The other two men had transformed into two giant wolves, or rather, North American gray wolves. These wolves were the largest in the world, and when standing on their hind legs, their bodies were even taller than a human.
It was clear that these three were all beastmen. The one who had transformed into a bear was named Byers, and the other two wolfmen were the Wolf brothers. Not long ago, Bice had personally traveled to the forests of northern America to invite these three out of seclusion.
These three were also arguably the most skilled melee fighters within the Dark Altar.
The three of them coordinated their attacks with remarkable默契 (mòqì - tacit understanding) and clear division of labor. Without even exchanging glances, they each lunged towards their respective targets.
The giant bear Byers rose to his feet and charged directly at Ling Tian, while the Wolf brothers attacked from both sides, flanking and rushing towards A Li.
These two beastmen knew very well that the little girl dressed as a cat, despite her cute appearance, was actually exceptionally dangerous!
Seeing the two wolfmen charging at her, A Li smiled, her small fangs glinting with cold light. Her hands hung by her sides, and with a *kacha* sound, a pair of blade claws, crafted by Ling Tian for her, appeared in her hands.
A Li's figure flickered as she charged towards the two wolfmen, and the three immediately clashed.
On the other side, facing the charging giant bear, Ling Tian sneered. He raised his hand and cast a Burst Fire Talisman, sending a fist-sized fireball directly towards the giant bear.
"Boom!"
The fireball exploded on impact, engulfing the bearman Byers in a massive inferno.
However, Ling Tian noticed that the fur on Byers' body seemed to be covered by a layer of energy, which had shielded him from the force of the explosion!
The flames quickly dissipated, leaving a faint scent of burnt hair in the air. Ling Tian was astonished to find that the giant gray bear before him, having taken a direct hit from his Burst Fire Talisman, had only suffered minor scorching of its fur and no substantial damage whatsoever!
Ling Tian, however, did not lose heart, as he had plenty of other attack methods. He suddenly raised his hand, forming a hand seal, and then three Fan Tian Seals, which were essentially bricks, shot out from his hand!
"Hiss! Hiss! Hiss!"
These three bricks were made of bluestone and were incredibly heavy. They could easily crack a person's skull if they hit.
Especially with Ling Tian's internal energy empowering them, these three bricks, when thrown, possessed the speed and power of cannonballs.
"Pa! Pa! Pa!"
All three bricks struck Byers, but they were all deflected, then fell to the ground and shattered. Looking at the giant bear Byers, he appeared completely unharmed.
The giant bear's thick fur possessed astonishing defensive capabilities. One should not underestimate the fur of animals; it is precisely this fur that grants animals defensive power far exceeding that of humans.
The dense fur, with its interwoven roots, made animal skin far stronger than human skin.
It was precisely the lack of such dense fur that made humans so vulnerable to being disemboweled by a single swipe from a ferocious beast.
Furthermore, beneath the giant bear's fur lay a thick layer of fat, allowing these fierce beasts to survive temporarily in extremely cold regions.
The giant bear Byers reached Ling Tian in an instant, raising his paws like he was swatting a fly, aiming for Ling Tian's head.
Ling Tian dodged, and his long spear, Po Yue, appeared in his hand. He thrust it towards the bear's back.
However, this meticulously crafted long spear only managed to inflict a minor wound on the giant bear!
Ling Tian could clearly feel a peculiar power on the giant bear that was resisting the attack of the Po Yue spear!
Ling Tian had no time to ponder. Byers turned and swung another bear paw at Ling Tian. This time, Ling Tian took half a step back, stomped his feet forcefully, and leaped into the air, directly aiming for the giant bear's left eye.
However, the giant bear's agility exceeded Ling Tian's expectations. The bear raised its claw and directly deflected Ling Tian's spear. Ling Tian quickly retracted his spear and then thrust it out again, channeling his internal energy to the tip of the spear and aiming for the giant bear's chest.
The result was the same. The spear's attack was largely nullified by a layer of energy on the giant bear's body, only leaving a slight bloodstain on its chest skin.
An attack of this magnitude would be akin to a mosquito bite on an ordinary human, though perhaps slightly more severe. Still, it was only marginally so!
Byers, filled with ferocity, launched a fierce assault on Ling Tian. Ling Tian used his footwork and evasive maneuvers to skillfully strike the giant bear with his spear.
However, after fighting for a considerable time, Ling Tian had used almost all his common attack methods, but they proved utterly useless against the giant bear. Its defensive capabilities were simply too monstrous!
In addition to the giant bear's inherent defenses, the layer of energy surrounding its body also gave Ling Tian a significant headache. It was this energy that blocked most of his magical attacks and severely reduced the effectiveness of his spear.
Of course, Ling Tian had other means, such as utilizing his Fire Spirit or the Ice Soul, but he was reluctant to employ them. These were his true trump cards, and he intended to use them only when absolutely necessary.
From a distance, Bice and the others finally showed some smiles as they observed the battle.
Ling Tian had been fighting the giant bear Byers for less than a minute, and to them, he already seemed to be in perilous situations. It was only Ling Tian's peculiar footwork and swift movements that allowed him to narrowly evade the bear's attacks on several occasions.
Moreover, these onlookers now regarded Ling Tian with a gaze filled with fervent desire. They had noticed that Ling Tian likely possessed spatial equipment, otherwise, how could the Po Yue spear in his hand have simply vanished and reappeared?
It was well-known that spatial storage equipment, capable of storing items, was an extremely valuable strategic resource, whether in the East or West, ancient or modern times.
Who wouldn't desire a treasure that allowed them to carry a large quantity of items and retrieve them at will?
As far as they knew, there were no more than five such items capable of spatial storage in existence today. The owners of these five items were beings far beyond their reach.
Yet, they now discovered that Ling Tian possessed such a treasure, how could they not be overjoyed?
Just then, with a flash of thought, Ling Tian's spear vanished, replaced by a sword with a body of pure crimson.
This sword was Ling Tian's Crimson Flame Treasure Sword! And this sword was also Ling Tian's Natal Flying Sword!
