Chapter 188: Kidnapped

Chapter 188: Chapter 188: Kidnapped

Now Victoria was held captive in a dark, silent, empty warehouse. Her hands and feet were tied to a chair. As she slowly opened her eyes, she began to panic, remembering that the gangsters who had dragged her earlier were so large that she had no strength to fight them off.

She was increasingly curious about who the mastermind was now. Did Fransisca really want to kill her? What should she do now? Would Ansel succeed in saving her now?

Hearing footsteps and clapping, she instinctively turned her head to face the mastermind behind this sudden kidnapping. Her gaze immediately widened, as this was the first time her guess had been wrong. She hadn’t expected Anton to be the one to kidnap her. But what was Anton’s real reason for targeting her again?

"Why did you suddenly kidnap me?" Victoria snickered in annoyance. "Have you still not learned your lesson from your previous punishment?"

Anton smiled sarcastically as he swung his iron rod at his greatest enemy. "You’ve ruined Amber’s life because you and Matthias lost your minds!"

"If you’re looking for revenge, you’ve come to the wrong person. I don’t actually want to bully Amber. But she’s the one who’s always trying to steal Matthias from me. She’s the most shameless woman I’ve ever met."

"But you’re also a shameless woman. How dare you ruin my friendship with Matthias! I was just about to work with him!"

"You and Amber are both idiots! If you weren’t so selfish, your lives wouldn’t be ruined like this."

"How dare you say such things in front of me." Anton wanted to hit his enemy’s head with an iron rod, but his enemy didn’t seem afraid of him, which made him a little confused. "Why aren’t you afraid? This time I really want to kill you!"

"Go ahead and kill me. I won’t stop you."

Suddenly, the sound of gangsters shouting and fighting someone erupted in chaos, sending the room into chaos. Victoria already suspected Ansel was the one who had saved her. However, she was also worried about whether he would be able to fight off the numerous gangsters.

"What’s actually going on?!" Anton snapped, seeing his men busy fighting with the two men.

"We didn’t know. These two men suddenly found this place."

Victoria widened her eyes as she stared at her husband, who had also come to rescue her with Ansel. She was so sure she’d sent this location to Ansel. Could it be that Ansel had also asked for Matthias’ help?

Anton immediately pointed an iron rod at his neck. "Were you the one who called them here?"

"Of course. Soon you’ll end up like Amber! This time you’ll be accused of trying to kill me and kidnapping me!"

Victoria stared at her two heroes for a moment before being suddenly struck by a large gangster leader. She screamed as she tried to break free from the ropes binding her.

"Let go of me, Anton! You’re a psychopath!"

Just as Anton was about to hit her face with an iron rod, Matthias immediately stopped the brutal action and snatched the iron rod from Anton’s grasp. Using only one hand, he struck Anton with all his might until he was helpless.

Victoria watched her husband’s incredibly cool rescue action, making her heart flutter instantly. Now her husband untied the rope and hugged her tightly.

"Tory, I’m sorry I was late saving you. Are you hurt?"

Victoria shook her head slowly as she stroked her husband’s face, which was bruised and slightly bleeding from being punched. "Your face is injured."

"It’s just a small wound." Matthias stared for a moment at Ansel, who had managed to take down all the gangsters. "I didn’t expect Ansel to be such a good fighter."

Victoria was also worried as she looked at her friend, who looked disheveled from a fight with a gangster and had been punched several times. "After this, I think I’ll have to treat you guys first."

Of course, Ansel also called the police to seal off the empty warehouse. Now Anton couldn’t kidnap her again, as it had been proven that his actions this time couldn’t be forgiven simply by paying a fine.

After Victoria was interrogated by the lead detective as both a witness and a victim, she took her two rescuers back to her luxurious residence. She immediately took action, grabbing a medical kit, and began treating her friend’s face, which was even more severely injured than her husband’s.

Victoria pursed her lips and gently applied the ointment to her friend’s cheek. "Ansel, didn’t you say you were good at fighting? If Matthias hadn’t helped you, you wouldn’t have been able to fight on your own!"

Ansel smiled sheepishly as he looked at Matthias, who continued to display a gloomy expression. "That’s why I called Matthias to help me. I’m actually good at fighting, but I’m not good at fighting gangsters."

"Looks like I’ll have to teach you how to fight next time, Ansel!" Matthias quipped, looking away.

"Victoria, actually, when I called Matthias to report this, he was really panicked. He even kept yelling over the phone, asking where I was. He was so afraid of losing you."

Victoria looked at her husband anxiously. Now she moved closer to her beloved husband and began applying the ointment to his handsome face. "Matty, are you angry?"

"Of course I’m angry!"

A mischievous smile spread across her beautiful face. "Are you jealous because I treated Ansel first?"

Matthias nodded. "Actually, I’m not stopping you from treating him, since he was the main hero in saving you. But at least you cared about me after I beat Anton up so hard!"

Victoria immediately kissed her husband’s deeply bruised cheek. "Are you still angry with this special ointment?"

At first, Matthias wanted to be angry, but his expression transformed into a beaming smile. Of course, he also kissed his wife’s cheek deeply.

"Now you are very good at taming my heart."

"Sorry, I treated Ansel first because I was worried about him too."

Ansel shifted his body and patted Matthias’ shoulder. "Now my duty as your bodyguard is done. Matthias won’t go crazy again."

"But, I’m actually confused. Why did Anton suddenly attack you again?"
