The former chairman was located within the Celestial Whale.
The Celestial Whale possessed the ability to detect breaches in the barrier. When it sensed a breach, it would swim rapidly towards it, and if the breach and the former chairman were close enough, it would be automatically repaired.
Under Sruisin’s guidance, Wen Wen arrived in a spacious room.
Inside this room was a crystal, five meters in diameter, emitting a soft white light.
Within the crystal, the former chairman was ‘stored’.
The former chairman was a man with a short beard, wearing a white robe, curled up inside this crystal.
The vast majority of his body had been crystallized, becoming one with the white crystal. From the outside, only a rough outline could be seen.
Wen Wen first bowed to him, then asked Sruisin to leave, as he had something to say to the former chairman.
After Sruisin left, Wen Wen placed his hand on the crystal and his consciousness invaded it.
To ordinary superhumans, or even disaster-level powerhouses, the former chairman was considered dead, as he could no longer communicate with anyone.
However, Wen Wen could sense that at the deepest part of the crystal, a sliver of his self-awareness remained. It was just that no one could reach this deepest part of the crystal.
But Wen Wen’s strength now surpassed the general scope of disaster-level, so he easily invaded it.
At the deepest part of the crystal, there was a small consciousness space.
This consciousness space contained a small courtyard and a small plot of farmland. In the courtyard, there was a thatched cottage, two old willow trees, and a small pond.
The pond was clear to the bottom, with a single fish swimming slowly. Wen Wen immediately recognized this fish as the Celestial Whale from the outside.
It seemed the former chairman was not lonely either; a part of the Celestial Whale’s consciousness had always accompanied him here.
Sensing someone entering the consciousness space, the former chairman, dressed in his white robe, walked out from within. Upon seeing Wen Wen, he showed a look of astonishment.
His consciousness had been confined to this small space, and he was unaware of what had happened outside.
"Hello, this is our first meeting. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Wen Wen… perhaps you could consider me your successor, at least for now."
The former chairman sized up Wen Wen, then smiled faintly, inviting him to sit by the small pond. He then brewed a pot of tea for Wen Wen, and the two began to chat.
They talked for an entire day before concluding their conversation. Wen Wen left the small consciousness space, while the former chairman sat by the pond for another day before picking up a hoe and starting to work in the fields.
This was his daily routine. This small world was his paradise.
The former chairman, who sacrificed himself to forge the barrier, was not suffering. Instead, he had found the peace he desired here.
Wen Wen opened his eyes in the outside world. A day of conversation in the consciousness space had taken less than an hour in the real world.
He walked out of the room and said to Sruisin, who was waiting at the door, "I've made arrangements with him. He won't stop me when I return."
Sruisin blinked in surprise, "You can really communicate with him? How did you do it? I'd like to…"
Wen Wen shook his head, "You can't, and it's better not to disturb him. He's very happy now."
After leaving the Celestial Whale, Wen Wen found Jingji Kongluo again and stood before him, extending his hands.
"Come on, I'm ready."
Sruisin looked at Wen Wen for a long time before speaking, "Then I'll do it. Don't blame me if you don't come back."
Wen Wen waved his hand dismissively, "Stop being so hesitant, hurry up and do it."
A transparent power ignited in Jingji Kongluo’s hand, and he punched Wen Wen.
The space around Wen Wen immediately shattered, and a suction force pulled him. Wen Wen lowered his defenses and voluntarily leaped into the rift, disappearing from Jingji Kongluo's sight.
"I hope he really can come back."
...
The World Gap was a void.
From here, one could directly see the beautiful Earth, and also the infinite expanse of stars.
However, it was only possible to see; entering Earth or venturing into the stars was impossible.
It was like an eternal prison, confining numerous disaster-level powerhouses.
After Wen Wen was punched into this place by Jingji Kongluo, the aura of the real world attracted the attention of all the monsters.
"Another one has been banished here, hahahaha…"
"I wonder if this guy has any fat to skim…"
"Wait, I know this guy. He’s different from us. He’s a demon hunter, just like the guys who banished us here!"
Kou Qing, whose body had already healed, excitedly pointed at Wen Wen and said.
All the monsters in this place, upon hearing this, erupted. It could be said that all the monsters here held grudges against the Hunter Association. Upon hearing that Wen Wen came from the Hunter Association, they wished they could tear him apart alive.
A demon, entirely white, looked at Wen Wen, thought for a moment, and then recalled that this was the very person who had caused him to be banished here.
This demon was the Pure White Lord Clarey, whom the Eye of the Abyss had intended to summon. Upon recognizing Wen Wen, his rage flared.
"This guy doesn’t have any energy aura on him. He must have been stripped of his power by the Hunter Association. Now he’s a fat sheep." Saying this, he threw a massive white energy ball at Wen Wen. Meanwhile, Kou Qing, who bore a deep hatred for Wen Wen, charged directly at him.
Both of them knew that given the nature of the monsters in the World Gap, they would not act unless someone took the lead.
And once those monsters were drawn into the fray, Wen Wen would be as good as dead.
Wen Wen looked at the group of monsters charging at him with bared fangs and brandished claws, a hint of disdain in his eyes.
These guys had been imprisoned here for too long, and most of them were in a state of depletion, mostly using techniques that consumed little power.
If there were this many normal disaster-level powerhouses, even Wen Wen would be wary. But them…
They were just common fodder!
To deal with such individuals, it was enough to eliminate the few who were most aggressive.
Wen Wen extended a hand, catching the massive energy ball. A black hole-like suction caused the energy ball to vanish in an instant, its energy becoming a power reserve for the containment facility.
When Kou Qing charged towards him, Wen Wen’s eyes suddenly widened. The Black Blade materialized in his hand, and a colossal black blade qi slashed towards Kou Qing.
Kou Qing, unable to dodge, could only reinforce his defenses, attempting to block the strike.
But he did not know that the current Wen Wen was completely different from before.
Kou Qing, with his steel-hardened bones, was cleaved in two by this blade qi. His two eyes met, finding the current situation difficult to comprehend.
Wen Wen walked between the two halves of his body, gently patted with his left hand, and white energy erupted, burning his remaining body into two charred lumps.
