Chapter 81 Chasing Dreams

Soon, the security guard brought the items up.

Su Mojin didn't buy much, just needles and thread, and a set of embroidery supplies. She planned to embroider one herself; handmade items truly conveyed thoughtfulness.

Fortunately, there was a tutorial included, otherwise, she wouldn't have known how.

The nurse, seeing Su Mojin embroidering, wanted to stop her but swallowed her words upon observing Su Mojin's movements.

Due to the wound on her arm, Su Mojin embroidered very slowly. Fortunately, it only required the use of her wrist, so the impact on her arm wasn't significant. However, it did slow her down considerably. But since Lin Yan wouldn't be back until tomorrow, there was still enough time.

After an hour of torment, Lin Yan finally escaped purgatory.

Even with his willpower, he had almost gone mad from the ordeal.

Lying on the bed, his two masters had already left.

Lin Yan didn't feel any immediate effects.

He got up to stretch his limbs and felt around carefully.

It seemed he had improved by a tiny bit, just a tiny bit. He wasn't sure if it was his imagination.

Never mind, recovering his body would be a slow process. He wouldn't dwell on it for now.

He rested on the bed for a while and sent a message to Su Mojin. Seeing no reply, Lin Yan didn't think much of it. He got out of bed and started doing push-ups on the floor.

After a few reps, his arm started to feel uncomfortable.

Lin Yan then switched to sit-ups. After a round of exercise, drenched in sweat, Lin Yan took a shower.

He lay down on the bed again.

Lying on the bed, Lin Yan couldn't help but recall the incident where the H2 was scrapped.

The Kawasaki was no longer drivable. He would likely have to buy another car when he got back, though he could also get one directly from Ducati.

However, Lin Yan had never been particularly interested in Ducati's production models.

It wasn't that Ducati's production bikes were bad, but they tended to get a bit too hot.

He'd think about it when he got back. If necessary, he'd get a BMW S1000RR; he heard they had released a new model in recent years.

Lin Yan hadn't experienced it yet.

What Lin Yan didn't know was that there was a big treasure waiting for him at home.

He glanced at his phone, still no reply from Su Mojin. Lin Yan lay down and fell asleep. He was simply too exhausted today.

Meanwhile, Su Mojin was still engrossed in her embroidery. She was so absorbed that she hadn't checked her phone. Even so, she was far from halfway done.

Looking at the pattern on her hands, which was less than half completed, Su Mojin showed no signs of discouragement. Instead, she embroidered with even greater care.

The nurses in the room had advised her several times, but to no avail. Fortunately, Su Mojin managed to get to sleep relatively early.

Before sleeping, Su Mojin finally saw Lin Yan's message, asking how her arm was.

He had asked in the afternoon, and now again in the evening.

Feeling Lin Yan's concern, Su Mojin's heart fluttered with sweetness.

She replied to Lin Yan's message, sent a final goodnight, and then drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, Lin Yan woke up to see Su Mojin's message but didn't reply. He would see her tonight anyway, so he'd talk then.

Lin Yan exercised for about an hour, and it was already past seven o'clock.

After tidying up and having breakfast, he checked out of the room and went straight to the airport.

Zhang Mingzhi and the others were already loading things onto the plane.

After loading the Ducati V4SP onto the plane,

everyone boarded the aircraft, and soon it took off.

Lin Yan embarked on his journey back home.

Gu Yueyan and Reba would be leaving later, but not too much later. After all, Gu Yueyan needed to be present at the Shanghai station.

Meanwhile, Su Mojin, far away in Kyoto, had already woken up and was embroidering on her hospital bed.

Due to the poor lighting last night, Su Mojin had pricked her finger and drawn blood.

But since Brother Yan was returning tonight, she had to hurry.

Shortly after, breakfast was delivered by the nurse.

Su Mojin set up a small table on her hospital bed, making it more convenient to eat.

The nurse insisted on feeding her, but Su Mojin refused.

