Chapter 230: Clash With Gods (2)
Seraphina lifted her staff, her aura blazing brighter than it ever had. She summoned shields of pure spirit light, wrapping the Eternal Tree and its branches in barriers that repelled the angelic hymns and demonic curses. Her voice carried across the battlefield, clear and commanding.
"You will not touch him!"
Igaris also finally rose to his feet, stepping forward to the edge of the branch. His body glowed with the radiance of his nearing ascension, his aura bending dimensions around him. His voice rang across the armies.
"Then come. Come with all your legions, your faith, your despair, your godhood. Bring everything you have to offer."
He raised his hand, fingers tightening into a claw. Behind him, his Doppelgangers began forming—one after another, a limitless tide of Igaris, each wielding a fraction of his infinite techniques. His Space-Time Domain expanded, warping the battlefield, bending distance so that enemies who thought themselves safe found themselves inches from his killing intent.
The first angel descended, spear thrust like lightning. Igaris met it with the World Destroying Finger, the beam of ruin shattering the weapon and the body behind it. A shockwave tore through the legions, unraveling hundreds more.
From below, demons hurled molten chains toward him. With a flick of his hand, Igaris invoked Kinetic Redirection, the chains snapping back toward their senders, wrapping their titanic bodies in their own weapons before his Doppelgangers finished them with blades of Genesis Flame.
The Archangel screeched in defiance, gathering the hymns of thousands into one radiant blast, enough to scour an entire cosmos. Igaris answered by invoking Yin-Yang Reversal. Light became darkness, harmony became discord, and the hymn that was meant to cleanse became the dirge that tore apart the angel’s own ranks.
The Demon God moved then, stepping fully into reality. Each stride distorted laws, each motion carrying the weight of a concept older than creation. Its laughter was endless.
"Igaris Vance. Even your defiance will be mine to consume."
Igaris’s eyes narrowed. "You can try."
"Boom, Boooom. BOOOOOOM!"
The battlefield was chaos incarnate.
Doppelgangers of Igaris swarmed the void, each wielding flames of nuclear fire, blades of godslaying steel, and spells that bent time. They crashed into the angelic legions, tearing through golden wings and hymns with precision. Each time an angel fell, two more descended, their radiant blood painting streaks of light across the darkness of space.
Below, demons howled as they climbed upward, vomiting rivers of abyssal flame. They were met by Seraphina, her spirit aura sweeping like a tidal wave of light. Every sweep of her blade severed corruption, purging dozens of fiends at once. Behind her, spirit beasts awakened by her call joined the defense, their innocent roars ringing defiantly against the tide of despair.
The clash was a storm of heaven and hell. Yet, through it all, Igaris stood at the center, unmoved, his aura growing heavier with each passing breath.
Then, the void trembled again.
The Demon God’s laughter deepened, each rumble shaking galaxies. Its voice dripped with malice as it raised its colossal hand. "You may fight angels. You may slaughter demons. But against me, boy, you are nothing. Do you not see? These Seven once broke the back of creation itself for me. Their sins were my chains, and their power my blade. You cannot resist what is already mine."
The words coiled across the battlefield like a curse. Even the angels hesitated, their wings faltering as the truth of the Seven Sins returned to memory.
But Igaris did not answer with words.
He lifted his hand.
From within his domain, seven titanic shadows stirred, each aura more suffocating than the armies of heaven and hell combined. The cosmos itself recoiled, stars dimming, nebulas folding into silence. Even the Demon God faltered, its laughter stuttering into silence as seven sovereign presences stepped forward.
Chains rattled first. From the void emerged Azgorth, Lord of Despair, dragging screaming souls in endless bindings, his hollow eyes eroding the courage of gods and angels alike. Hope itself withered in his wake.
Wings unfurled next. Belmira, Lady of Temptation, her ruby eyes smoldering, black roses blooming and bleeding wherever her steps touched the void. Even archangels lowered their weapons, dazed by her intoxicating beauty.
A quake followed. Droskar, Lord of Ruin, armored in collapsed stars, his molten great-axe dragging sparks across the abyss. With every step, constellations shattered like fragile glass.
Chittering drowned the silence. Nhyzra, Lord of Plagues, a shifting swarm of a million insects, their buzzing like whispers in a dead man’s ear. Angel wings blackened, divine flesh rotted, merely at his passage.
A heartbeat thundered. Veythos, Lord of Hatred, his burning blood spraying into space, each pulse a wave of rage that infected armies. Demons and angels alike screamed, consumed by battle lust not their own. His roar shredded the stars.
Then came silence. Absolute. Zarkon, Lord of Oblivion, faceless and cloaked, stepping forward. Where he walked, existence unmade itself. Light vanished. Memory itself bled away. Even the Gods blinked in confusion, forgetting their own incantations under his presence.
Finally, the eldest arrived. Ithrael, Lord of Dominion, crowned in black fire, holding his scepter of fallen worlds. His gaze alone bent reality. His voice was low, heavy, unshakable. "Kneel."
