San Tian Liang Jue
Chapter 644 A Date (Part 2)
“And all I see on your face is unsavory coffee stains.” Ruoyu said, reaching out with a napkin to wipe Jue-ge’s left cheek.
“Ah, thanks.” Feng Bujue responded, keeping his head still.
“Don’t get the wrong idea.” Ruoyu continued expressionlessly, “I just noticed that after I splashed coffee on you, a lot of people were looking over here, so I’m just putting on a show so you can save face.”
“Oh… that? You’re overthinking it.” Feng Bujue smiled. “Actually, from the moment we walked into this place, a lot of people have been looking over here. It’s all because of how you look; it has nothing to do with you splashing coffee on me.”
“I’m so sorry for looking like this…” Ruoyu said, retracting her hand.
“It’s not just your looks; it’s also your figure…” Feng Bujue chuckled, letting his gaze drift downwards.
“Do you get some kind of thrill from staring at me like this through my clothes every day?” Ruoyu glared at Jue-ge.
“I do get a thrill.” Feng Bujue joked. “But… judging by your tone, do you have any ‘more thrilling’ ideas?”
“I do.” Ruoyu replied, “Stabbing out your eyes, chemical castration… those are all pretty good ideas, right?”
Hearing this, Feng Bujue’s smile deepened: “Heh… have you noticed that you sound a lot like me right now?”
“Heh… what a joke, how could I…” Ruoyu’s expression faltered as she spoke because she suddenly realized that the tone of that sentence sounded very much like Jue-ge.
“See?” Feng Bujue shrugged. “I noticed it in the script the other day… When you used to argue with me, although your wording was sharp, your momentum was somewhat lacking; but now… you’re truly sharp-tongued and aggressive.” He leaned back in his chair. “And you only act like this when you’re talking to me, or when we’re alone together.”
Before he finished speaking, Ruoyu fell silent.
A full minute later…
“Waiter!” Ruoyu suddenly turned her head and called out to the nearest waiter.
The waiter was a young man in his early twenties, and he had long since noticed the two crazy people at this table… one with a smile on his face, the other with a cold expression, chatting, splashing coffee, and after the splash, both of them were still as calm as ever, talking and laughing…
“Can I help you wit…” The young man walked over quickly and said in a standardized manner.
But Ruoyu interrupted him rather rudely: “Please bring two more of the same, thank you.” Her speech was very fast, and she sounded slightly resentful.
“Okay.” The waiter responded and removed their cups as quickly as possible and retreated.
“Heh…” Jue-ge glanced at the waiter who had been scared away, then turned to look at Ruoyu and smiled, “Looks like… someone is embarrassed into anger.”
“Can’t argue with that.” Ruoyu said in a low voice, “A bit depressed.”
“Compared to depressed…” Feng Bujue said, “It’s mostly shame…”
“The coffee’s going to be hot when it comes.” Ruoyu glared at Jue-ge with a displeased look on her face. “So you better restrain the excited glint in your eyes.”
“Sure~” Jue-ge changed his expression instantly, immediately switching to his usual listless look, “I won’t mention this again, just be careful yourself… Of course, if you can’t change it, I don’t mind either.”
“Hmph…” Ruoyu didn’t respond, just sighed unhappily.
Due to her annoyance, a touch of blush crept onto her fair face.
In the real world, Jue-ge was seeing this scene for the first time. To be fair, Li Ruoyu’s appearance, whether in the eyes of a lover, an enemy, or even a eunuch… was undeniably beautiful.
“Hoo…” After another period of silence, Ruoyu seemed to have made up her mind, taking a deep breath and then saying in a deep voice, “After dinner tonight, don’t leave yet; come home with me…”
Not to mention how Feng Bujue reacted, as Ruoyu said this, the waiter from earlier happened to be walking to their table with the coffee.
“Here’s your coffee.” The young man’s expression and movements were obviously a bit stiff. He quickly placed the two new cups of coffee down and then quickly disappeared, as if he had heard something he shouldn’t have.
“Come… home with you?” Feng Bujue replied, pretending to be calm. As he spoke, he pretended to be relaxed and casual, reaching out to take a cup of coffee in front of him, but his slightly trembling hands caused a high-frequency ringing sound between the bottom of the cup and the saucer, instantly exposing the turmoil in his heart.
“There’s something… I want to give you.” Ruoyu had completely regained her composure at this time.
“Uh…” Jue-ge held the coffee, not moving for a long time, “Your parents don’t mind, do they?”
“What does it have to do with them?” Ruoyu replied, “Besides, my room isn’t even on the same floor as theirs. If you sneak up with me, they probably won’t even know you’ve been here.”
“Something that can only be seen in your room…” Cold sweat dripped down Jue-ge’s face.
“Yes.” Ruoyu responded calmly.
Hearing this, Feng Bujue froze for another ten seconds, then used his trembling hand to take a sip of coffee: “Can I ask… what is it…”
Something flashed in Ruoyu’s eyes: “It’s not convenient…” A hint of shyness flashed through her cold tone, “to say it here…”
“Hey!” Feng Bujue roared in his heart, “What’s going on! This doesn’t seem like acting… From being teased by me to saying ‘come home with me,’ what kind of psychological activities did you go through!”
On the other side, Ruoyu’s words continued: “Well… strictly speaking, it was originally your thing, and I’ve been keeping it for you for many years. I think it’s time to give it to you…”
“Pfft—” Feng Bujue directly spat out a mouthful of coffee, fortunately, he didn’t spit it on Li Ruoyu’s face, but on the floor beside him.
“Hey… what are you doing…” Ruoyu said, squinting.
“Uh cough… ah cough cough… cough cough…” Feng Bujue really choked. He coughed violently for a while, then gasped for breath and said, “No… nothing…” He paused for a moment, “Speaking of… why did you suddenly think of giving me… that…”
“It can’t be said that I suddenly thought of it.” Ruoyu said, “I wanted to give it to you many years ago, but I never had the chance. When I first met you in Thriller Paradise, I also had the urge to give it to you directly, but after hesitating a little, I dragged it out until now.”
From beginning to end, she spoke in a very ordinary tone… but Feng Bujue was completely shocked.
“Heh… hehe…” Jue-ge’s mouth twitched, and he laughed dryly a few times. “Okay… since you have this kind of awareness, then I’ll play along to the end…”
