Chapter 103 Ghost Fire Youth

"Alright, alright, I'll buy them all for you!"

Lin Yan smiled and readily agreed. He hadn't eaten these home-style dishes in a long time and was looking forward to trying them.

"Why are you sending voice messages?"

Lin Yan was puzzled. This was the first time Su Mojin had sent him a voice message.

After sending the message, a reply came back quickly.

It was another voice message. Lin Yan tapped it open.

"Um, the nurse is changing my dressing, and it's inconvenient for me to type with one hand. What's up?"

Lin Yan held the phone's speaker to his ear. The soft, sweet voice came again. Lin Yan couldn't help but grin and typed back.

"Then get some good rest. I'll come see you after I land."

The reply was another voice message.

"Mhm, okay, Brother Yan! I'll miss you."

The last few words were clearly spoken with a bit of shyness, much softer.

Hearing Su Mojin's delicate and shy voice, Lin Yan felt he really couldn't chat anymore. If they continued, he felt his adrenaline would skyrocket.

He put his phone back in his pocket, stretched his arms, and turned to look out the window.

The sky, like a sapphire, was dotted with clouds like snow.

They drifted carefree across the sky, sometimes dense, sometimes light, sometimes gathering, sometimes scattering.

Seeing such a scene, one's mood naturally lifted.

Lin Yan shifted his gaze back, leaned against the chair, and fell asleep.

His physical exertion had been too great, and he was tired.

As time passed, the plane landed smoothly at exactly five-thirty.

It was the same airport they had departed from.

Lin Yan stretched and stood up from his seat. Li Wei had woken him up. Lin Yan straightened his collar and got off the plane.

The sky was already dimming, but since it was summer, it was still a while before it got completely dark.

Arriving at the parking lot, Lin Yan greeted Zhang Mingzhi and the others, saying he had something to attend to and wouldn't be joining them.

Lin Yan thought that if they postponed their plans because of him, it might not be very good, so he decided not to go at all.

Zhang Mingzhi had no objections and readily agreed. It was normal for the young master to not have time for a gathering; wealthy young masters were very busy.

It was already a great courtesy for him to inform them.

After making his arrangements, Lin Yan and Li Wei got into the Bentley they had arrived in.

The RC8 was still parked in the garage; Lin Yan hadn't driven it when he came. The "King of Soldiers" quartet behind them were still in the Mercedes G-wagon.

Lin Yan sat in the back seat of the Bentley, closed the door, and said to Li Wei, who was driving,

"Find a few home-style restaurants nearby."

Lin Yan knew about dishes like Mapo Tofu and Fish-Fragrant Pork, which were home-style delicacies he enjoyed. However, he didn't know about snacks like "Wife Cakes."

But judging by the name, it should be a type of pastry. He assumed the restaurants would have them, as they couldn't possibly not have pastries.

"Yes, Young Master."

Hearing his young master's command, Li Wei started to turn the car around to look for nearby home-style restaurants.

They were in the East District Airport. Airports were generally built on the outskirts of the city, in the older districts, which made it the most mixed and chaotic area.

Although the buildings were a bit old, there were quite a few restaurants.

However, it was mealtime, and there were quite a few people. Seeing the small restaurant packed with customers, Lin Yan frowned.

"Forget it, let's try another one."

Just as Lin Yan was about to open the car door to go to the second restaurant, he suddenly remembered that the Lin family owned a hotel.

Really, why not just call the hotel to deliver the food? It would be more convenient, clean, and hygienic.

Lin Yan remembered that the manager of Jialin Hotel had called him before.

Lin Yan took out his phone and started searching his contacts. He searched for a long time but couldn't find it. Instead, he found the number of Jialin's general manager and decided to call him directly.

His call startled Jialin's general manager. It was already around six o'clock, and the manager was on his way home after work.

He thought Lin Yan had something important to discuss, but it turned out he just wanted him to deliver some food.

What the heck... Isn't being a delivery driver more appealing?

Helplessly, after hanging up, the general manager immediately called the kitchen staff at Jialin Hotel, instructing them to prepare the dishes according to Lin Yan's menu and deliver them, along with a few "Wife Cakes."

Lin Yan put away his phone and got into the car.

He directly told Li Wei to drive to the hospital.

However, just as Li Wei was about to start the car, two mopeds suddenly rushed out from the alley in front of where the Bentley was parked.

At first, Li Wei didn't pay much attention, but then more and more came out, one after another, over a dozen of them. There were fiery red, dark green, and all sorts of colors.

The people on the back of the bikes were holding steel pipes. Not only were the bikes colorful, but their hair was also dyed in various colors, resembling the "non-mainstream" styles from over a decade ago. As soon as Lin Yan closed the door, these people surrounded his car.

Li Wei's reaction was quick. Seeing that the situation was not right, he immediately locked the car doors.

Lin Yan, having just gotten into the car, frowned at the sight. What was going on? A group of "non-mainstream" individuals had surrounded his car. Were they comedians? And they were holding weapons. Had he offended anyone recently?

Wait, could it be that Second Young Master Wei found these people? Lin Yan considered this possibility.

However, these hooligans, seeing that the doors wouldn't open, immediately swung their steel pipes and started smashing the car. They were quick to act, without a single word of nonsense.

But before they could swing more than a few times, Li Wei suddenly stepped on the accelerator. The hooligans, startled, quickly dodged.

The Bentley crashed through the surrounding mopeds and swerved into the adjacent lane.

Seeing the Bentley escape, the leader, a punk with yellow hair, waved his hand. The twenty-odd colorful-haired individuals immediately righted their "war chariots" and prepared to give chase.

Lin Yan's guess was correct. They were indeed the people Wei Shaoting had hired to teach Lin Yan a lesson. Wei Shaoting thought twenty-odd people were more than enough.

The bodyguard from before had staked out the airport for a long time to find Lin Yan. It was because he had dozed off last time that he missed the opportunity for Lin Yan's return, allowing Lin Yan to escape.

This time, he was fully alert. As soon as Lin Yan left the airport, he pulled out his phone and notified the nearby hooligans.

This was how they managed to block Lin Yan.

Just as the leader with yellow hair was about to get on his bike, four burly men suddenly rushed from behind.

The burly man in black, leading the charge, feigned a move and delivered a flying kick with his right foot directly to the yellow-haired leader's ribs.

The yellow-haired leader's body was sent flying several meters into the air, spinning once before crashing to the ground with a yelp.

"Boss!"
