At Rias' words and his pointing, the conduit in the sky, Aimon, was suddenly engulfed in a hideous conflagration. It burned, but it wasn't destroyed. In fact, it was edified by the flames. They were flames of progression, one of the reasons why this Andori of the masked man didn't actually have a name that teased its ability to create all kinds of things.
Its name was the name of the conduit: Aimon.
Aimon was currently working with a series of objectives for its master, some to do with this battle in particular, and others not so much. Because it operated like its previous version (the Imagining Technique) Aimon could produce an unlimited number of less sophisticated creations. The more unique ones, with custom and ultra-specific purposes took time and external stimuli.
That said, as soon as Kintar had proven to be such a nuisance, Rias had already decided on a way to render her powers meaningless.
Vwoosh!
Uyuniya was just six meters from Rias when Aimon fired something his way. It moved concerning fast, faster than Uyuniya.
It crashed into Rias and sent him flying, but that was fortunate. After all, he'd just been knocked off Uyuniya's course.
As the masked man flew along with this new entity, he quickly put his plan into action. His mastery of things to do with the universal concept known as the soul hadn't waned since his last life. In fact, it had improved as he ascended to Divinity and interacted with the Immoral, the calamity of an era.
Swiftly, the masked man slipped his soul out of his body and into the entity Aimon had created.
It was, after all, a body identical to his own with a few key differences.
Rias' consciousness faded from his old body, and the eyes of the new one shot open. The honey-colour within them was replaced with a furious gold.
It was meticulous work separating the soul from the body and Broader Existence. It was risky, in fact, but Rias had a way to mitigate that.
His old body was suddenly yanked towards Aimon's mouth for protection. Before it could disappear into the maw, however, the new Rias stretched his hand forward and pulled the green mask it was wearing towards his own face. Once it fell over him, he was the masked man again, body and soul… and no Broader Existence.
When he landed, Rias took a breath, familiarising himself with the body. His enemies didn't give him enough for that, though.
Uyuniya was especially driven.
'I'm not sure what he did, but moving his soul into a different vessel is a dumb move. I can't tell if he still has his Broader Existence, but if he doesn't…'
She manifested her greatsword again and its length was included in the Void Clot just as she violently slashed at Rias.
The masked man managed a sleek side step avoiding the blow, but he didn't counter. Kintar saw an opening. With her Vision-Based Torsion, she sent a blow to the back of Rias' head just when Sila was sneaking around his flank.
BANG!
The blow reached the masked man, and Sila's did too. His vermillion quality mana rushed into his leg as he nailed the necromancer with a high kick to the face.
The blow connected… but then nothing.
…!!!
Kintar looked intrigued and Sila looked suspicious.
Rias ate the two attacks, and when Uyuniya came for a swift stab at his head with her sword and Void Clot, a rotten door opened in the air, allowing him to step through and appear somewhere else before he could be touched.
Behind the mask, the masked man smirked. He could see his enemies flashing towards him again.
'Perfect. This body is completely invulnerable to all forms of mana and is imbued with a little less than triple the raw strength of my original one; Aimon's current enhancement limit. It's a Divine body that isn't a Divine.'
And indeed, it was. However…
'One good blow and I'm dead. Without my Broader Existence connected to this body and my soul, I'm susceptible to true death just like a mortal. Frightening, indeed. But I'm a scholar of death. If I can't tease my one true master and survive, then I wasn't worthy to live in the first place.'
Behind the mask, the ghost of the original masked man felt excitement gush through him. As his enemies neared, something slipped into his right hand. It was an eye. He backpedalled while lifting his mask, burning his right eye with Undeath, and fixing this new one into the vacant socket.
Uyuniya was upon him by then, slashing with her sword at his head.
She had become the centre of the attack formation. That was going to be detrimental.
When the Perfect Incubating Masterpiece sliced at Rias' green mask… Sila's torso was bombarded with an outrageous force. Barely a fourth of him remained to tie his legs and shoulders together as an organism, and he went flying backward.
Somehow, Uyuniya's attack had hit him instead of the masked man.
…!!!
The alien and Kintar were taken aback… to their detriment.
A single crow aimed for Kintar while she was in shock, and blasted her before she could react. She would substitute her existence with one of her mana creations, Rias knew, but in the meantime, he summoned a single Pseudo Death Knight behind Uyuniya. He watched with fascination, the solid crystalline blue glow of his right eye mirrored his mood.
Uyuniya turned sharply to attend to the giant, armoured skeleton.
'He thinks this can stop me?' the alien thought, incensed. She didn't understand what Rias had just done to Sila, but against the undead minion, she only needed one swipe with her sword to put an end to its existence.
…And Rias knew that. That was why, when she turned his Pseudo Death Knight into old, clattering bones and ripped, aged steel, Aimon opened a door under Uyuniya's feet. Her weight forced it open, and she appeared seven kilometers away.
But that wasn't the end of it. Aimon sent something following after her through the door while Rias zoomed towards the new Kintar.
The Unlimited Star could sense his excitement.
"Try me now, insolent little witch." He was so quick he had her by the neck before she even realised it.
Kintar kept up her grin even as blood pooled to her face.
"You're immune to mana now. Big deal," she said.
Rias scoffed.
"Run," he said as her head exploded like a grapefruit.
