Chapter 1255: Part 2: Misery

Chapter 1255: Part 2: Misery

From MC’s Perspective:

On the fighting platform, my injuries were getting worse. Issac was not giving me a chance to breathe. His flaming metal chain continued to land on me.

Boom!

One after another, explosions caused burnt injuries to appear on my body. I was using the healing force to heal the wounds.

Issac was enjoying the duel. If he had wanted, he could have ended it in a short period. But he was enjoying the fight right now.

Viewing Block 2:

The Main Elders were watching the duel. Austin didn’t know what to say. He understood that Zack had decided to lose.

He was no longer interested in watching the duel. He wanted to leave. At the same time, the other Main Elders were perplexed.

The Elemental Faction’s Main Elders were doubting whether Zack Lockwood had Inheritance or not. If he did have Inheritance, then why was he not using it?

Everyone couldn’t help but look towards the Thunderflame Faction’s Main Elders.

Main Elder Ann felt everyone’s gazes. She sighed inwardly. She thought it would be better if Zack were sent to the warrior camp.

He wouldn’t be injured there, like he was deliberately letting himself get injured right now.

Main Elders Leola, Cathy, and Rosie were also present. They looked at each other’s faces, not knowing what to say.

Zack was not their disciple. If anyone wanted to remind that kid, it would have to be either Austin or Ann.

But they had already given him permission yesterday, including the Faction Leader Clifford. Yet Zack Lockwood had decided not to use the Inheritance force.

The audience was unusually quiet. The duel had been interesting, but now everyone was silent because the fight was starting to turn ugly.

Zack Lockwood was being brutally beaten. Members of the Thunderflame Faction had started leaving. As they did so, they couldn’t help but curse Zack Lockwood.

Meanwhile, other faction warriors were slandering Zack Lockwood and mocking the Thunderflame Faction.

For the first time, they had such an opportunity. Zack Lockwood had always been dominant. No one had ever seen him beaten this miserably before.

Now, Issac had broken Zack’s title as the dominant warrior. From here on, anyone could challenge and defeat Zack Lockwood.

As time passed, warriors from other factions began leaving the arena. Only the Blazing Fire Faction warriors remained.

This made other elemental faction warriors jealous. They wanted their own faction warriors to defeat Zack Lockwood in the coming days, so they could celebrate as well.

On the fighting platform, I was feeling unbearable pain. Issac was not giving me a chance to speak, so I decided to fake unconsciousness.

I collapsed on the ground the next second and closed my eyes. Issac’s metal chain still struck my back.

Boom!

The flame exploded upon successful contact. A deafening noise filled the air. My mouth was filled with blood.

The explosion left a terrible injury across my back.

Issac grinned. He hadn’t expected Zack to collapse. He thought Zack had fallen unconscious on the ground. But he was not satisfied.

He swung his flaming metal chain at Zack Lockwood.

Gasp!

A loud exclamation came from the crowd. They couldn’t believe what Issac was doing. The opponent was clearly unconscious.

At this moment, the duel should have been stopped. The inner hall elders were shocked. Issac’s actions might trigger faction fights.

Buzz!

Right then, the barrier began opening. The flaming metal chain, which was about to strike Zack Lockwood, was recalled by Issac at the last moment.

He could see the barrier opening, which meant the duel had ended. Issac’s face filled with disappointment.

Swoosh!

When the barrier came down, the old man referee quickly entered. He appeared before Zack and checked him.

He saw Zack Lockwood’s torn clothes. Burn injuries covered his body. The smell of burnt flesh and charcoal clung to him.

He thought Zack Lockwood needed treatment immediately. The old man then stood up, went to Issac’s side, and declared him the winner.

Cheers!

Loud cheers erupted in the arena, mostly from the Blazing Fire Faction warriors.

At the same time, the medic team rushed in. They placed Zack Lockwood on a stretcher and carried him away from the fighting platform.

Seeing this, everyone understood that the next duel might take time. Zack Lockwood was severely injured. It would take at least a week for him to recover.

Issac then left the platform with a victorious smile. The old man referee exited as well.

Seeing Issac leave, the Blazing Fire Faction warriors in the arena also began leaving.

Meanwhile,

The remaining Main Elders in the viewing block began walking out. Main Elder Austin and the others followed.

Everyone was silent. They had much to say, but they weren’t going to open their mouths here.

On the other hand, the Faction Leader Elmer broke his silence.

He said, “What’s going on with this kid? He’s not being himself.”

He was talking about Zack Lockwood. Old man Clifford heard him but didn’t respond. Clifford turned around and walked out.

Seeing this, Elmer was stunned. Now he suspected something was wrong with the Thunderflame Faction as well.

This was noticed by the two Bloodline Faction Leaders and the Dark Variant Faction Leader.

Francesa didn’t know what to say. She was worried about Zack. Zack was not only a bloodline warrior but also part of her clan.

She decided to check on him later.

The Dark Variant Faction Leader, Vince, had a smile on his face. Nobody knew why he was smiling. He silently left the room.

Then the two Bloodline Faction Leaders exited as well. Only Elmer was left behind. He should have been happy that Issac won.

But it was clear Issac hadn’t won because he dominated his opponent.

It was simply because Zack Lockwood had decided to lose.

Elmer collected his thoughts before leaving the room.

On the other hand, the staff were carrying me to the medic room. I abruptly got off the stretcher and stood before them.

The staff were dumbfounded.

Your gift is the motivation for my creation. Give me more motivation!
