Chapter 1002 The Splendid Immortal Realm

The rickshaws entered the water, with powerful spotlights attached to the foreheads of Benbo'er and Ba'bo'er, and the two rickshaws began to speed forward in the darkness.

The sea beneath the ice possessed an indescribable sense of terror. As the depth increased, the dim light filtering through the ice disappeared, limiting the visible distance to only what the spotlights illuminated.

The water was filled with all sorts of tiny creatures. Occasionally, a terrifying-looking fish would swim past, causing Tao Qingqing to turn pale.

Wen Wen, however, was very excited. Everything here was fascinating, and this sensation of soaring through the deep sea was far more interesting than joining a tour group.

He could sense faint traces of marine life, but he had no idea what would appear in the spotlight next.

This lottery-like anticipation made Wen Wen find it quite amusing.

After descending to a certain depth, it became difficult to see normal creatures. There were creatures two to three meters long, resembling giant pig intestines, and ugly fish with pockmarked bodies and no eyes.

Wen Wen even saw a colossal squid, over ten meters long. This squid treated Wen Wen and his companions as prey, but before it could get close, Wen Wen had already stuffed it into the containment facility, freezing it solid.

"There are squids even at this depth? These things really love to dive. I wonder what a squid this size tastes like; it should have a good chew to it."

For ordinary people, squid meat of this size might be as tough as rubber, but for Wen Wen, it was just right.

After descending several hundred meters, Benbo'er and Ba'bo'er stopped their descent and rapidly advanced along the route provided by Wen Wen. Wen Wen could feel the immense water pressure on his shield, but the shield could easily withstand it.

Occasionally, Wen Wen could sense the underwater portions of icebergs. While the icebergs might only be tens of meters high above the water, their submerged parts were oppressively vast.

Suddenly, both Wen Wen and his companions heard a deep, yet immensely powerful sound. The call of a whale was as weak as a mosquito's compared to this sound. In this dim, illusionary environment, the sound sent shivers down their spines.

Benbo'er and Ba'bo'er trembled slightly, clearly fearful of whatever was making the sound.

"I don't know where this sound is coming from, but I can be sure that it's an unimaginably massive creature."

After several tens of seconds, the same sound came again. This time, Wen Wen tried to discern the meaning of the sound and his eyes widened, his hair standing on end.

It wasn't a roar, but merely the accidental snore of a sleeping entity. As Wen Wen tried to comprehend the sound, every pore on his body resisted.

It was the most primal fear, an instinct etched into human DNA. Somewhere in this vast ocean, an incomparably terrifying entity slumbered!

Wen Wen glanced back at the pitch-black yet boundless ocean, as if gazing into an abyss.

On this planet, land occupied only a small portion, and humanity's understanding of the ocean was far from complete. Therefore, Wen Wen was willing to offer basic reverence to this boundless deep sea.

During the rest of their journey, Wen Wen's playful mood diminished, and his expression became serious.

However, if he encountered anything strange along the way, he would still capture and freeze it. Unseen things were meant to be tasted.

After advancing for over an hour, the darkness gradually receded, and the water became clear, revealing a sapphire hue.

Beautiful plants floated in the water, and vibrant fish swam agilely. Compared to the oppressive deep sea, this place was like a paradise.

A stream of water gracefully danced before Wen Wen, blocking their path. Wen Wen produced the Hunter Association's badge, and the stream of water then vanished.

Benbo'er and Ba'bo'er pulled the rickshaws to shore. Wen Wen's head emerged from the water, and he couldn't help but exclaim in admiration at the scenery before him.

Even though he already knew the scenery was picturesque, he couldn't help but clap his hands in wonder.

He felt a pang of sympathy for the others in the tour group, who were not fortunate enough to witness such magnificent sights.

Fine golden sand gently covered the shore, where a few coconut trees grew. Behind the coconut trees lay a vast forest, filled with colorful flowers, some of which Wen Wen recognized, and others he had never heard of.

Dozens of mountain-like floating islands hung in the sky. Waterfalls cascaded from beneath some of these islands, weaving into several rainbows in the air – not the colorful farts of unicorns, but actual rainbows.

Each floating island had a different style. Some were covered in maple trees with red leaves, others resembled vast gardens, and some had various amusement facilities built upon them, appearing to be amusement parks.

In addition to the giant floating islands, some plants also floated in the air with their roots carrying soil. Wen Wen even saw several fluffy little beasts treading on colorful bubbles, drifting past him.

The air carried a fresh, sweet scent; a single breath felt like a cleansing of the soul. The sky was a clear, brilliant blue, like a large piece of sapphire.

This place, like the Mia Animal Kingdom, possessed otherworldly landscapes, but this place was clearly more soul-stirring.

This was a hidden realm, and it was impossible to reach without passing through a specific underwater passage.

Benbo'er and Ba'bo'er parted their thick fish lips. They were underwater creatures, but even they were awestruck by the scene, unable to find words to describe it, merely murmuring, "So beautiful, so beautiful..."

Tao Qingqing's eyes curved into crescents, her hands clasped over her chest. How blissful it would be if she could live here.

Wen Wen put away the two mermen and continued to admire the scenery. After satisfying his eyes, he took out a large skyrocket and ignited it with a snap of his fingers.

The rocket was as thick and long as Tao Qingqing's thigh, though much rougher and less smooth and fair, exuding a rugged charm.

As it shot into the sky, it let out a deafening roar. All the birds and beasts that heard this sound were startled and fled from the forest. For a moment, this place...

Tao Qingqing covered her ears and gave Wen Wen a reproachful look. In such a heavenly place, why did he have to be so disruptive?

Wen Wen stated matter-of-factly, "After such a loud noise, they'll come looking for me, and I won't have to search arduously. By the way, they might arrive quite quickly. Are you sure you want to meet them like this?"

Tao Qingqing glanced at her attire and let out a shriek, running behind a tree to put on her clothes before reappearing.

"You women are so strange, what is there to hide? Why weren't you shy when you were wearing a swimsuit..."

Wen Wen grumbled as he took out a chair and a barbecue grill, beginning to prepare the giant squid he had caught earlier.

This thing was best eaten fresh; it wouldn't taste as good if frozen for too long.
