Chapter 234 I am Drunk

Ye Luan said angrily, "You're drunk, are you here to cause trouble?"

He remained silent, his warm lips brushing against her cheek. The air around them was so thick with intimacy it was almost suffocating.

She was pinned down by his strong, tall body, his entire weight pressing down on her, making it difficult to breathe.

"I haven't slept for two days. I want to sleep holding you."

Ye Luan took a deep breath and pushed him. "Get up first, you're crushing me."

He hesitated for a moment, then propped himself up slightly, trapping her beneath him.

Seeing this, she glared at him, "Stop pretending. You're not drunk at all."

That crazy lunatic, always scheming, no matter the time.

Hearing this, Xiao Chi Zhan rolled over, pushing her to the inner side of the bed, and then lay down on the outside, hugging her from behind.

"I'm drunk."

What the hell?!

Ye Luan gritted her teeth and tried to pry his hands off. "Let go of me."

"Luan Luan, stop moving. I feel so unwell."

As he spoke, she immediately sensed something and her back stiffened, she dared not move any further.

Ye Luan said angrily, "Stop this madness. Go back to your prince's mansion. I need to sleep."

That crazy lunatic, coming to bother her again in the middle of the night!

Xiao Chi Zhan remained silent, holding her tightly from behind, so tightly there was no space between them.

"Hiss, you're going to break my waist."

He ignored her words, burying his face in the crook of her neck, his lips brushing against her skin, hot and searing.

"Luan Luan, I'm so sleepy. Let's sleep."

"Sleep? Get up and go back to your prince's mansion."

Ye Luan struggled forcefully, but to no avail.

"Xiao Chi Zhan, this is the Zhenguo Duke's mansion. If this gets out, how will I face anyone?"

His low voice came from behind, "I won't be discovered."

Ye Luan heard his clear and coherent words, and angrily retorted, "You're lying to me again. You're not drunk at all."

"I am drunk. I drank a lot. When I close my eyes, all I see is you. I can't sleep."

She truly couldn't tell which of this lunatic's words were true and which were false.

Ye Luan said, "It has nothing to do with me that you can't sleep. I'm going to sleep. You should leave quickly."

Behind her, there was no movement for a long time.

If not for the unyielding grip around her waist, she would have suspected he had fallen asleep.

"If you don't get up, I'm going to get rough."

Her gaze was cold as she forcefully jabbed her elbow into his chest. He grunted but didn't loosen his hold, holding her even tighter.

Ye Luan was furious and kicked him, struggling violently.

His grip was swift, trapping her thrashing legs, and his arms secured her, locking her firmly in his embrace.

This struggle caused beads of sweat to appear on Ye Luan's forehead.

Faint moonlight streamed through the window, casting a glow upon them.

She looked up at the waning moon outside the window, gasping for air.

"Luan Luan, I can't hold back anymore."

His voice was tender, yet laced with a manic obsession that made Ye Luan tremble.

She turned her head to the side and saw the faint redness at the corners of his eyes. His eyes, his face, showed no signs of drunkenness; they were filled with a wild madness.

Perhaps he hadn't expected her sudden turn, the terrifying possessiveness in his eyes not yet faded.

Instantly, he lowered his gaze, concealing it, and buried his head in her shoulder, nuzzling her skin. The stubble on his chin tickled her slightly.

Ye Luan remained silent, ignoring his actions.

To be entangled with such a madman, her life was already set.

She understood his meaning. He had endured enough and no longer wanted to continue like this. A madman was a madman; he could feign for a while, but not forever.

"Let go of me. I need to wash up."

He murmured, "I don't want to let go."

Ye Luan said, "Then I'll chop off your hand."

Xiao Chi Zhan lightly nodded his head buried in her shoulder.

"Then get out of the way. I'll get a knife and chop it off for you."

As soon as she finished speaking, he suddenly produced a dagger and placed it in her hand.

Ye Luan felt the thin, delicate knife, but she couldn't see what it looked like as he held her so tightly.

Impatiently, she pushed him slightly, bracing one hand against his chest, and raised her hand to examine the knife.

In the soft moonlight, the curved blade exuded a chilling murderous intent. Its shape was peculiar, the blade as thin as a cicada's wing, and the hilt was dark red, engraved with intricate patterns that seemed to have been nourished by blood, deep and shallow.

She drew the blade and discovered a small mechanism on the side, concealing poison.

"This is called the Poisonous Dagger Frost Blade, forged from celestial cold meteorite. You can use it."

Hearing this, Ye Luan was taken aback. She sheathed the knife and returned it to him.

"No need."

Xiao Chi Zhan paid no heed, casually placing the dagger on the bedside table and closing his eyes again.

Ye Luan kicked him. "If you want to sleep, sleep. Let go of me. I need to wash up."

She couldn't sleep without washing up.

"Oh."

He slightly loosened his grip.

Freed from his restraint, Ye Luan sprang off the bed, grabbed clean inner clothes, and headed for the washroom.

Given the lunatic was present, she bolted several locks before confidently undressing to wash.

When she emerged from the washroom, he was still curled up on the couch.

His body was tall, and the couch was indeed a bit small for him.

Serves him right!

Who told him to come here and suffer willingly!

"You should go back and sleep. That couch is too cramped."

There was no response.

Ye Luan took a few steps closer and finally heard his long, faint breaths. She pursed her lips; he had actually fallen asleep.

Seeing this, she pulled her clothes tighter and walked towards the bed.

Lying on the soft bed, Ye Luan tossed and turned, unable to sleep.

She glanced at the man lying on the couch, wearing only thin clothes, through the bed curtains. Her heart felt a pang of annoyance. One of the window panes was still open. Although it was almost June, the nights were still quite cold.

She took a deep breath and cursed inwardly.

That crazy lunatic, always coming here to make trouble for her.

She got off the bed, slipped on her shoes, took a quilt from the wardrobe, and went to the couch to cover him. She then closed the open window before returning to her bed.

After lying down, Ye Luan also felt sleepy and slowly drifted off to sleep.

The next day, as the faint morning light, shafts of sunlight, pierced through the window, Ye Luan suddenly realized something in her sleep and quickly opened her eyes, sitting up abruptly.

"Awake?!"

Xiao Chi Zhan was sitting by the bed, his seductive red eyes fixed on her with a smile.

Ye Luan said angrily, "Why are you still here?"

"It's still early. I wanted to wait for you to wake up so we could have breakfast together."

"Have you no shame? This is the Zhenguo Duke's mansion. Do you still want to eat here with me? Aren't you afraid of being drowned in spit."

Xiao Chi Zhan said, "Then come out and eat with me."

Ye Luan kicked him. "Get out of here quickly."

He remained silent, just staring at her.

Ye Luan followed his gaze with suspicion, her face flushing. She immediately pulled her clothes tighter and was about to kick him away when he grabbed her ankle, his shameless fingers caressing it.

"Xiao Chi Zhan! Can your face get any thicker?"

She struggled, but he gripped her tighter.

He kneaded her foot with light pressure, saying, "I'm not shameless. If I can't even see you, what else can I do?"
