All who died within the power range of the Malign Moon would have their souls eternally imprisoned by it.
They suffered endless torment, their agony only expressed through wails.
Those phantoms were manifestations of these souls' suffering.
At the same time, the Malign Moon itself was filled with malice, deliberately guiding people around it towards death, even its wielder.
Even the most wicked of the Blasphemous Blood were unwilling to risk their souls being imprisoned to use the Malign Moon's power, despite the fact that using it could grant them power akin to Cataclysmic level.
Therefore, the Malign Moon had always been sealed, with only the leaders of the Blasphemous Blood knowing its location.
In the past, all leaders of the Blasphemous Blood possessed Cataclysmic level strength and did not need to borrow the Malign Moon's power.
However, the Blasphemous Blood now lacked any Cataclysmic level individuals. Without using the Malign Moon, they could not gain importance within the Alliance of Secret Organizations. Thus, Fu Yin had to risk using it.
He would avoid combat as much as possible. This way, unless there were beings more malevolent than him nearby, the Malign Moon would not easily betray its master.
Furthermore, Fu Yin harbored extreme hatred for the Foundation. He wished for the souls of all Foundation members who died in battle to be dragged into the Malign Moon, to suffer eternal torment.
As for the fallen from the Alliance of Secret Organizations being pulled into the Malign Moon, that was not something Fu Yin needed to concern himself with.
Regardless, in this battle, only Fu Yin himself from the Blasphemous Blood was participating. The main fighting force comprised members of other secret organizations.
The Foundation's headquarters was located in Qianhe City. Countless large and small rivers flowed through the city, and the Foundation's headquarters was situated between rivers.
These rivers appeared calm on the surface, but beneath the water, currents surged. Strange, grotesque sea monsters crawled out of the rivers, letting out eerie cries as they charged towards the Foundation.
These monsters all hailed from Ouye Water City. The main force consisted of powerful Zeolite Merfolk, along with some miscellaneous shrimp and crab soldiers.
They knew that the culprit responsible for making the entire city smell putrid a while ago was the owner of the building before them. Coupled with the command of the Ancient God Ensuk, their fighting spirit blazed.
A red-headed, pointed-headed monster clad in robes directed these aquatic creatures, its face contorted with madness.
Shadows drifted across the sky. These were demons and modified creatures from the Abyss Eye, attacking the Foundation from above.
In addition to these, there were also some ill-intentioned superhumans, lurking in the background, ready to launch attacks at any moment. These were smaller secret organizations.
Above the Malign Moon, a woman with a seductive figure suddenly appeared behind Fu Yin. Her name was Garcia, the Chairperson of the Abyss Eye, a Cataclysmic level human-demon.
There was also a deep-seated animosity between the Foundation and the Abyss Eye. Wenwen had previously led a team to disrupt an Abyss Eye operation, foiling their plan to summon the Pale Demon Klawrie, and had captured two of their True Order level councilors. Thus, the Abyss Eye harbored intense hatred for the Foundation.
This attack began without any prior warning. Garcia was the overall commander of the assault, while Fu Yin was merely there to cheer her on from the side.
"It seems they don't want to exchange pleasantries with me first..."
Wenwen sighed. Usually, he was the one attacking others; this time, it was his turn to be attacked.
He immediately activated all of the Foundation's defenses. Special plants emerged from the ground, launching powerful counterattacks against the attacking demons and sea monsters.
Some plants could fire freezing projectiles, some could explode themselves, and others could ensnare monsters and drain their blood.
Numerous landmines were triggered, resulting in explosions and scattered remains of monster limbs everywhere.
From the small windows of the Foundation's headquarters, which resembled massive iron blocks, Foundation combatants fired at the monsters outside.
The weapons they used were from the Monster Factory and were capable of effectively harming these monsters.
Seeing that a large number of monsters had approached, Wenwen snapped his fingers. A violent explosion occurred, with the blast radius covering three kilometers.
This bomb was a powerful item Wenwen had acquired from the Night Knight, and its effectiveness was undeniable.
However, as the smoke from the explosion dissipated, Wenwen's expression turned grim.
This was because, although the monsters were in a sorry state, their losses were not significant. Under the enhancement of the Malign Moon, their bodies were incredibly resilient, and ordinary attacks struggled to inflict effective damage.
Yet, Wenwen was not overly worried; his arrangements were sufficient to handle such a situation.
In fact, he was even finding the attack rather lackluster.
According to Brose's statement at the meeting that day, the attack on the Foundation was meant to be their declaration of dominance, and they shouldn't have only deployed such limited force.
The Foundation had a Cataclysmic level powerhouse. Was it truly confident of taking down the Foundation by sending only one Cataclysmic level entity?
If they couldn't secure a swift victory, how could they establish their authority?
If the Alliance of Secret Organizations couldn't even handle a mere demonstration of force properly, they were not to be feared.
Unless... this attack was a feint, and the Alliance of Secret Organizations had another objective!
If so, what was more important to the Alliance of Secret Organizations than eliminating the Foundation?
The Nest of Destruction!
Wenwen shivered and pulled out his Hunter's Terminal, contacting the Monster Star and Vanguard 60, who were hiding in the city.
"You two, go to the location of the Nest of Destruction immediately. I suspect this is a diversion tactic by the Alliance of Secret Organizations. I can handle things here alone."
After speaking, Wenwen drew his Blood River Sword, flicked his wrist, and unleashed the Evil Speech Myriad Sword Technique.
Tens of thousands of black longswords floated in mid-air, the mouths on their hilts scolding and cursing the wailing phantoms. For a moment, they even drowned out the phantoms' screams, silencing them.
Wenwen looked at his hand in surprise. Was the power of this Evil Speech Myriad Sword Technique absurdly high?
It was at least more than twice as strong as in his normal state.
Furthermore, its ability to silence souls that were reduced to mere instinct indicated a power far beyond mere destructive force.
Wenwen looked at the black crescent moon with a strange expression. Could that thing be empowering him?
But why?
He was clearly an enemy...
Was there some conspiracy at play here?
Wenwen suddenly felt a sense of unease.
He had used the Evil Speech Myriad Sword Technique earlier not to attack, but because the sounds were irritating him.
Now that it was quiet, he wanted to communicate with the attackers.
He flew towards the black moon and looked at the two figures in the darkness, feeling a slight sense of emotion.
Fu Yin, the former Corrupted Blood, was a monster that Wenwen found difficult to deal with. The current Fu Yin, without the aid of that black moon, could no longer engage Wenwen in an equal conversation.
As for Garcia, she was merely an enhanced version of the human-demon Ollie.
If he could keep her, it would add a female pillar to the containment facility!
