Chapter 352 Naming the Track

Inside the racetrack, located to the left of the track were two buildings, one tall and one short. The tall one was over ten stories high, almost level with the mountain where Lin Yan’s manor was located.

This tall building was where staff responsible for the racetrack worked and compiled data. The first two floors of the shorter building housed the emergency center, while the upper floors were also used for offices.

A large 'h' logo was painted on the roof of the shorter building, indicating the future location for a rescue helicopter.

As for the other areas of the racetrack, they consisted of grandstands and the pit lane area. The grandstands of this racetrack were equipped with large transparent sunshades and complete facilities. Even the seats were more high-end than those at other racetracks.

Moreover, the area was spacious enough to accommodate over two hundred thousand spectators if packed tightly, almost on par with the racetrack in Modu, or even slightly larger.

The pit lane area was similar, with fifty garages, all standard for a racetrack.

Besides the normal security patrols, several staff members were on the track collecting data. Zhang Qin was among them, leading these official personnel.

Whether a racetrack could operate legally depended on the test results from these individuals. In Lin Yan’s opinion, there shouldn’t be any problems, as he had participated in the design of this racetrack, and its overall structure was definitely reasonable.

However, Lin Yan was now contemplating the name of the racetrack. While delaying it before had been fine, it was about to operate legally, and it couldn’t remain nameless. He would discuss it with his wife when he got back.

After strolling around the pit lane area for a few laps, Lin Yan now hoped that these test personnel would finish quickly so he could run a few laps on the track himself.

“Director Zhang, we still need to find a professional driver to run through this track. Do you have any drivers here?” a member of the official testing team asked Zhang Qin with some difficulty as the process was halfway through. All other aspects had been tested, leaving only the practical experience of the racetrack.

They originally had professional drivers, but unfortunately, the one assigned had taken leave that day due to family matters, and things were rather urgent here…

“This… I’ll try to contact someone as soon as possible.”

Upon hearing this, Zhang Qin hesitated. The young master had indeed instructed her to proceed as quickly as possible, but she didn’t know any race car drivers, and she likely wouldn’t have a good solution in a short time.

After some thought, she took out her phone from her pocket, deciding to ask the young master if he could arrange for a driver.

Lin Yan was walking towards Zhang Qin when her phone suddenly rang. Hearing the ringtone, Zhang Qin turned around and saw Lin Yan.

“Young master, you’re here.”

“Hello, Mr. Lin!”

Upon seeing Lin Yan, the group put down their testing equipment and greeted him.

“What stage are we at now?”

“Uh, young master, we’re just at the final step of testing the racetrack, but we don’t have a professional driver right now.” Zhang Qin said solemnly.

A professional driver? Lin Yan was taken aback. He looked around, questioning if his young master wasn’t a professional driver?

“I’ll do it,” Lin Yan said calmly. He had already guessed why Zhang Qin was calling him; it was likely for this reason.

“No, no, no, Mr. Lin, you can’t go up yourself.” The official personnel nearby became anxious when they saw Lin Yan intending to test the track himself.

It was a joke. He was the future pillar of racing in China; how could he be allowed to undertake such a dangerous testing task? What if something went wrong?

Lin Yan was unconcerned. He trusted his judgment. He had assisted in the design of this racetrack, and every corner was designed perfectly. Besides, this wasn’t a competition; he was just taking it for a spin. With his skills, there would be no problem.

Seeing Lin Yan’s insistence, Zhang Qin and the official personnel couldn’t say much more and could only ask the logistics staff to clean up the track.

Lin Yan arrived at the starting area, got on a specially ordered Yamaha R1, and began warming up the tires.

After the racetrack was built, Zhang Qin had also ordered many race cars and a large batch of racing parts.

This Yamaha R1 was one of the over three hundred race cars ordered.

He installed the testing equipment on the bike, put on a leather suit, and donned his helmet before setting off.

Driving on a track he had personally helped design, Lin Yan felt extremely comfortable, navigating the corners with exceptional fluidity.

Seeing Lin Yan leaning into the curves, the official testing personnel’s eyes all showed admiration. This was the difference professional skill made; he was far superior to the driver they had assigned for testing.

Soon, the real-time data was generated. The testing personnel meticulously analyzed the data on their computers and confirmed that the racetrack had reached a safe operating standard.

They gathered their data and bid farewell to Lin Yan and Zhang Qin. The operating license was expected to be issued the following morning, a remarkably fast process.

After the testing team left, Lin Yan ran a few more laps on the track, performing several hard brakes to his satisfaction.

He dismounted and checked the time. It was past three in the afternoon, nearing four. Xiong Jie had already sent him the location for dinner.

Calling Su Mo Jin, he prepared to head out for the meal.

On the way.

“How is that teacher teaching you?” Lin Yan asked, leaning back against the rear seat of the car and pulling Su Mo Jin into his embrace lazily.

He had some understanding of that financial master and wouldn’t have asked his own father to spend money to invite her otherwise.

“Teacher Blanche’s teaching methods are very good. I understand what she says and the knowledge points almost immediately; they are very easy to grasp…” Hearing Lin Yan mention this, the little girl became animated and spoke incessantly while leaning in his arms.

Shortly after, the car stopped in front of a high-end restaurant.

Juyuan Pavilion.

The name was quite elegant. He hadn’t expected Xiong Jie to be so discerning in choosing a place.

Getting out of the car with Su Mo Jin, she habitually hooked her fair arm through Lin Yan’s.

“Brother Lin, you’re finally here. Oh, and sister-in-law is here too.”

Before Lin Yan could enter, Xiong Jie, who was guarding the entrance, spotted him and rushed over to lead Lin Yan to his private room.

While going upstairs, Lin Yan took in the sights of the high-end restaurant.

The overall design leaned towards classical, and it wasn’t very large, spanning three floors. Judging by the guests in the lobby, the clientele were all high-end individuals, with white-collar workers being the lowest tier.

Leading Lin Yan to a private room on the third floor, he opened the door to find not only Xiong Jie but also several friends from the industry. Judging by their attire, they were all second-generation rich.

Upon seeing Lin Yan enter, the second-generation individuals in the room all stood up and greeted him.
