Chapter 220: Wedding Day Part II

Chapter 220: Chapter 220: Wedding Day Part II

The wedding ceremony was about to begin. However, the newlyweds remained in the bridal room. Victoria still wanted to be with her husband, as she now had no one to accompany her down the aisle. Soon, she would be walking alone, though she hoped her parents would be watching this happy moment from above. In reality, she felt empty. Therefore, she found it difficult to let go of her husband’s embrace.

"Tory, how about I walk with you later?"

Her eyes widened. "What? But shouldn’t you be waiting for me at the altar?"

A relaxed smile spread across his handsome face. "It’s okay. I really don’t want you to feel lonely now that your parents are gone."

Her eyes grew even more teary as she heard her husband’s usual ability to read her mind. For now, she didn’t want to let out her tears, which would ruin her makeup.

"Matty, I love you more and more. You are indeed the only man who is most sensitive to my desires."

"I don’t want you to walk alone as if you have no one. Even though you have many friends and a good husband, there’s no one who can accompany you."

"Matthias, why do you speak like that in front of your wife?"

Hearing the grandfather’s voice break the atmosphere in the bridal room made the newlyweds surprised.

Matthias rubbed his chest and put his hands on his hips. "Grandpa, you should have knocked before you spoke!"

Charles burst out laughing as he approached the bride. "You don’t have to worry about your wife anymore. I was actually planning on being there for her."

Victoria rolled her eyes. "No need to worry, Grandpa. I can actually walk alone."

Charles gently patted the back of his granddaughter-in-law’s hand. "From the first time you visited me, I’ve treated you like my own granddaughter. Even when your family caused us trouble, I never considered them my enemies."

"Grandpa..."

Charles looked at his grandson with a mischievous smile. "My grandson, may I borrow your wife until the event? You don’t feel sorry for her walking around alone."

"Even though I had already intended to accompany her too."

"Do you really want to accompany your wife?"

"Yes. Because as her husband, I have to accompany her wherever she goes." Matthias held his wife’s hand tightly again. "You don’t need to worry, Grandpa. I have no problem walking alongside my wife when the event begins."

"Okay, then I’ll be heading back now. You guys should start getting ready too." Charles hugged his granddaughter-in-law for a few seconds. "I still can’t believe this happy day has finally arrived after all this time."

As the master of ceremonies gave the signal to begin the wedding ceremony, which took place in the hotel garden with the ocean as a backdrop, Victoria and Matthias walked hand in hand to the altar. Victoria was so grateful that all the guests in attendance cheered enthusiastically, adding to the excitement of her wedding. Some guests threw flower petals everywhere, and the explosion of confetti filled her heart with joy. The wedding she had dreamed of since childhood had finally come true.

She couldn’t stop the tears of joy that continued to flow down her cheeks. Now she was wearing a ballgown and Matthias was wearing a white tuxedo, looking like a fairytale couple.

Upon arriving at the altar, they stood facing each other with beaming smiles. It felt like they couldn’t let go of each other’s hands, so comfortable with each other.

Meanwhile, the master of ceremonies could only smile at the newlyweds who already considered the world to be theirs alone.

"I don’t think I want to say too much. Seeing this happy couple, who are so adorable right now, I definitely give my blessing to your marriage."

Matthias looked at his wife with loving eyes. "You don’t need to ask me any more questions. Of course, I really want to marry my wife, Victoria Erianthe. The only woman I truly love and the woman I can spend the rest of my life with."

All the guests were amazed by the groom’s declaration of love. Victoria was so stunned that she couldn’t stop her tears from flowing.

"Matthias, could you stop making me cry? Do you like seeing my makeup fade?"

"You’re still beautiful, Tory."

"Then, now it’s my turn to express my feelings. I don’t really need to be asked. I definitely want to marry Matthias Emerson because he’s the only man who truly loves me. Only Matthias would dare to do anything for me. He never looks back; whenever a major problem befalls me, he’s always by my side, shouldering it together."

All the guests cheered enthusiastically after hearing the bride’s declaration of love. Now it was Matthias’s turn to cry, his face turning red.

"Victoria, it turns out you were so cruel as to make me cry too."

"This is the result of you making me cry all this time."

The master of ceremonies signaled the newlyweds to put their wedding rings on each other. His voice trembled as he couldn’t hold back tears of joy at the sweet moment.

Matthias put the ring on his wife’s ring finger, and Victoria did the same.

For a moment, Matthias landed his lips on his wife’s forehead deeply, then moved to her cheeks and nose as a sign that he had officially married the woman he loved most.

They didn’t forget to share a passionate kiss, filled with deep affection, as a sign that they were officially husband and wife. There was no need to act or live in hiding anymore. Nor did they need to flee to a land where no one could find them. Because now everyone was so supportive of their relationship.

All the guests cheered enthusiastically for the newlyweds as they walked down the red carpet together, greeting guests. Victoria and Ansel, in particular, looked at each other and then nodded, signaling that they had completely let go of their past relationship.

Not only was Ansel happy, but all their friends were also moved to tears and waving their hands. They had witnessed their relationship from beginning to end.
