotom swung its electronic hand. "Learned to cook by myself, Roto."
Although Rotom had learned to cook, it could only use the microwave to heat things like hamburgers. Anything more complex was beyond its capabilities. However, for Xia Huna's current needs, this ability was perfect.
Xia Huna picked up a hamburger and took a bite. "Rotom, excellent cooking."
Rotom swirled in the air. "My cooking is very good, Roto."
Shen Yu gave Rotom a thumbs-up. "Rotom is amazing!"
Slightly puffed up by the praise, Rotom, while Xia Huna ate, showcased its other talents, such as performing a street dance with its single electronic hand.
Xia Huna looked at his laptop. "Rotom, you learned all this from my laptop, didn't you?"
Rotom nodded. "Of course. Didn't you say before that one must continuously learn and enrich oneself? That's what a good Pokémon of the new era is."
Shen Yu turned to look at Xia Huna, finding it hard to believe he would say such a thing. Xia Huna seemed hurt by her doubtful gaze. He reached out and wrapped his arm around Shen Yu's waist. "Xiao Yu, how could you doubt me? You'll be punished."
Shen Yu clasped Xia Huna's hand. "Stop fooling around. It's still early. Rotom, do you have any other special skills?"
Rotom retrieved three ping pong balls from the bedside and started juggling them. Despite having only one electronic hand, Rotom's ping pong juggling skills were outstanding.
Watching Rotom, who seemed to be breaking species barriers, Xia Huna applauded. "Is this the legendary, Rotom Plus? No, this isn't Rotom Plus. This is Rotom Max, this is Rotom Zeus!"
Hearing Xia Huna mention "Zeus," Rotom floated over and asked, "What is Zeus? What does it have to do with me?"
Xia Huna explained, "Zeus is a transliteration of the names Arceus and Zeus. What I mean is, if you continue to develop like this, Rotom, you will be the most versatile Rotom. Your status among Rotom will be like Arceus's status among Pokémon!"
Rotom pondered for a moment, then became delighted. "Zeus, Zeus! I am Rotom Zeus!"
