"I always knew of the Containment Facility's existence; the All-Seeing Eye records everything that happens in this world, so there's very little I don't know."
"I thought the successor to the Containment Facility would be a peerless super-being, but it turns out to be a madman like you," the Great Sage said, eyeing Wen Wen's black blade with lingering fear.
Wen Wen widened his eyes, "What's wrong with being a madman? Look down on the mentally ill?"
"No, I just feel that your position is not commensurate with your virtue," the Great Sage replied, shaking his head.
"Being able to hack you is enough!"
Wen Wen gripped the black blade and slashed directly at the Great Sage.
The black blade was the former weapon of the Black Robed Man, possessing immense power. Even if Wen Wen couldn't unleash its full potential, it was still beyond the Great Sage's ability to block.
The Great Sage obviously knew the power of the black blade, so he didn't intend to confront Wen Wen head-on.
His form became ephemeral, his presence and aura filling the entire sanctuary. Wen Wen's consecutive slashes landed on empty air.
Wen Wen narrowed his eyes, drew out the Blood River Sword, and unleashed countless black energy blades, furiously slicing through all spaces within the sanctuary.
The phantoms shattered one by one, but the Great Sage remained unfazed. Each illusion extended a hand forward, forming a complex hand seal.
Intricate runes of blue and purple appeared in mid-air. Wen Wen's black energy blades flipped, attacking him.
Caught off guard, Wen Wen took several heavy blows, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.
Previously, Wen Wen used the Disaster Gauntlet to return attacks, but now he was on the receiving end of the same tactic.
"Your technique is ingenious; these blades can execute complex attacks, making them a match for most enemies."
"However, your method of controlling these swords is too crude. A bit of disruption is enough to strip you of the will you've attached to these swords, and then I can replace it with my own will to counterattack you."
All the phantoms vanished, converging into a single Great Sage, who looked at Wen Wen with ease.
Wen Wen grasped the sword hilt with both hands and unleashed a massive sword light.
The Great Sage merely extended his right hand, emitting a blue and white energy.
As this energy touched the sword energy, the center of the sword energy strangely dissolved, its full force landing behind the Great Sage.
"The power of this sword energy is immense; I have no single move that can match it. But by neutralizing it with an ability of completely opposite attributes, its power can be greatly diminished."
"Knowledge is the greatest power. I understand all your abilities, and thus I can counter them one by one. You cannot defeat me."
Wen Wen was too lazy to listen to his ramblings and continued his assault. He tried all sorts of attacks, each easily countered by the Great Sage.
Originally, Wen Wen could suppress the sanctuary's power with the Containment Facility's strength. However, after the Great Sage arrived, this suppression effect vanished completely.
His power was not significantly inferior to Wen Wen's, yet Wen Wen couldn't harm him.
"To know everything is to be able to counter everything. Omniscience is omnipotence!"
The Great Sage uttered what sounded like nonsensical words, suddenly appearing before Wen Wen and poking him in the chest with a finger. A powerful force sent Wen Wen flying dozens of meters, crashing into the wall behind him.
"Your defenses are riddled with flaws; I can easily find weaknesses. You are still too weak. I expected the successor of the Containment Facility to be stronger."
Wen Wen pushed himself up against the wall, spitting on the ground in defiance.
Fighting the Great Sage was incredibly frustrating.
His attacks felt like hitting air, while his defenses felt as if he were completely exposed.
Despite being stronger, he felt a strange sense of powerlessness.
However, Wen Wen was also enraged by the Great Sage. Explaining his moves while defeating an opponent was his unique style; it was infuriating that the Great Sage had stolen it.
Wen Wen roughly grasped his earring and yanked the Black Moon off. The Black Moon instantly expanded to a diameter of five meters. Wen Wen held onto the inner edge of the Black Moon, standing on it, and then vanished.
The Great Sage showed a knowing expression, "I understand how Fu Yin and the other two failed. So this little thing considered you more evil. How interesting."
"Was the greatest evil actually the one protecting the world?"
"Screw your mother!"
The Black Moon and Wen Wen reappeared behind the Great Sage, slashing down with his sword. The Great Sage easily neutralized the blow, but before he could counter, Wen Wen circled to his left and attacked again.
In a mere two seconds, Wen Wen employed at least ten different attack methods, coming from all directions above, below, left, and right.
Wen Wen's logic was simple: the Great Sage countered Wen Wen's attacks by understanding them first.
Thinking and understanding required time. Even if the Great Sage's comprehension speed was incredibly fast, Wen Wen only needed to be faster.
His computational ability surely had limits. What would happen when he reached those limits?
Wen Wen was eager to find out.
The attack continued for two minutes, and the change Wen Wen anticipated occurred. White smoke began to rise from Elian's head, and his face contorted in pain.
The Great Sage, attached to him, was fine, but Elian, the host, couldn't bear it. Even with his 'brilliant' intellect, he couldn't keep up with the Great Sage's combat rhythm.
"Stop… stop, please," Elian pleaded with the Great Sage, his face etched with fear.
If this continued, sprinkling some cumin and chili powder on his head would make him ready for a meal.
The Great Sage was enraged, "You useless wretch, why didn't you train your mental power more normally!"
However, Elian had already fainted and could no longer respond to the Great Sage's reprimands.
As Elian fainted, the Great Sage's control over the body rapidly declined. Wen Wen seized the opportunity, driving the black blade into Elian's lower back and spinning it rapidly.
Since the body was now actually controlled by Elian, the Great Sage, far away in the Great Library, experienced the sensation of the black blade entering his flesh.
How to describe that feeling?
It was perhaps like a knife piercing the heart and then exiting, leaving one to change their underwear…
"You're dead, and the Containment Facility can't save you, I say!"
The Great Sage's expression completely collapsed as he hurled curses at Wen Wen. Meanwhile, Elian's body rapidly began to decay.
His eye sockets turned deep blue, blue-purple liquid flowed from his body, and ineffable substances began to spread across him.
To describe it visually, it resembled constantly shifting tentacles of blue-purple…
Elian's body became like a vortex, something trying to break free from it, and that something made Wen Wen's scalp tingle.