It was Xu Xiaoyue who had insisted before; otherwise, she would have been eating by herself long ago. Although eating with one hand was inconvenient, it was still manageable, just slower.

She finished her breakfast in a flash, not eating much due to her haste.

After eating, Su Mojin resumed her needlework.

She continued until noon, when she finally finished.

Looking at her finished work, Su Mojin was quite satisfied.

What Su Mojin had embroidered was a small white deer, symbolizing a safe journey.

It bore the mark of a beloved, gifted by a loving heart.

This was also the intention behind Su Mojin giving the peace charm.

Lin Yan, sitting on the plane, played with the medal in his hand. Compared to a trophy, a medal was quite miniature, about the size of a game coin, likely made of pure gold, and it bore the Isle of Man's emblem.

However, medals were generally not as important as trophies.

As night fell, the plane landed at Kyoto Airport.

By the time they reached Kyoto, it was already seven in the evening.

After Lin Yan disembarked.

He hailed a taxi and headed straight for Su Mojin's hospital.

By the time he arrived at the hospital, it was eight o'clock. He had to admit that Kyoto's traffic was truly congested.

He arrived at Su Mojin's room and knocked on the door.

Lin Yan knocked very lightly, as if afraid of disturbing anyone inside.

A nurse opened the door and let Lin Yan in.

"Brother Yan, you're back!"

Hearing the sound, Su Mojin also looked towards the door and saw Lin Yan standing there.

She quickly sat up straight in her hospital bed.

"How is it? Does it still hurt today?"

Seeing that Su Mojin wasn't resting yet, Lin Yan walked over and asked.

When the anesthetic wore off two afternoons ago, Su Mojin had been in so much pain she almost cried.

"It stopped hurting long ago!"

The moment she saw Lin Yan, Su Mojin even felt as if her arm wound had healed, with no pain at all.

Hearing this,

"That's good."

Lin Yan walked over, sat on a nearby chair, took Su Mojin's other hand, and held it in his palm.

Seeing this, the nurses in the room didn't know whether to stay or leave.

But in the end, she decided to leave first. With the young master here, she wouldn't dare to stay.

Before leaving, the nurse gave them a suggestive glance.

Lin Yan, with his back turned, didn't see it, but Su Mojin did. Her face flushed red, and she quickly withdrew her small hand from Lin Yan's large one.

"Um, Brother Yan, this is for you."

Saying this, Su Mojin retrieved the peace charm from under her pillow and handed it to Lin Yan.

Lin Yan was taken aback by the small object.

What was this? A charm?

"This is a peace charm... um... I made it myself."

Hearing Su Mojin's explanation, Lin Yan finally understood.

Seeing the band-aid on Su Mojin's hand and combining it with her words, Lin Yan guessed the general situation.

"You don't need to do these things next time."

He thought it was not good to hurt her hand making something like this. Lin Yan, being young, naturally didn't believe in such things.

"Oh, okay."

Su Mojin thought Lin Yan didn't like it and felt a little unhappy.

Lin Yan noticed her mood.

He gently patted her head and said softly,

"I like it very much, but please don't hurt your hand again next time."

Hearing that Lin Yan didn't say he disliked it, Su Mojin finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Looking at Lin Yan's actions, Su Mojin gave him a playful glare. Why did Brother Yan always like to pat her head?

"Okay, I'll keep it."

Lin Yan put away the peace charm.

Lin Yan hadn't expected Su Mojin to prepare a gift for him.

Last time it was clothes, then a ring, and now a peace charm. Honestly, these things had significantly boosted Su Mojin's standing in Lin Yan's heart.

"Um, Brother Yan... can I ask why you participated in that competition?"

At this moment, Su Mojin spoke up. To be honest, Su Mojin didn't want Lin Yan to participate in such competitions because they were too dangerous.

Every time she saw Lin Yan speeding on the track, she worried.

Hearing Su Mojin's question, Lin Yan had no intention of hiding anything. He replied,

"To chase a dream, and also to overcome something that has been bothering me."

"A dream? Brother Yan, is your dream to be a race car driver?"