Entire legions of demons collapsed to their knees, unable to resist. Even angels staggered, wings folding despite themselves.
The Seven Demon Lords. The same horrors who once shattered realms in the Demon God’s name.
Now standing at Igaris’s side.
The abyss shook. The Demon God recoiled, its voice cracking for the first time since eternity began.
"...You... you dare...? They were mine! They are my essence, my pawns, my chains! How—how do they stand against me?"
Igaris’s Architect’s Eyes glowed, galaxies collapsing in their reflection. His voice was calm, unyielding.
"Because chains can be broken. Pawns can become kings. And they have chosen."
Azgorth raised his chained hands, a tidal wave of despair rolling outward.
Belmira’s laughter echoed, enslaving the minds of entire angelic battalions.
Droskar’s axe cleaved through divine light, sundering faith-forged legions.
Nhyzra’s plagues devoured wings, armor, and flesh.
Veythos spread his hatred, corrupting divine songs into screams.
Zarkon stepped once, and entire stars ceased to exist.
And Ithrael raised his scepter, his command binding heaven’s hosts to stillness.
The Seven Demon Lords, once feared as the abyss’s greatest weapons, now turned their might upon their former master.
The cosmos trembled. Even the Gods of Mythraldor felt the chill of inevitability.
---
The battle erupted.
Seraphina stood at the forefront, her emerald hair burning with divine light. Having reclaimed her full powers from the Eternal Tree, she radiated the essence of nature itself. The Spirit Queen unleashed torrents of celestial flame and rejuvenating storms. Every flick of her hand birthed forests of radiant wood that devoured angelic constructs, or summoned torrents of pure spirit fire that reduced demonic hordes to ash. The Eternal Tree pulsed behind her, its roots spreading across dimensions, fueling her every spell.
"I will not forgive either side," she declared, her voice shaking the battlefield. "Gods who betrayed the innocent, demons who preyed upon despair—your age ends here."
Beside her, Igaris unleashed his ascended might. His body glowed with divine liquid coursing through his veins, reshaping him into something beyond God Rank. Space and time warped around him as he extended his hand, summoning his arsenal of powers.
Soul Eclipse spread across the field, shrouding everything in a twilight where even angels lost their clarity of mind. The World Destroying Finger ripped apart angelic formations, collapsing entire swathes of heaven into fragments. His Limitless Doppelgangers surged forward like an army of himself, each wielding fragments of his terrifying might. The Ancient Titan Transformation cloaked him in a colossal form, his fists shattering legions like insects.
When angelic blades sought to strike him, they bent under Kinetic Redirection, only to be hurled back into the throats of their wielders. Infernal Tornadoes swallowed squadrons of demons, lightning shells split armies, and the Godslayer Sword Style carved through even high Seraphim.
Yet the true horror of Igaris was his mastery of Laws and Concepts. Fire Law turned the skies into an ocean of crimson flames that eclipsed suns. Genesis Law remade the battlefield, birthing continents mid-battle only to crush armies beneath them. Ruination Law unraveled the fabric of angelic faith, their wings crumbling into dust as their prayers were denied.
And when the tide surged too heavily, when even gods and demons attempted to overwhelm him, Igaris invoked the Taboo Concept: Yin-Yang Reversal. Balance inverted, faith turning to despair, despair transforming into faith. The energy of their armies flowed back to him, empowering him while their legions fell hollow.
The Gods of Mythraldor descended from their thrones, cloaked in divine radiance, each bearing a mantle of authority that once bent universes. They combined their judgment into spears of pure law, striking down like falling stars. The Demon God roared, his colossal hand blotting out eternity as he reached to crush the Eternal Tree.
But Seraphina intercepted, her Spirit Queen form blazing. "You will not touch it!" she cried, summoning a colossal dragon of emerald flame that bit into the Demon God’s hand, forcing him back.
Igaris, standing upon the Titan form, met the strike of the Gods’ divine spears head-on. The Architect’s Eyes flared, predicting their every movement, unraveling their divine formations before they could strike true. With a roar that shook dimensions, he thrust forward the World Destroying Finger once more, piercing through three of the Gods at once, their divine vessels crumbling into motes of broken faith.
The battlefield was chaos incarnate: angels shattered into light, demons reduced to screams, entire dimensions collapsing under the sheer force of clashing laws. And yet, amidst it all, Seraphina found herself gazing at Igaris with awe. He was no longer just the stranger who freed her, nor simply the companion from their past life. He was the fulcrum upon which fate itself now turned.
And together, Spirit Queen and Dimensional Sovereign advanced, their power shaking the thrones of heaven and hell alike.
The Gods and the Demon God screamed in fury as their authority wavered. The Seven Demon Lords, once the harbingers of destruction, now fought under Igaris’s command, tearing into their former master’s ranks.
The war of cosmos had begun, but already the balance tilted.
For the first time in eternity, the Gods and the Demon God trembled.
