Chapter 129: 126, War God Alliance (Please subscribe to monthly tickets)

The Starship slowly descended, stirring up a cloud of dust. The exit hatch directly faced a passage leading outside.

Outside the passage, groups of young people resembling college students were setting up small tables, waiting in high spirits for the passengers who would soon emerge. Next to them was an array of posters, each with their respective school emblem and welcoming slogans.

Every June, such scenes occurred outside the three major air transportation airports of Alien. Each university and company received students making their first visit to Alien. The universities naturally aimed to help freshmen become familiar with the environment and way of life on Alien as soon as possible. Companies, on the other hand, needed to find promising recruits to store fresh blood for their development.

Among the many recruitment stations outside Boppu Air Cargo Airport, three were the largest: The Iron Blood University recruitment point, the Deep Space Bank recruitment point, and, new to Lu Lin, the War God Alliance recruitment point.

Lu Lin had done some research online beforehand and knew that due to the existence of the Exotic Battlefield, humans had to band together to survive there. Universities, companies, and the Federation were all absorbing many new students each year. Among them, companies had the highest demand for freshmen. For ordinary students, they offered monthly financial support ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 Federal Coins to cover their academics and equipment purchases. After graduation, when these students entered the Exotic Battlefield, those who had signed agreements were obliged to sell their harvested star beast materials, related maps, and any new discoveries to these companies. Of course, the prices offered were guaranteed to be fair to the supported students. Thus, with students graduating and new ones joining each year, a stable, virtuous cycle formed within these large enterprises.

Lu Lin had known this since high school, so he wasn’t too worried about his family’s debt. As long as his Awakening was successful and he could become a Star Core Warrior, paying off his family’s loan would just be a matter of time.

But looking at the War God Alliance recruitment point beside him, Lu Lin felt somewhat bewildered. Did such an organization even exist in the Federation?

Lu Lin dragged his suitcase over and checked their recruitment conditions.

[1. Recent high school graduates]

[2. Talent with special attributes]

[3. Initial refinement level not lower than 0.95%]

[4. ...]

Seeing this, Lu Lin exclaimed inwardly, What high standards!

This 0.95% initial refinement level requirement was no less stringent than that of Iron Blood College. Can’t mess with them, can’t mess with them.

Just as Lu Lin turned to leave, he glimpsed the additional requirements below.

[Outstanding talents from the four major professions are all welcome—the more, the merrier!]

[The War God Alliance provides its members a monthly subsidy of at least 50 Star Coins.]

[Numerous benefits! For more details on remuneration, please consult our staff.]

50 Star Coins? What are Star Coins? Lu Lin realized he was out of touch again.

Fortunately, after listening in on someone else’s explanation, Lu Lin soon understood. Star Coins were a currency mainly circulated among Star Core Warriors, or rather, on Alien and the Exotic Battlefield. To prevent Star Core Warriors from disrupting the economic order of ordinary people, the Federation had introduced Star Coins, the universal currency used on the Exotic Battlefield. Star Coins were made by Titled Kings; anyone below the King level could not damage them. For over a thousand years, Star Coins had stabilized the economic interests and income of Federal Star Core Warriors.

One Star Coin could be exchanged for 10,000 Federal Coins. So, 50 Star Coins meant a net income of 500,000 Federal Coins each month.

Lu Lin felt the War God Alliance was definitely worth joining. It’s not for a few Star Coins; I purely like the feeling of interacting with exceptional people.

After waiting in line for a short while, Lu Lin’s turn came.

"Hello, I’m a Star Guide. This is my Star Guide number." Lu Lin’s qualifications weren’t high enough for other categories, so he could only apply to join as a Star Guide.

"Alright, please wait a moment." The receptionist was an ordinary-looking woman who spoke in a very crisp and efficient manner. She entered Lu Lin’s Star Guide number into her Personal Terminal, and after checking the result, she couldn’t help but look up at Lu Lin with curiosity.

Officially becoming a Star Guide less than a month after his Awakening. Although a few such individuals appeared each year, they were definitely as rare as a phoenix feather, geniuses among geniuses.

"Alright, I’ve submitted your information. Within the next three days, you’ll receive a message instructing you to go to the War God Alliance branch in your city for a Second Certification."

"Here’s a small gift for you, Student Lu Lin. Please accept it." The girl handed Lu Lin a paper bag. It felt heavy, and Lu Lin didn’t know what was inside.

"Thank you."

Lu Lin turned, left, and opened the paper bag to look inside. There was a small booklet titled ’500 Questions on Alien Star Common Sense’. However, when Lu Lin flipped through it, he found only a basic introduction to the War God Alliance. To access the actual content, he needed to scan a QR code and log in to the official War God Alliance website to claim it.

Additionally, the bag contained a mottled black and white token, engraved with the word ’War’. The receptionist had mentioned that although Lu Lin still needed to undergo a Second Certification, his status as a Star Guide clearly meant he was already a reserve member of the alliance.

The other two items, however, truly surprised Lu Lin.

One was a close-fitting soft armor, styled like a compression sports shirt, but it felt much heavier in his hands. This soft armor was made of high-polymer nanomaterials. Even the cheapest, lowest-grade version would cost at least a million Federal Coins. Yet the War God Alliance had given it away so casually.

The other was an ordinary battle knife, an F-Level Alloy Warsword, with a market price of at least 200,000 Federal Coins.

These two items alone made Lu Lin marvel at the immense wealth of the War God Alliance.

Of course, he hadn’t joined the War God Alliance for these trinkets. He just wanted to communicate, exchange ideas with exceptional talents, and experience that collision of thoughts.

Carrying the bag from the War God Alliance, Lu Lin headed to the Iron Blood College recruitment point. Although Iron Blood College’s enrollment standards were incredibly high, a large number of students still poured in from various planets each year. Iron Blood College had therefore set up ten reception channels, but the lines were still long. Boppu Air Cargo Airport wasn’t just receiving the C0977 Starship; other Starships were arriving too.

In the crowd, Lu Lin spotted Feng Yuanyu and his six companions again. However, only Feng Yuanyu himself had come to register for Iron Blood University; the others were waiting for him nearby.

Feng Yuanyu also saw Lu Lin and was slightly surprised. Unexpectedly, Lu Lin is also a student of Iron Blood College. This makes him more difficult to deal with.

The East Forest Club, while not small, hardly ranked among the major powers on Saturn. Not to mention... Lu Lin was holding a War God Alliance bag. The War God Alliance, after all, only recruited individuals with special Talents and an initial refinement level of 0.95% or higher. Although Feng Yuanyu’s refinement level met the standard, his Talent wasn’t a special attribute.

After registering his information, Feng Yuanyu didn’t rejoin his companions immediately. Instead, he stood not far from the registration desk, wanting to gain a deeper understanding of Lu Lin’s capabilities. If Lu Lin was indeed too strong, Feng Yuanyu considered reconciling with him.

As one of the few ’sages’ in his large family, Feng Yuanyu didn’t mind bowing to someone stronger. Back then, his elders hadn’t been reckless on Alien either.

A person should be firm when necessary and yield when appropriate. Whether being firm or yielding, both were forms of survival wisdom to achieve one’s goals.
