Chapter 1121: Monster Factory

Stepping out of the bronze door, Wen Wen's mood was somewhat complicated.

He had half a mind to keep that silhouette behind, but after some thought, he shook his head and gave up on the idea.

Patting his cheeks, Wen Wen prepared to tackle the backlog of affairs.

Between chasing Aigle, being trapped in Eurianu, and the dozen or so days lost in the time silhouette, Wen Wen hadn’t paid attention to the asylum's operations for quite a while.

Who knew what new changes had taken place in the asylum during this time?

Wen Wen first went to the fourth floor of the asylum, where the institution’s only Calamity-level prisoner, Aigle, was being held.

Just like in the time silhouette’s version of the asylum, Aigle was locked up tightly, bound layer upon layer.

Mo Gong sat on a small stool in front of him, chatting idly with Aigle.

Aigle’s eyes were filled with deep fear as he answered every question Mo Gong asked without hesitation.

This prison block hadn’t seen fresh blood in at least a thousand years, so to Mo Gong, Aigle was nothing short of a treasure—lavished with all kinds of "care."

But from Aigle’s perspective, this "care" was absolutely terrifying.

Wen Wen tried to see if he could utilize Aigle’s abilities or implant chains in him to control him in battle.

But since he now had his Calamity form, whether or not he could use Aigle’s powers didn’t matter much.

With Mo Gong guarding the Calamity block, Wen Wen felt completely at ease. Just as he was about to leave, Mo Gong called out to him.

*"There’s something you should know. Since you’ve captured your first Calamity-level monster, the pressure on the four of us central administrators has lessened somewhat."*

*"You’re aware that the asylum was severely damaged and has been barely held together by our power. The Calamity-level monsters you capture, though unusable, can share our burden."*

*"Now, Jin Kela, Niviana, and Isvit are no longer strictly confined to the asylum. If you capture another Calamity-level entity, one of them will regain their full Calamity-level strength."*

Hearing this, Wen Wen immediately smiled. He knew exactly how powerful the central administrators were. If they could leave the asylum to assist him, it would be like gaining three True Sequence-tier enforcers.

As for capturing another Calamity-level entity—that wasn’t something he could consider right now. Catching Aigle had involved a great deal of luck. Every Calamity-level powerhouse was a force to be reckoned with, and with his Calamity form lasting barely ten minutes, it would be difficult to bag another one anytime soon.

After leaving the Calamity block, Wen Wen headed to the Disaster zone and sought out the central administrator Jin Kela to get an update on the asylum’s recent operations.

To his surprise, the asylum hadn’t descended into chaos in his absence.

After Wen Wen disappeared, Wen Wu had taken charge in his stead.

Being significantly older than Wen Wen, his approach differed greatly—more methodical and steady, with plans tailored for the asylum’s long-term development.

If things continued according to Wen Wu’s plans, Wen Wen felt that one day replacing the Hunter Association wouldn’t just be empty talk.

The framework of the Foundation was already in place, with each department operating smoothly and its influence expanding steadily.

Thanks to the "spiritual resurgence," the number of newly recruited containment officers had also grown significantly. These officers were spread across the world, weaving the asylum’s influence into a vast network.

At the same time, Wen Wu had placed special emphasis on developing the Monster Factory—a project Wen Wen had once envisioned.

Originally, Wen Wen’s plan for the Monster Factory was akin to a labor camp—blacksmithing, mining, farming, basket-weaving—just enough to fund the asylum’s monster upkeep.

But Wen Wu had a different vision. He completely revamped the factory, integrating the monsters’ strengths to achieve staggering efficiency.

Just listening to Jin Kela’s description, Wen Wen could already tell how remarkable Wen Wu’s reforms were.

Closing his eyes for two seconds, a stream of memories flooded his mind—records of Wen Wu’s various actions during this time.

When clones shared memories, they only transferred the necessary parts. This prevented overloading Wen Wen’s brain and saved him time.

Otherwise, the sheer amount of sickeningly sweet moments between Wen Wu and Lu Zhaoxue would’ve driven him up the wall.

*How dare a clone get a girlfriend—and even start planning for kids—the moment he’s created?*

The more he reviewed the memories, the more satisfied he became. After some thought, Wen Wen decided to personally inspect the Monster Factory.

Locking onto Tao Qingqing’s coordinates, he teleported straight to the SRS Foundation headquarters in Qianhe City.

After parting ways with Wen Wen in Baydia, Tao Qingqing had returned to the Foundation headquarters to await his comeback. What surprised Wen Wen slightly was the presence of another woman there.

Hu Youling had already returned from Five Immortals Pond, dressed in a black dress, her expression icy.

Meanwhile, Tao Qingqing stood on a chair, provocatively taunting Hu Youling, who remained completely unfazed—as if their usual roles had been reversed.

For an ordinary man, this scene would’ve spelled the beginning of a bloodbath.

But the moment Wen Wen approached, both women immediately switched to fawning over him, not daring to let their personal grievances spill over in his presence.

Despite Wen Wen’s long absence, neither had forgotten their place.

Pleased with their behavior, Wen Wen enjoyed a brief massage before taking them both to the Monster Factory.

Located in the middle of nowhere, the factory’s current state stunned even Wen Wen when he arrived.

His original setup had been little more than a few prefab sheds. Now, the place looked like a full-blown monster town.

Smoke billowed from the east, while the west boasted vast, fertile fields where diligent monsters toiled, painting an oddly idyllic scene.

Though to an ordinary person, the area probably reeked of sinister energy, teeming with demons running amok…

Wen Wen started his inspection in the west—Redbeard’s domain. Once the asylum’s chief blacksmith, he was now the head of the Monster Factory’s forging division.

Under him was a team of monsters skilled in smithing, shaping, and rune-carving. Individually, they couldn’t produce supernatural artifacts, but by dividing labor and working in assembly lines, they could mass-produce low-tier enchanted weapons.

After some trial and error, the factory had already established its own product lines:

The *"Heist"* series of blades and the *"Prison"* series of firearms.

Both lines were predominantly black, with dark red accents in key areas.

Picking up a black longsword, Wen Wen swung it a few times, nodding in approval.
