Wen Wen wasn't worried about being recognized, as he had been genuinely heavily injured by that attack.
Given the severity of his wounds, it was remarkable that he could even crawl out of the ruins.
Furthermore, he had kept the 'Mystery' ability active in the Disaster Prison Warden mode, which interfered with others' perception of him. This meant no one could trace him through Black Cross.
At most, someone might know through internal information that Wen Wen was affiliated with Black Cross, but they wouldn't suspect he *was* Black Cross.
He hobbled over to Halman and placed his grimy hand on Halman's shoulder.
Halman glanced at the dirt on his shoulder but said nothing.
After all, the reason the Weird Detective was injured was because he had helped him.
Wen Wen looked down at his clothes with a frown. It would be some time before his Warden uniform was repaired, and his white coat was already more than half damaged again, having been worn for a short period.
It was all because the clothes provided by the facility were too excellent, causing Wen Wen to discard all his old clothes. Consequently, he now had nothing decent to wear.
Should he consider snatching something from the monsters?
Halman sensed Wen Wen's embarrassment and chuckled lightly.
"Once we're done here, we'll try on the costumes. 'Path of Offense and Defense' needs an outfit that fits the demon hunter style."
Wen Wen nodded with satisfaction, developing a slightly better impression of the wealthy patron. The costumes provided by a rich person shouldn't be shoddy, right?
While the two were still preoccupied with their clothing issue, the battle had already begun.
Upon seeing Ishina's arrival, Egel's will to fight vanished completely. Seeing that it was nearing evening, and the Night Knight might arrive if he delayed any longer, he decided to disengage from the fight quickly.
However, Ishina's reputation as a war goddess was built on countless tough battles, and escaping from her wouldn't be easy for Egel.
Ishina moved like a flickering golden lightning bolt around Egel's massive body, leaving Halman only seeing blurry golden lines.
Wherever these golden lines swept across, Egel's flesh rapidly exploded, the destruction far exceeding his recovery rate.
Egel's expression was one of terror. His devastating defeat in the fight against the Night Knight could still be attributed to him being ambushed initially.
But now, he was fighting with his full might, yet he was steadily retreating before Ishina. What's more, Ishina seemed somewhat distracted.
A fierce glint flashed in Egel's eyes, and a strange aura emanated from him.
"Are you determined to kill me? Then don't blame me. You forced my hand!"
A disaster-level expert, acting with intent, could completely erase a city from the map. Not a single ordinary person in the city would survive.
But before his power could be fully unleashed, Ishina instantly appeared above his massive body, holding a strand of golden light in her hand. This light was a pure golden sphere.
She took a deep breath and hurled the golden sphere directly. The sphere easily penetrated Egel's flesh, emitting a dazzling light from within him.
Egel's flesh, upon contact with this light, was like accumulated snow meeting a red-hot iron. In an instant, it melted into blood, and before it could even fall to the ground, it turned into blood mist and dissipated.
The golden light spread throughout every corner of Egel's body, yet it did not affect anything outside. The mountain-like Egel simply vanished into thin air.
A giant flesh cocoon, several meters tall, fell to the ground. Egel hadn't transformed into that giant form himself; that massive body was merely a combat puppet he had formed from filthy flesh and blood.
His true body was likely hiding within this cocoon.
Ishina gently lifted her foot, her jade-like sole, unstained by any dust, flicking upwards. A beam of golden light then sliced through the flesh cocoon.
Inside the cocoon was only a skeletal Egel, emaciated to the bone. This Egel was immersed in a yellowish liquid, his eyes vacant, clearly on the verge of depletion.
"This is just a clone... he still got away. When did he escape, and from where?" Ishina's brow furrowed.
"When you first arrived underground, he left more than half of his power in the clone, and his main body escaped underground with a small portion of his strength."
A low, hoarse voice came from behind Ishina.
Ishina turned her head and saw a figure shrouded in black smoke—the Night Knight.
"You watched him escape? Why didn't you stop him?" Ishina asked the Night Knight with displeasure.
The Night Knight's voice remained unchanged: "I've encountered some issues. I cannot act easily during the day."
His tone of voice was not one that a human could produce, carrying an inherent eerie and terrifying effect that made one feel he was not to be trifled with at first hearing.
"Then he's already escaped, why are you showing up now?"
Ishina crossed her arms, snorted coldly, and refused to look at the Night Knight.
She and the Night Knight had a grudge. That was why Egel had fled in this direction, believing the Night Knight wouldn't easily come here.
The Night Knight was the most low-key of the eight Condemners. He had accomplished many great deeds in secret but rarely publicized them.
However, the Night Knight was also a master of intelligence gathering. When he first met the other Condemners, he had investigated the files of each one beforehand, naturally including Ishina's age...
And out of the traditional virtue of respecting the old and caring for the young, when he first met Ishina, he had been exceptionally respectful.
Ishina's attitude towards him had been satisfactory at first, but the Night Knight didn't understand her sensitivity about her age. Thus, he unintentionally revealed her age in front of other Condemners and referred to her as 'Old Madam Ishina.'
They had fought that day, and their relationship had not been good ever since.
The Night Knight said hoarsely, "I have already killed Galax. Egel is the last disaster-level entity of the Blood of Blasphemy. If he is also dealt with, the Blood of Blasphemy will crumble."
"So, I want you to help me pursue Egel. I can find out where he is."
"You killed Galax?"
Ishina stretched out her voice, looking at the Night Knight in surprise. She knew the Night Knight didn't like to show off, but silently eliminating a disaster-level entity was indeed astonishing.
"Alright, I agree. We'll go after Egel together. However, I need to bring someone with me. That person is only at the True Order level," Ishina said after a few seconds of thought.
The Night Knight seemed to smile, "Coincidentally, I also want to bring someone with me. He is also only at the True Order level."
The two exchanged a glance, then simultaneously looked at Wen Wen, who was spectating from the side.
Wen Wen's scalp tingled under their stares. He couldn't help but reach down and scratch his crotch. What were these two big shots whispering about?
The Night Knight nodded, "Since we're bringing people, let's bring both of them. Egel should be extremely weakened now, so bringing them along won't be an issue."
