Chapter 48 Fanatic Fans

A middle school student with bangs and a round face.

She was still in her school uniform, carrying a backpack, her eyes full of malice. Seeing Li Mengxiao, she rushed forward, intending to slap her, but was quickly stopped by alert police officers.

"Bitch!" Even though she was restrained, the student continued to curse loudly, "Shameless slut! Seducing my idol, why don't you just die!"

Hearing this, Li Mengxiao was completely bewildered. She hadn't been in the industry for long, and could count the artists she was truly familiar with on one hand. The only one she was close to was the artist Xia Qingtian.

When had she seduced an idol?

The student, seemingly having lost her mind, kept lunging forward. Eventually, the police had to pull her away, ensuring Li Mengxiao's safety.

Soon, the student's parents arrived, their attitude arrogant. The father immediately said, "My child is a minor. It was just a childish prank. If you have the guts, arrest her, and it'll save us the trouble!"

The scene became chaotic and noisy.

Finally, the police supervisor invited Xia Qingtian and her two companions aside and explained the situation.

It turned out this wasn't the first time the girl had done something like this.

She was an extremely fanatical sasaeng fan. Previously, she had injured someone, and her family had compensated the victim. As she was a minor, she wasn't subjected to criminal prosecution.

After that incident, the sasaeng fan had only resorted to harassment, causing trouble at people's homes, but hadn't harmed anyone else.

"Anyway, my birthday hasn't passed yet, I'm not even 14! What can you do to me?" the student yelled, "She's the shameless one! I'm going to teach this little slut a lesson! I am justice! So what! You police are useless and can't deal with such bitches! I'm exercising justice! So what!"

Her emotions seemed to be getting the better of her, her voice cracking.

Finally, an older police officer shouted, "What are you yelling about! Your birthday is tomorrow according to your ID! Believe it or not, I can stall this case right now and process it tomorrow, locking you up for a few years!"

At the old policeman's roar, the student and her family faltered, and immediately quieted down.

"Exercising justice? What right do you have to exercise justice? What you're doing is justice?" the old policeman snorted, placing his teacup on the table and saying coldly, "Apologize quickly! Pay the compensation honestly! Otherwise, if this blows up, you'll have a criminal record at such a young age, and where will you cry then! Instead of focusing on your studies, you're talking about exercising justice? What a joke!"

With the old police officer's mediation, the rest of the matter proceeded more smoothly. The student's parents agreed to a symbolic compensation and to help Li Mengxiao repaint the wall and clean the exterior.

The student, however, gritted her teeth and refused to apologize, her eyes glinting with murderous intent.

Li Mengxiao still looked dazed, as if this was her first time encountering such a situation, unsure of what to do.

"We do not accept any negotiation," Xia Qingtian stated. "As discussed earlier, let the case be held until tomorrow. We don't care about compensation; I want her to have a criminal record!"

"You! How can you be so vicious, woman!" the parent exclaimed, their face changing, "She's just a child!"

"She's not my child, what does she have to do with me?" Xia Qingtian retorted sarcastically, "Besides, judging by her behavior, today won't be the last time she harasses my friend. Why waste national resources and trouble Uncle Police when we can settle this once and for all today?"

Xia Qingtian's words made the student's entire family turn pale.

"After all, who wouldn't want to exercise justice?" Xia Qingtian said with a mocking smirk.

"You! You bitch! You're all in cahoots! None of you are good people! You just wait! I'm going to kill you! I will kill you!" the student shrieked shrilly.

"Isn't this already a threat?" Xia Qingtian asked calmly, glancing at her watch and smiling, "I have plenty of time, we can take our time with this. I don't mind staying here until tomorrow."

While Xia Qingtian claimed to have time, the student's family did not have the luxury of waiting her out.

Seeing Xia Qingtian's demeanor, the parent feigned hitting their child on the back and cursed a few times, urging her to apologize to Xia Qingtian.

The student remained silent, but Xia Qingtian mockingly said, "What? Afraid of wrinkling your clothes with too much force? How much does that school uniform cost? Is it a designer brand or haute couture?"

Upon hearing Xia Qingtian's remark, the parent gritted their teeth and delivered two forceful slaps to their child's face.

After the slaps, the parent, with a grim expression, turned to Xia Qingtian.

"Children make mistakes, a verbal reprimand and some education should suffice. Physical discipline is never good," Xia Qingtian said in a nonchalant tone, nearly suffocating the previously arrogant parent.

The middle school student, having received the slaps, looked shocked and bewildered. She wanted to throw a tantrum but saw the darkening faces of her parents, realizing this incident was far more serious than her previous transgressions.

Despite her extreme unwillingness, she bowed her proud head and apologized to Xia Qingtian and Li Mengxiao.

Seeing that Li Mengxiao had no intention of pursuing the matter further, Xia Qingtian then said, "I want a handwritten apology letter and a letter of guarantee from her, ensuring she will no longer harass my friend."

Xia Qingtian's request was not unreasonable. The parents knew Xia Qingtian was likely a tough nut to crack. They began to scold their daughter, urging her to quickly write the guarantee and apology letter, all while blaming the celebrities for ruining their good child.

Their obsession with chasing stars had robbed them of all reason.

"I forbid you from speaking ill of Ling Fenghan!" The student, who had been outwardly submissive, held the pen and dutifully wrote the apology letter and guarantee.

The moment she heard her parents mention her idol, the student became agitated, her voice raising considerably. She pointed a finger at her parents' noses, her voice trembling, "You have no right to talk about my idol! Do you know how hard he works!"

Seeing their child like this, the parents immediately became as subdued as extinguished firecrackers, even attempting to pacify her with comforting words.

The student angrily finished writing the apology letter and guarantee, slapped them onto the table, and walked away as if she had suffered immense injustice.

The mother immediately chased after her, murmuring words of comfort.

The father, looking mortified, signed the documents according to protocol before leaving.

Xia Qingtian picked up the apology letter and guarantee, her mouth twitching. "The handwriting is bad enough... but they even used so much Pinyin..."

If only she had put a little more effort into her studies, she wouldn't have written like this.
