Chapter 351: Chapter 351: To Be Together, Leaving the Morgan Family 1

Chloe Grant sat on the sofa with her father and mother, none of the three spoke.

Vann Stern sat close to Chloe, while Alex Grant sat alone on the adjacent armchair.

Sitting very straight, he still possessed the dignity of a father.

"Don’t stay angry, your father hasn’t been feeling well these past few days either," Vann Stern said softly while tidying Chloe’s hair.

Chloe did not answer, she just lowered her head.

It wasn’t that she was angry, she just... felt a chill in her heart.

"If there’s still any discomfort, just say it. Go to the hospital and make sure nothing serious is left behind," Alex Grant coughed deliberately, then awkwardly uttered this sentence.

Chloe kept her head down.

She wasn’t sure how to respond, Vann Stern next to her nudged her, reminding her to respond a little.

There aren’t lasting grudges between father and daughter; the father has already lowered his head, the daughter shouldn’t remain stubborn.

"Oh... I understand..." Chloe replied softly.

After that, the three of them didn’t say much more.

Later on, Sophia Fraser and her parents arrived as well.

Sophia was very happy to see Chloe, "I thought you weren’t coming back."

She quietly leaned close to Chloe, "I was so nervous the whole way."

While speaking, Sophia glanced around the room, clearly looking for someone.

"Sophia, who are you looking for with those eyes?" Isabella Gray teased directly.

Sophia’s face turned red immediately, "I...I wasn’t..."

She lowered her head, nervously clutching her hands, speaking in a small voice, "I was just talking to Chloe."

Isabella laughed, not teasing further, but still replied, "I just called Matthew, and he’s already on his way back."

"Madam, may the dinner start?" the butler walked over to inquire.

Isabella turned to look at Sophia’s parents, both nodded, Isabella turned back and nodded to the butler.

"Come, everyone, take your seats," Isabella gestured for everyone to sit.

Not long after, Matthew Morgan and Lucas Morgan walked in together.

Isabella had deliberately arranged the seat next to Sophia for Matthew.

Lucas naturally sat beside Chloe.

"Is there anywhere you’re still feeling unwell?" Lucas asked softly as soon as he sat down.

The previous check-up reports showed nothing wrong, but Lucas was still somewhat worried.

Every day, the first thing he asked Chloe was about her health condition.

Chloe was actually sneaking glances at Matthew, and hearing Lucas’ words, she lowered her eyes and answered, "I’m fine."

...

The atmosphere at the dinner was still rather congenial.

Lucas kept serving food to Chloe, after all, she was his little niece, so no one at the table said anything.

However, Chloe sneaked glances at Matthew several times during the meal.

He was still the same, not much of a talker, cold and indifferent, yet strikingly cool.

It seemed like Sophia was talking to him, but Chloe didn’t see much interaction between the two.

After the dinner, Isabella saw off the Fraser family.

Chloe, her parents, and Lucas all sat on the living room sofa.

Mr. Morgan was also present.

The atmosphere was somewhat serious.

"Actually, the main reason I came today is because there’s something else..." Alex Grant began to speak only after Isabella returned, "In fact, Chloe’s mother and I divorced when Chloe was five..."
