Chapter 872 Supreme Containment - The Human Creator

Indeed, emerging from the giant's toes were humans!

Five men from the left foot, five women from the right, all hairless and unclothed, their eyes vacant and their bodies frail.

They were covered in a slightly fishy liquid, perhaps some kind of nutrient solution, or perhaps… amniotic fluid!

According to Wen Wen's observation, their physical condition resembled that of newborns, though there was a mix of ages among them.

After the ten individuals emerged, staff from the Hunter Association draped them in clothes and took them away.

These ten people offered no resistance, being easily escorted onto transport vehicles. An outsider witnessing this might mistake it for human trafficking.

The transport vehicles were parked on the east side of the giant, numbering in the hundreds. These were the vehicles that transported the piles of corpses here, and they would also carry away these newly 'created' humans.

Before the initial ten had even boarded, another ten emerged from the toes, seemingly without end.

It was hard to fathom how many humans this colossal body could gestate.

Wen Wen stared at the immense 'human,' his expression as dark as if water could drip from it.

From this scene alone, numerous dark and wild speculations flashed through his mind. However, he did not let those thoughts spiral, instead asking Sun Shanxing in a low voice:

"What is this thing?"

"Supreme Containment, Designation Zero Two… The Human Creator."

"Heh, you're saying humans were created by this thing?"

Wen Wen's tone was dismissive, yet he showed no contempt towards the giant before him. The designation 'Supreme Containment Zero Two' carried immense weight.

Normally, monsters captured by the Hunter Association, and contained entities, were referred to simply by their threat level and designation. The highest threat level was Cataclysmic.

However, when something exceeded the scope of Cataclysmic, it was designated 'Supreme Containment.'

And Zero Two indicated that this was the second containment of this level discovered by the Hunter Association.

Sun Shanxing shook his head. "Whether it is the origin of humanity, no one dares to say for sure. But according to the association's genetic and biological experts, everything about the humans it creates is identical to naturally born humans."

"They experience joy and sorrow, bleed and get injured. They can do everything humans can do, and some among them with higher inspiration even have a chance to awaken superpowers."

"In other words, they are just like us!"

Sun Shanxing lit a cigarette, sighing deeply.

"I wouldn't dare say all humans were created by it, nor would anyone else dare to say that. But at least more than half of humanity possesses the bloodline of humans created by it."

"At least half…"

"Half is a conservative estimate," Sun Shanxing added.

Wen Wen’s feelings were complicated, far more so than when he learned the Hunter Association could arbitrarily alter the memories of an entire city, or even a province.

Like most people in the Federation, he had believed humans evolved from apes. But now, that belief was wavering.

"Quite shocked, aren't you? I was just as shocked the first time I saw this behemoth."

Sun Shanxing blew a smoke ring.

"According to the association's archaeologists, Supreme Containment Zero Two has existed in this world for at least tens of thousands of years."

"Many primitive tribal ruins feature primitive worship similar to Supreme Containment Zero Two, at least proving that in that era, Supreme Containment Zero Two was the deity with universal faith."

"Many murals passed down through various sects today depict humans kneeling at the feet of a deity. The origin of this can be traced back to this entity."

After saying this, Sun Shanxing stopped explaining to Wen Wen.

His intention in showing Wen Wen Supreme Containment Zero Two was also to 'deter' the Black Cross organization, to display their strength.

By revealing that the Hunter Association possessed such powerful trump cards, and not just one of them, they could gain an advantage in future negotiations.

As the Vice President of the Hunter Association's Huafu branch, Sun Shanxing knew little about Supreme Containment Zero Two. Only Judicators and the heads of each branch had the right to fully understand containment entities of this level.

However, Sun Shanxing knew that the Hunter Association's control over Supreme Containment Zero Two was not strong. It did not exhibit obvious intelligence, yet it cooperated with the Hunter Association in certain aspects.

When there was a severe shortage of people in a particular area, the association's core would communicate with Supreme Containment Zero Two through some method, and then Supreme Containment Zero Two would appear in that vicinity in a way no one could understand, consume a large number of corpses, and then begin creating humans.

Supreme Containment Zero Two did not initiate combat, nor did it actively harm any life. However, if the attacks against it exceeded a certain limit, it would display completely unreasonable combat capabilities, utterly destroying all enemies.

Furthermore, consuming corpses was not for nourishment to create humans, but to fulfill some kind of ritual.

Ten humans after ten emerged from beneath Supreme Containment Zero Two's feet. Transport vehicles drove away one after another. This colossal being would continuously produce humans until enough were created to sustain regions affected by the undead scourge.

However, this also resolved Wen Wen’s confusion as to why, despite frequent major events causing immense human casualties, the overall human population never declined.

After an initial period of bewilderment, Wen Wen suddenly felt fortunate for his innate madness. At least with this, he could confirm that he was born to his parents, rather than manufactured by this entity.

Wen Wen could also roughly guess what the association would do with the humans being transported away in batches.

It would involve fabricating new memories based on the survivors' recollections, implanting them into these blank slate bodies, and allowing them to begin new lives.

Under the Hunter Association's operations, it would take at most a year or two for this place to return to how it was before.

After a moment of silence, Wen Wen asked Sun Shanxing, "Are there any hidden dangers with these manufactured humans?"

"There are some hidden dangers. They are, after all, newborns, and their memories are not as stable as normal humans. Therefore, a few individuals might risk memory collapse. Additionally, in the future, people in this region might experience large-scale memory deviation events."

"However, these are all within controllable limits and will not cause any major disturbances."

"That… is good."

Wen Wen sighed and left directly.

The spectacle of Supreme Containment Zero Two was indeed grand, so grand that it overwhelmed him, pushing his mood to the brink of depression, making it impossible for him to stay any longer.
