Chapter 744 Could They Be Pursuing Them?

"They're all asleep upstairs."

Fu Qingyun poured them both a cup of tea and then sat alone on the sofa.

After changing into their pajamas, Lin Yan and Su Mojin also sat on the sofa. Both were tired from the day's travel. Lin Yan was eager to go upstairs to see his precious daughter and son, but Fu Qingyun stopped him.

"What's the rush? Wait until I'm done. Your father wants you to inspect the company tomorrow. He's unhappy that you've been cooped up at home lately. He wants you to shift your focus to the company."

Sitting on the sofa, Fu Qingyun spoke earnestly.

"Okay, I know, Mom. Is there anything else?"

Seeing Lin Yan's anxious look, Fu Qingyun glared at him, and Su Mojin stifled a laugh beside him.

"Alright, go. You never came when I was looking after them before. What's the hurry now?"

Given his mother's permission, Lin Yan rushed to the second floor. He carefully pushed open a bedroom door, not turning on the light, and quietly walked in, using the faint light from outside.

Yu An and Yu Ning lay side-by-side in the crib. Their fair little faces were upturned, and Yu Ning's leg was draped over his brother's body. Lin Yan was truly captivated by the siblings' appearance when he approached.

They were so adorable, so adorable that Lin Yan wanted to kiss them.

The two darlings were still fast asleep, so Lin Yan didn't disturb them. He took two tissues from the cabinet beside the bed and wiped the corners of their mouths. After kissing each of them, he slowly sat by the bedside, doing nothing else but quietly watching the two little babies in the crib.

Just watching them, Lin Yan felt like he was melting.

Looking at his precious daughter and son, Lin Yan's lips curved upwards involuntarily.

After a while, Su Mojin also walked in, equally quietly, and slowly sat down next to Lin Yan.

"I was thinking, maybe I should take care of the children this time."

After watching for a while in the room, Su Mojin spoke. Taking care of children was her responsibility, and she missed Yu An and Yu Ning, whom she hadn't seen in so long.

"Are you sure you can get away?"

Lin Yan turned to Su Mojin and whispered.

"Well... if I can't, we can leave it to Aunt Yun. I'm afraid the children will become distant from us as they grow up."

Su Mojin pouted, speaking with a hint of determination.

After listening, Lin Yan nodded silently. Su Mojin's words were not without reason. He was mainly concerned that Su Mojin would be too tired looking after the company and the children.

They sat in the room for a while before leaving, quietly closing the door. This was Fu Qingyun's room, and the children were already fast asleep, so changing rooms tonight was not appropriate.

After washing up, Lin Yan and Su Mojin returned to their own room.

....................................................................

The next morning, Fu Qingyun left. The responsibility of looking after the children fell entirely to Su Mojin and Lin Yan.

"Come on, Yu An, open your mouth, ah?"

Lin Yan ate breakfast alone. Su Mojin had to busy herself feeding the two children, two bottles, one for Yu An and one for Yu Ning.

Even though the milk powder was high-quality imported goods, feeding the two children was still a very difficult task. Seeing Su Mojin flustered, Lin Yan also put down his bowl and chopsticks to help.

"Yu Ning, put your leg down. Where are you kicking?"

"Yu An, be good."

The bed was at six o'clock, and Lin Yan left the house at nine. He spent nearly three hours just eating. Lin Yan was speechless. Indeed, taking care of children wasn't that easy.

People without patience really couldn't do it.

When Lin Yan arrived at the racetrack, Reis Naren and the others were already on the track training. They were quite diligent.

Lin Yan didn't go onto the track immediately. Instead, he turned and went to the adjacent medical building. Li Mengyao and Li Tielong were still inside.

They were settled in a nearby hospital, and someone needed to guard the racetrack. There was a dedicated medical building with doctors, so settling them here was just right.

On the fifth floor, in the inpatient ward, Lin Yan pushed open the door and walked in.

When Lin Yan entered, Li Mengyao was still lying in bed, receiving an IV drip.

Li Tielong sat by the bedside, peeling an apple for his sister. Since Li Mengyao was still recovering, Lin Yan hadn't assigned any work to Li Tielong, only asking him to take good care of his sister in the ward.

"Boss, you're here!"

Li Tielong was facing the door, and Lin Yan was seen by him as soon as he entered. He quickly stood up to greet him.

"Mm, you continue with your work. I'm just here to take a look."

"How is your sister's injury?"

Lin Yan glanced at Li Mengyao on the bed. Li Mengyao had been watching TV on her phone and put it away when he came in.

"Thanks to you, boss, my sister's surgery and recovery are going very well. The doctor estimates she'll be fully recovered in about a month."

At this, Li Tielong was clearly happy, a smile unconsciously appearing on his face.

"A month?"

Lin Yan raised his eyebrows slightly. This recovery speed was almost comparable to his. It seemed this woman's constitution was indeed good.

"Yes, boss. In a few days, I won't need to take care of her anymore. Could you arrange some work for me?"

Li Tielong understood a principle: the more capable people were, the less they kept idle people. He had to create some value for himself.

"No rush."

Lin Yan pulled up a chair and sat down in the ward.

"I've already arranged your job. You'll be a track marshal at the racetrack at the foot of the mountain, earning two thousand dollars a month."

Crossing his legs, Lin Yan said casually.

"Two... two thousand dollars? Boss, are you kidding me?"

Two thousand dollars. The amount shocked Li Tielong. This translated to over ten thousand Chinese yuan a month, a high-paying job.

Li Tielong was startled.

He didn't know if it was high-paying in Kyoto, but for him, it was definitely a high salary.

Even Li Mengyao on the bed looked over at Lin Yan.

"Boss, what does a track marshal do?"

Li Tielong asked cautiously, afraid that his words might displease Lin Yan.

"You're basically a trash collector at the racetrack. But don't be too relaxed. Picking up trash on the track isn't entirely safe. This job can also be life-threatening."

Lin Yan was right. Cars whizzed by on the track. If a driver hit you without seeing you, it would be almost fatal. Being hit while wearing a leather suit would likely be fatal, let alone a staff member not wearing one. Therefore, being a track marshal also carried certain risks.

Of course, track marshals don't just wander around in the buffer zones. They are usually outside the track, and only go in to clear wreckage when there's a crash.

Hearing that he would be picking up trash on the track, Li Tielong immediately understood. Although he had only arrived yesterday, he hadn't stayed in the hospital the whole time and had occasionally gone out. Naturally, he had seen the track marshals Lin Yan mentioned. As for the danger Lin Yan spoke of, Li Tielong didn't care.

He wasn't blind. Although it sounded dangerous, as long as he didn't wander onto the track and only picked things up in the buffer zones, who would intentionally hit him? They were all professional drivers.

In short, there was danger in everything, and one just had to be careful.

"Don't worry, boss. I will definitely be competent in this job."

Li Tielong promised with his hand raised, looking somewhat simple-minded.

Li Tielong understood what was happening, but Li Mengyao didn't. Hearing about the life-threatening danger, she became worried for her brother.

"Alright, this matter is settled. Now let's talk about the main issue. I want to know what exactly you did to get in trouble with your organization."

After discussing the job, Lin Yan moved on to another matter.

"What's wrong, boss? Are they chasing after us?"
