Hua Zi repeated, "I'm asking for another favor from you. With the previous one, you owe me a total of two favors!"
This guy. Li Chonglou glanced at Hua Zi with a hint of surprise. He truly hadn't expected this fellow's reaction to be so swift.
He realized how important his favors were so quickly?
Finally retracting his thoughtful gaze, Li Chonglou nodded calmly, "No problem, I promise."
Hua Zi said nothing further and walked directly towards the unconscious Wei En.
The way in was naturally no difficulty for him. After slinging Wei En over his shoulder, Hua Zi turned to leave, leaving only a single sentence.
"I'll be back within six hours."
He hadn't said "I'll try," and his tone didn't even carry a hint of worry, meaning he was one hundred percent confident in this matter.
"Wait a moment."
Only after giving some instructions did Li Chonglou let him leave.
Watching his retreating back, Li Chonglou's eyes narrowed slightly.
"This guy is truly not simple. Even as an outsider, he harbors ulterior motives, and he even has informants within the camp. Could it be..."
A bold guess suddenly arose in Li Chonglou's mind, but with insufficient evidence, he couldn't confirm it. He could only suppress this conjecture in his heart.
He dared not dwell on it!
Without irrefutable evidence, this matter could easily affect his judgment!
Li Chonglou sat down cross-legged, partly to stabilize his inner turmoil and partly to recover from his exhaustion.
From the moment he entered, he had been integrating with En Si's soul. Fortunately, he had killed a few people and obtained a sliver of residual soul; otherwise, he likely wouldn't have been able to withstand the consumption.
However, even so, without actively recovering, there was a high probability of experiencing the previous side effects.
Another reason was that Li Chonglou also wanted to use this time to study his Heavenly Eye Perspective divine ability.
It was completely different from when he was in the Lost Land. In this underground world, he hadn't perceived his Heavenly Eye Perspective divine ability to be completely lost; he just didn't know why he couldn't activate it.
If this problem could truly be resolved, he would possess genuine self-preservation capabilities in this underground world!
As for the two people lying unconscious beside him, Li Chonglou had already sealed their acupoints. As long as there was no external disturbance, they wouldn't wake for three days and three nights.
Just as Li Chonglou was meditating and contemplating, Hua Zi also returned to the surface carrying the equally unconscious Wei En.
Although everything had been communicated, his expression remained somewhat somber.
After carrying Wei En for a distance, Hua Zi couldn't help but ask in his mind, "Senior, can you hear me?"
The term "senior" wasn't a label he used for any stranger he met, but rather a form of respect. Hua Zi felt that experts generally liked to be addressed as seniors.
He didn't realize that he had inadvertently stumbled upon the right way to address him.
With their consciousnesses linked, Lao Lin could seamlessly connect to most of Hua Zi's thoughts, but he did not respond.
I've seen major events before; do these small tricks still think they can deceive me?
As Hua Zi shifted his weight, Lao Lin knew what he intended. This question was entirely a test to see if he could observe his thoughts. If he were to respond, Hua Zi would inevitably harbor some subtle intentions to deal with him!
It was better to pretend ignorance and see if this fellow harbored any ulterior motives!
Besides this, Lao Lin also secretly borrowed his vision. Although not as free as controlling it himself, he had at least managed to appreciate this underground world he had never heard of.
"Isn't this similar to a primeval forest? Is it really as mysterious as Xiao Li says?"
To be honest, the environment of the underground world wasn't significantly different from the surface. This "not significantly different" wasn't to say they were exactly the same, but rather that many things had models for comparison in the surface world.
To put it plainly, the underground world didn't give people a sense of overwhelming amazement.
As for the towering trees, there were similar existences in many primeval forests on the surface. Although not as numerous as here, at least they weren't unseen.
Actually, Lao Lin was unaware that the true震撼 of the underground world wasn't its visual aspect but the physical sensation it evoked.
However, it was difficult to perceive this through shared vision alone, as Lao Lin had not forcibly shared all his senses.
And seeing that Lao Lin remained silent, Hua Zi secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
"It seems he can only control my sea of consciousness, or if he wanted to possess my mind, there would definitely be some movement!"
Either of these points could give him considerable peace of mind, as it at least meant he wouldn't be monitored silently.
Afterward, Hua Zi didn't continue forward. Instead, he gathered some unknown plants on the spot and broke them from their roots.
A viscous green sap immediately coated his hands. Hua Zi proceeded to smear it onto Wei En's face.
"Since you know Lord Qixing, I dare not openly parade you around."
Hua Zi muttered, and after a few manipulations, Wei En's entire appearance changed. His features were completely covered by a layer of green liquid, leaving only a general outline visible.
With this appearance, even his own mother would absolutely not recognize him!
After completing this, Hua Zi took dew from the heart of a flower from another plant, washed off the green sap on his hands, and then slung Wei En over his shoulder again.
He proceeded towards Camp Number Three, walking for another ten minutes or so. Throughout this journey, Hua Zi didn't use his internal energy, relying solely on his leg strength.
Suddenly, a faint sound came from ahead. Hua Zi stopped in his tracks, unfazed.
Two figures emerged from the dense forest—two middle-aged men. Their auras flickered subtly, but they instilled a sense of unease.
Both held long swords. One of them, squinting, stared at Hua Zi, "What are you going in for?"
Hua Zi honestly placed Wei En on the ground. "Reporting to the lords, my companion and I had an accident. To protect our treasures, I wish to bring him in to recuperate until the black spirit period passes."
The two exchanged glances and finally lowered their swords.
"Very well. Men die for wealth. Those who can hold onto their desires have at least taken fewer detours in their state of mind. You may enter."
Hua Zi expressed his gratitude repeatedly, slung Wei En over his shoulder again, and then slowly disappeared from their sight.
"Why does this kid look a bit unfamiliar? But his aura is indeed one of our own."
"Perhaps he doesn't spend much time in the camp. However, with such a mindset, he's quite good. Our biggest weakness is having too many high-energy, low-skill individuals."
One of them sighed, "It can't be helped. Black spirits inherently have a side effect of suppressing one's will, coupled with the influence of black souls. Unless they've come from outside, they all become very sluggish."
"More than sluggish, they're like imbeciles! They clearly have a talent level of at least six, yet they're all stuck at level four. Some of them, even at level two, can't defeat them!"
