The Mosquito Woman's body continuously oozed fresh blood. Seeing this, Tao Qingqing licked her lips—the blood was incredibly alluring to her.
Both of them were monsters that fed on blood, drawing energy from it. As a result, the energy within their blood was far more concentrated than that of ordinary creatures, making it much easier to absorb.
Moreover, the Mosquito Woman's inherent power was stronger than Tao Qingqing's. By drinking her blood and digesting it, Tao Qingqing could assimilate a portion of the Mosquito Woman's strength.
This effect naturally held true among vampires as well.
However, mutual devouring among vampires would trigger an inexplicable mutation.
A vampire who consumed enough of their kin's blood would mutate into a mindless monster that preyed exclusively on other vampires. Their strength would rapidly increase, turning them into enemies of the entire vampire race.
Thus, the taboo against drinking the blood of their own kind was practically ingrained in vampires' DNA.
This was precisely why creatures like the Mosquito Woman and Blood Demons were so rare in the real world. In the eyes of vampires, they were nothing more than "experience point bundles"—once exposed, they would immediately become targets of vampire hunters.
Given the Mosquito Woman's current state, the temptation for Tao Qingqing was blatantly obvious. Without hesitation, she pounced on the Mosquito Woman and sank her fangs into her neck.
For creatures being drained of blood by a vampire, the experience was not one of pain but of intense pleasure. The Mosquito Woman's face immediately flushed red as she writhed.
Compounding the strangeness of the scene was the fact that both women were dressed in rather revealing outfits, making the whole thing look somewhat inappropriate.
When the little Wagtail Ghost arrived and saw the sight, she immediately turned around, needing to find something to cleanse her eyes.
A short while later, Tao Qingqing stopped, exhaling deeply as surges of blood energy churned within her.
Perhaps due to the presence of Wen Wen's blood in her system, Tao Qingqing's power had already broken through to the mid-tier level after fully absorbing the Mosquito Woman's strength—and it was still climbing. By the time she fully digested it, she would become even stronger than the Mosquito Woman.
However, Tao Qingqing didn’t lose her sanity from this. She didn’t drain the Mosquito Woman completely, leaving her just barely alive.
By now, she had completely suppressed her bloodlust. The act of drinking blood was no longer pleasurable for her—in fact, it caused her considerable pain—which was why she was able to stop at the right moment.
Wiping the corner of her mouth, Tao Qingqing asked the little Wagtail Ghost, "When can we get out of here?"
"Oh, uh…" The little ghost snapped out of her daze. "We can leave now."

Wen Wen stood atop the inner perimeter wall, his expression grim. He had completed his investigation of the area, and what he found was horrifying.
Allowing this place to exist for even a second longer was an affront to every demon hunter and containment officer.
But he had to keep his emotions in check. He needed to wait until everything was fully prepared before making his move—otherwise, the outcome could backfire.
With a slight shudder, rats began crawling out from beneath the hem of his long coat. Under the cover of moonlight, they scurried into every corner of the factory.
Once the setup was complete, all Wen Wen needed to do was snap his fingers inside the containment facility. The power of the Disaster Prison Warden would then channel through these rats, completely obliterating all of the automobile factory's defenses.
After finishing his preparations, Wen Wen returned to where he had last seen Tao Qingqing and the others—only to freeze in surprise.
Where had the two of them gone? Had they been captured by demons?
That shouldn’t be the case. Tao Qingqing could have notified him. Maybe… it was the little Wagtail Ghost’s doing?
Before Wen Wen could investigate further, Tao Qingqing and the Wagtail Ghost reappeared before him. Lying on the ground was a voluptuous woman dressed in scandalously revealing clothing.
"What the hell is this thing? The evil emanating from her is overwhelming. Is she cosplaying a mosquito?"
Tao Qingqing licked her crimson lips. "I caught her for interrogation."
"Seems like you’ve gained quite a bit," Wen Wen remarked, raising an eyebrow. "Let’s head back."
As the three of them reached the factory gates, Wen Wen turned back for one last look.
"Enjoy your arrogance while it lasts. I’ll be back. And when I am… you’ll regret everything."

Perhaps because she had been bribed by Tao Qingqing’s "gift," or perhaps because the two had shared a harrowing experience, the little Wagtail Ghost was no longer silent on the way back. Instead, she chattered incessantly, becoming downright noisy.
Like a hungry fledgling bird chirping nonstop, the little Wagtail Ghost was in a similar state, nearly driving Wen Wen mad with her endless prattle.
Still, it did provide him with some useful information—such as the characteristics of the Wagtail Ghost species, or how she had once fought hard against the demons...
"Wagtail Ghost" was the name of her race, while her own name was "Ling Que" (Spiritual Magpie).
Ling Que was naturally a lively girl, but to avoid being deceived, she usually avoided interacting with other races. Now that she had opened up, however, Wen Wen was the one suffering.
Not only did she talk endlessly, but she also asked countless questions—why Tao Qingqing wore tight-fitting clothes, why Wen Wen’s eyes were so small, why human toilets automatically flushed, why steamed buns had pleats…
By the time they reached the Foundation’s base, she was even more excited. In the past, whenever she entered human dwellings, it was either to sneak around or to cause mischief.
At this point, Wen Wen was sorely tempted to find something to stuff into her endlessly yapping mouth.
Tao Qingqing, however, was quite enthusiastic, even going so far as to order various styles of children’s clothing with a rather creepy smile on her face…
Ignoring the two women, Wen Wen entered the containment facility. He now needed to interrogate the Mosquito Woman to extract information about the automobile factory.
Since Tao Qingqing had drained most of the Mosquito Woman’s blood, Wen Wen first had Niviana treat her injuries before beginning the formal interrogation. Otherwise, given her weakened state, she might break too easily during the process.
The containment facility had already established strict interrogation protocols for various monsters—no matter how tight-lipped they were, their mouths could be pried open.
However, demons were masters of contracts. Members of organizations like the Abyssal Eye often signed mutual agreements to prevent betrayal, so the interrogation had to proceed through indirect questioning.
Wen Wen first pressed Mad Whisper against the Mosquito Woman’s skull, injecting crimson madness into her mind and sending her into a delirious state.
Her eyes rolled back, drool dribbling from her lips as she occasionally twitched—she was lost in the insanity conjured by the madness.
Among monsters, Wen Wen’s brand of madness was highly sought after.
A large dose could shatter one’s sanity, but a small dose could induce intense pleasure. Right now, the Mosquito Woman was thoroughly enjoying herself.
In this state, her rationality was significantly lowered. When Wen Wen asked certain questions, she wouldn’t overthink them—thus avoiding triggering the contract’s punitive clauses.
