A slit suddenly appeared in the void, and a bald man with buck teeth poked his head through.
Wen Wen's eyes lit up: "Finally, a nightmare has come? Hurry up and wreak havoc on me, I'm very good to wreak havoc upon."
The nightmare licked his lips, greed driving him to rush into this dreamscape and feast.
Suddenly, he saw an old man in a luxurious robe holding a scepter, radiating a strong light. This old man smiled at him and said, "Praise my Lord, my Lord created all things, and you are also my Lord's creation..."
Wen Wen inwardly cried out that something was wrong. Before he could intervene, the nightmare's hair stood on end in fright, and it immediately retreated from Wen Wen's dreamscape.
It wasn't good for a dreamscape to be too strange, as nightmares dared not enter Wen Wen's dreamscape.
The titles and appearances of Calamity-class powerhouses all possessed immense power. Even mere manifestations in a dreamscape were not something a mere nightmare could provoke.
Looking at the Calamity-class powerhouses wandering his vast dreamscape, Wen Wen rubbed his hair in frustration. He had to find a way to trick the nightmares into entering.
These Calamity-class powerhouses were born because of Wen Wen. While Wen Wen couldn't control them, because Wen Wen felt no fear towards them, they also did not attack Wen Wen. They were merely background elements in Wen Wen's dreamscape.
Only by eliminating these background elements could nightmares possibly step into Wen Wen's dreamscape.
Before entering the dream, Meifuna had lectured Wen Wen on many precautions. Wen Wen had been impatient at the time, but the precautions indeed contained useful knowledge.
A dreamscape was born from its dreamer, and the things that appeared within it were largely determined by what the dreamer was thinking at the time.
In other words, the dreamer's thoughts could, to a certain extent, influence the scenes within the dreamscape.
The reason for so many Calamity-class powerhouses in Wen Wen's dreamscape was because Wen Wen often dealt with entities of such power.
Besides Dream Weavers, it was extremely difficult for ordinary people to control a dreamscape. However, Wen Wen, with Meifuna's power, had maintained consciousness within the dreamscape and tried to modify its scenes, which might also be possible.
He looked around, taking Egger as an experimental subject, wanting to remove Egger from his dreamscape. But with all his might, he could only make Egger's appearance more ferocious.
So Wen Wen changed his approach, which was to block Egger so that the nightmares couldn't see him.
He attempted to erect walls around Egger, walls sufficient to conceal him. Walls of granite appeared out of thin air, completely blocking Egger.
For an ordinary person to influence a cup of water in a dream required rigorous training, but for a top-tier superpowered being like Wen Wen, accomplishing such a feat was not difficult.
However, those solid granite walls did not block Egger. Egger merely shook his body, and all the walls turned to dust.
Even one Egger was difficult for Wen Wen to contain, let alone the other Calamity-class powerhouses.
Wen Wen pondered for a while longer, then a flash of inspiration struck him, and he burst into laughter.
He began snapping his fingers in place, snapping them with a distinct rhythm, like a performer with a clapper.
With the sound of his snaps, the scenes within the dreamscape began to change rapidly. Walls rose, fences appeared, and the previously absurd, fractured dreamscape became orderly.
The wandering Calamity-class powerhouses were forcibly moved, eventually confined within prison cells.
Wen Wen had constructed a containment facility within his own dreamscape!
The containment facility was the superpowered object Wen Wen was most familiar with. Transforming the dreamscape into the shape of a containment facility was very easy for him, and the containment facility could trap those wandering Calamity-class powerhouses, preventing them from loitering in Wen Wen's dreamscape.
Wen Wen entered the central area of the dream containment facility, his consciousness covering the entire facility, waiting for the nightmares.
In less than half an hour, Wen Wen felt a change. The atmosphere in the dreamscape inexplicably grew heavy.
The lighting and sounds underwent subtle changes, creating an extremely oppressive atmosphere, the kind typically found in horror movies.
Even when Wen Wen turned on the faucet to wash his face, he feared blood might flow out.
"They're coming, aren't they? Little nightmares, I've been waiting for you!" Wen Wen's lips curved exaggeratedly, like an old hunter spotting prey caught in a trap.
After the dreamscape transformed into the appearance of a containment facility, Wen Wen's control over the dreamscape became stronger. He could see every corner of the dreamscape at any time.
He saw, one after another, mummified figures wearing silver-gray robes, drilling into the dream containment facility.
Most of these dream monsters held scythe-like, exaggerated weapons. Their very appearance was enough to make ordinary people's legs go weak, and wherever the dream monsters appeared, a certain degree of corrosion would occur around them.
"These things should be the dream monsters that Meifuna mentioned. She said only some high-level nightmares could command dream monsters."
"It seems a big one has been lured this time."
As he was pondering, Wen Wen noticed Meng Lan, dressed provocatively, silently emerging from the air, a look of anticipation on her face. Behind her, a dream monster held a tray laden with fine tableware.
Wen Wen exclaimed, "Tsk... are there also this type of nightmare? Truly a 'big' one."
After entering Wen Wen's dreamscape, Meng Lan twitched her nose, sniffing the air.
"Ah... it smells so good, the scent of a super high-quality dreamscape."
"My little ones, go find the dreamer and give him a simple scare."
"Someone with such a delicious dreamscape, big sister can't just gobble him up at once. I must savor him slowly and well."
After sending all the dream monsters away, Meng Lan looked around, walked to a wall, and took a bite out of it.
For nightmares, everything within a dreamscape could be considered food, though they preferred the fear of the dreamer. For a super high-quality dreamscape like Wen Wen's, even ordinary items in the dream held some value for nightmares.
"Ouch..." Meng Lan covered her mouth, tears welling up in her eyes. "Why are the buildings in this guy's dream so hard? I've gnawed on diamonds before, and this is the first time I've encountered something I can't bite through."
"Forget it, forget it. These things don't taste good anyway. I'll go savor the fear."
Meng Lan didn't find the containment facility manifesting in the dreamscape particularly strange, because anything could appear in a dream. She had even encountered someone in a dream who used the sun as a glass marble.
External objects held little significance in a dreamscape; nightmares only needed to focus on the living beings within the dream.
