Huan Meng Lie Ren

Chapter 958 Ren Mo Aoli

Wen Xiu and the Evil Light Angel were brought into the containment facility by Wen Wen. If they were left here, they would surely die.

Although these two fellows, one at the bottom of the Upper Sequence and the other just close to it, were only brought along to pad the numbers in the pursuit of Krosel.

Wen Wen had not expected them to be defeated so quickly. The remaining three might not even be able to contend with Krosel.

Therefore, Wen Wen prepared to deal with him personally. Although this would prevent him from observing other battles for a while, resolving such a troublesome enemy was well worth it.

But at this moment, a trace of an unusual aura emanated from the shrine at the center of the automobile manufacturing plant, indicating a change in the ritual.

Wen Wen hesitated for a moment, snapped his fingers, and a mass of white mist appeared, condensing into the form of Andros, who went to support Miao Miaomiao and the other two.

After Krosel's two attacks, the others would surely not be careless anymore. Coupled with the undying white mist Andros, four people were enough to deal with Krosel.

Then Wen Wen patted the head of the Ghost Dragon. The massive Ghost Dragon lowered its body and quickly flew towards the shrine.

Outside the shrine, several corpses lay scattered, some of monsters, some of demon hunters, and some of containment personnel.

The one who turned these people into corpses was the child demon riding a demon dragon, resembling a small angel. Its name was Valak, and it was also among the top tier of the Upper Sequence, though slightly weaker than Krosel.

Speaking of which, the foundation of the Abyssal Eye was truly astonishing. Such powerful beings, close to the True Sequence, were treasures in other organizations, yet in the Abyssal Eye alone, there were four such Upper Sequence demons.

Upon seeing Wen Wen fly over, Valak's expression changed. Finally, a True Sequence expert had set their sights on the ritual site.

He was much more clear-headed than Andros, knowing that he was definitely not a match for Wen Wen. However, guarding the ritual was his mission, so he faced Wen Wen without fear.

The enormous purple demon dragon unleashed a breath of purple-black energy towards Wen Wen and the Ghost Dragon.

A cold light flashed in Wen Wen's eyes. The Blood River Sword rose, and he unleashed two consecutive strikes of the Heart and Mind Divine Sword. The demon-infused breath was cleaved apart, and two sword energies shot directly towards Valak's head.

Valak let out a shrill cry. The energy within his body connected with the demon dragon beneath him, and a powerful surge of energy erupted, surprisingly withstanding Wen Wen's first sword strike perfectly. However, the second sword followed closely behind, still cutting a deep wound on Valak.

The demon dragon exuded powerful energy, supporting Valak and preventing him from falling. Although his strength had greatly diminished, he still maintained considerable combat power.

In fact, Valak's own strength did not reach the level of Hao Ruishi or Andros. However, he had signed a contract with the demon dragon beneath him, becoming a Dragon Knight. They could share life and strength, thus elevating him among the top Upper Sequence demons.

From the Inner World, there are currently two major categories of fantasy creatures known as dragons.

One type is like the demon dragon, a large lizard with wings, known as a Western Dragon. By gaining the recognition of a Western Dragon and signing an equal contract with it, one can share life with the Western Dragon and become a Dragon Knight.

The other type is like the Ghost Dragon, which can change size, ascend, and become invisible. They are generally known as Eastern Dragons or Divine Dragons. Within the context of Eastern Dragons, the term Dragon Knight has a slightly different meaning.

This is because some Eastern Dragons can transform into cute girls, commonly known as Dragon Maidens…

Returning to the main topic, after Wen Wen struck Valak twice, he did not continue to pursue a killing blow; he did not have the time.

So, he jumped directly from the Ghost Dragon, swiftly passed by Valak, and charged into the vicinity of the shrine.

The shrine was protected by a powerful barrier, but such a barrier was as good as nothing to Wen Wen. He placed his right hand in front of him and fully activated his absorption power. In just a few seconds, he opened a passage he could pass through and entered the ritual's scope.

Valak wanted to fly over to stop Wen Wen, but a giant claw suddenly descended from the sky, swatting Valak and the demon dragon into the ground, leaving a clear dragon-shaped imprint.

The massive body of the Ghost Dragon emerged from the clouds, letting out a satisfied burp.

The collision of thousands of superpowered beings had resulted in a large number of deaths, and the pervasive death aura emanating from such a vast number of casualties had caused the Ghost Dragon to swell.

It beckoned to Valak, who had just crawled out of the ground, with its claw, letting out a provocative, low growl.

"Kid, want to spar with me?"

As soon as he passed through the passage, two giant snakes burning with a pale green flame lunged menacingly towards Wen Wen's neck.

Wen Wen extended both hands, grabbed the necks of the two giant snakes, and before he could take any further action, the two snakes exploded, their venomous and highly corrosive flames forming a massive vortex of fire that engulfed Wen Wen entirely.

"Stupid biped, how does this Hell Serpent taste?" Olli said charmingly as she looked at the fire vortex.

"A bit gamey, smells awful. Where did you raise this snake? Don't tell me… *gag*!"

The fire vortex began to twist, and an invisible gravitational force pulled all the poisonous flames in one direction, eventually disappearing into Wen Wen's black hole-like right hand.

This slow method of attack with low instantaneous lethality held no meaning for Wen Wen; instead, it added to his retaliatory power.

The Tome of Runes floated behind Wen Wen, continuing to maintain its pull on Lovis. It suffered no damage within this fire.

At this moment, the entire shrine was shrouded in a misty vapor. The surrounding energy density was extremely high, and this energy did not belong to the Cataclysmic level. Instead, it was composed of starlight, runes, and the thoughts of six hundred and sixty-six people. Therefore, these things could not be used as nourishment for the containment facility.

Even for Wen Wen, approaching the interior was extremely difficult, let alone with the presence of Olli, a human-demon, obstructing him.

Although Olli's thought process was that of a complete idiot, with her intelligence severely lacking, her strength was not lacking. Breaking through her blockade to interfere with the ritual was not that simple.

Wen Wen, however, did not rush to interfere with the ritual. After all, he had signed a contract with Lovis. Even if the restrictions did not apply to him directly, he could not openly sabotage this ritual.

What he needed to do was to ensure that the Pure White Lord could not come over, and preferably, to cause some minor disturbances to prevent Lovis from coming over as well…

"As expected of an ill-mannered biped, using such foul language," Olli said disdainfully, covering her nose.

Wen Wen's forehead twitched. Although he had already understood Olli's personality through his files, he still found it somewhat difficult to accept this woman.

For Olli, demons were higher beings, and humans who worshipped demons were qualified to be called humans. All other humans were just foolish bipeds.

Therefore, "biped" was a highly derogatory term.

What was most infuriating was that Olli was originally a human herself.
